Not sure if this has been mentioned in the comments: the CFAT is now, Verbal Skills - 15 questions (5 minutes). Spatial Ability - 15 questions (10 minutes). Problem Solving - 30 questions (45 minutes)
I did the test few months before covid was going into infantry. Honestly it was pretty tricky and difficult the time limit definitely does worry you. Go in with a positive mindset study and you will be good!
Covid travel restrictions ruined my childhood dream so now I'm gonna be a Ranger and do timber reconnaissance for a forestry company. I'll be like 40 by the time Covid settles down

I'm in the CAF now, been in for a little over 8 years. I'll be rewriting the CFAT on Monday (Oct 18) in order for me to OT from Gunner to Dental Tech. I'm nervous, but I want to say I feel like I will do better this time around.

So, unfortunately, I'm still waiting to hear about whether I've been accepted into a subsidized education program geared towards regular force, non-commissioned members (NCM) called the NCM-STEP program (which won't be until mid March/early April). I have already been accepted into the college - just to wait to hear back about the other half. If I am accepted, the course won't start until Sept, 2022. Are you already a CAF member? Or are you in the process of applying?
@@feloniej To add, from what I've heard from other Dental Techs...it's a pretty great career. And they all love it. It's busy, but it's not the same sort of busy as you would expect on the civilian side of the house.
@@feloniej I would have to get back to you on the first half of your question. There are, yes. Dental Officers. I'm not sure how it's like for the officers in this trade, I do know that they like it, that it's not as stressful as it is civilian side (for both NCMs and Officers).

having to rewatch these playlist of the CFAT videos due to me being 5 points off what i wanted to do but coming back to study for the rewrite im noticing i may have freaked out to much about the test. because when i rewatch the videos im noticing the questions arnt hard there just worded in ways to confuse you and having you explain and guide someone who it helps a lot thanks for making this playlist and all your videos on it. (it would be awsome to see a updated playlist regarding the new times for the questions and for the new test)

So from what im getting its like anywhere else. Schooling reccomended but if you can prove youre smart enough and a quick enough learner, theyll back you and you can still be anything as long as you score high enough

These videos are ok for explaining what to expect... however there is FAR too much in terms of info you will need to study... do not rely on these videos...the test is alot longer and with much more in depth questions that a few simple basic examples....
Where did this pass or fail a CFAT came from?? You do not pass or fail a CFAT as it is not an exam. It is an aptitude test to see what general areas of learning and understanding you are strong in and where you might struggle. It's basically an IQ test.
Hey! I would say practice questions for an hour everyday (or some number of questions each day). Consistent practice is the best way. Also try creating pressure my timing yourself doing a full length CFAT once and a while
You know its funny that I used to Solve problems in advanced trigonometry, coordinate geometry and linear algebra and other fun stuff. But since i started Working after collage i just felt like a Rat in a infinite Race who couldn't even perform basic Long Divisions and Multiplication. But thanks for the Info

Hi, I am wondering if there is any height requirement for fitness test. I just wish to work as a support person may be in HR or logistics not as a combat person, I am female with 4ft 10 inches height.
I'm trying to go through for Aerospace Control Officer, after looking online, the amount of intakes each year is around 350 I think, it was kind of confusing. As long as you perform well on the CFAT and had good grades they will look at you. I currently have to wait for the CBAT's till next year because of shutdowns and time limits,. however, my recruiter was pretty sure I was going to be accepted into the RMC. (My grades weren't high also. Mainly college level classes, ~90 average though)

Do you think for Full time infantry just barely passing the test is enough and what is the required percentage of a pass?
You can qualify for the trade but not be competitive enough. You’re best bet is to study and do the best you possibly can.

What happened if u failed the problem solving part of the test
It's unclear how the scoring scheme works. Although it's likely that failing one section affects your ability to pass the test.
I tried using the link, but it didn't seem to do anything. It just defaulted to the home page of the armt test website with no promo. Did it expire?

Question Im going for the test on the 16th of November at the Regina detachment. Im fairly confident in passing but when does the drug test come? I wanna know if I should quit smoking weed entirely or if they dont care im not a regular smoker but do occasionally smoke cannabis and cigarettes. What should I expect?
