Thank you so much for doing this! I’m supposed to enrol some time in the near future so it’s really nice to know what I’m getting into. There isn’t enough content on this. Also, really nice to know that other UofT kids are making it work. Thanks!

    • @jules2957

Minimum is 20 pushups ,31 situps, 7 pull ups, 1 mile run must be under 7:30 minutes, 600 m rushes 2:30 min. These are standards to try and meet.

@@KyraNankivell The pt sessions just need attendance. The standard of fitness is best to try to maintain to make life easier on course. However para courses you must meet tht to qualify.

They’re two separate streams, you’ll take one or the other depending on if you’re an Officer or NCM!
BMOQ - Basic military officer qualification (basic for officers)
BMQ - Basic military qualification (basic for NCMs)

  • @meghanalmighty

Hey there, Kyra! I heard you say you're not representative of the CAF. I want to tell you, yes! Yes, you are! We all are who wear the uniform. The reserves is a valid and useful part of our organization. We are a single organization made up of thousands of different and unique people! As I'm sure you've noticed by now, it's our diversity that really makes us succeed. Everyone learns differently based on experiences. And one of the best things people can know about us is that we're human. 😊
If you came through basic as the pandemic hit, you will have experienced the weirdest entry into the CAF ever. My wife went from the intensity of BMOQ to working from home for two years. Talk about extreme change of pace!
These videos are awesome! You're doing great work and I hope another generation of CAF members were inspired to join because of you. Keep up the great work!

Thanks in advance for the awnser good job on bmoq again you'll kill it

In Reg. Force you are taught to keep your arms to your side as well. I was taught you were only allowed crossing your arms in front of you if you are a Chaplain or an MP, and that is when you are at ease and not at attention

Make sure you are in top shape before enrolling in order to have an easier time once you complete basic and are sent off to Gagetown for training. A couple of buddies of mine are in the combat engineer building and the PT they tell me they have to do is extremely intense
