After one year of studying civil engineering at UofT I decided my life needed more excitement. In the summer of 2019, I enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Engineer Officer. I am now sharing the journey from civilian to soldier with curious Canadians all around the country! I hope to provide clarity, support those going through the process and provide studying tips for the CFAT exam. I partnered with a company that provides over 1100 practice CFAT questions and a personal training assistant! Support the channel and ace your CFAT at army-test.com/kyra. If you have any questions/comments direct message me on Instagram @explore.caf. Thanks so much for watching my videos! Have a great day (:

BMOQ WEEKEND 7/12: Weapons Testing & PC005, PC011!
this one i'm just gonna have to wing, i do not have the cranial capacity to mentally fold and unfold anything more complicated than squares
Literally want to train my body before going if I'm not married by 26/27 joining
You only really start making a sustainable wage until cpl 4 which is five years, no affordable housing at all
why is it so unfair for the people that failed on cfat multiple times and the new comers are able to not take the exams for CFAT😢 all i want is to be in CAF😭 im desperate
I applied at the same time as my friend we both filled out the paperwork at the same time, both did the CFAT test on the same day (the recruiting centre is an hour away from us so we commuted together) but when it came to the screening process my friend already got an email back and I’m still waiting and have been waiting for a long time. It’s getting really depressing anyone have any advice?
Davis Donna Harris Kevin Wilson Kimberly
It’s very informative and thank you 😊 Do you have any advice on the interviews, hopefully the interview questions? Would they be similar to other regular job interviews?
Hernandez Frank Hall Mark Hernandez Karen
Martinez Melissa Clark Eric Moore Kenneth
Moore Sarah White Carol Brown George
Clark Elizabeth Martin William Miller Shirley
Thompson Linda Lopez Nancy Williams Kimberly
Hernandez Thomas Lopez Lisa Gonzalez Ruth
I followed her instagram to message and ask questions about the application process, she rejected my request? so I guess shes not open for questions anymore for anyone needing that. Still good info in the video thanks.
If you fail you just keep trying and stay there until you pass or decide to VR or do dumb shii and then get kicked out but that doesn’t happen just because you failed and you get multiple tries until recourses and even then it’s for you to train and be able to try some more. Yes mental health is valued there’s a whole thing for that at the MIR and at basic there is R2MR and tactical breathing all that. And things have changed now.
I am 49, I would like to join the CAF like part time job, do I do all tests before to join it like a men 18-30 years old?
What’s with all the badges? Military has gone stupid.
So you get to be woke , inclusive , must follow and adhere to the guidelines of the LGBTQ++ ideology you must use pronouns, no yelling berating or any form of disciplinary actions , you don't have to do any serious physical training if you don't want to

I just passed the CFAT today and your video really helped. Thank you!!
Was it easy I got mine on Wednesday
@@baduracket depends on what your strengths are. I found the spatial ability stuff tough and the problem solving quite easy
hello kyra,Thanks for the informative videos.I already booked for Canadian Forces Aptitude Test and Trait Self Descriptive Personality Inventory class. I am unware about Trait Self Descriptive Personality Inventory class, how does this works?
HI kyra, it is really helpful.May god bless you with alot of love and happiness.
Well as long as you're woke, and a big part of the lgtbq++ ,transgenders are more than welcome ,they offer you a completely safe environment, tampon dispensers in the men's washroom ,so you may also select whatever gender bathrooms and shower facilities you wish to use ,also you men transitioning to women can play sports in whatever gender you choose ,so you can definately compete with cis females
hey Kyra what trade were/are you in the CAF
I applied to a in demand job and my educational background will be a good fit for the careers I picked. I am currently in the pre-screening phase how long can I hope to wait before I hear back for an interview or a medical. I was told I should hear back in 2 weeks it’s been a month now
Clearly explained and nicely done.
Can someone explain the offer aspect of the application? Like what do they offer?
Recriuting process is bad because of incompetent people and the army doesnt really want anybody but the alphabets and now you cant trust the new CDS and her intentions
Pay is way to low for anyone with a brain to enlist
Hi my CFAT test is on aug 29th and im really poor in math. I hopr you can help me. THANKS
i got mine on the 26th aug
Waste an entire year of your life before being told they cant offer you the career you were promised then lose my file altogether
what do you do exactly in the Army as a new recruit, no specializations. Do you actually go into war zones? I'm not sure what they do once the training is over
I passed the CFAT this morning. Thanks Kyra for the guidance. I watched your videos on the Aptitude Test and gained incredible insight into the Test.
how long it took them to ask u to take the test after registration?
@@azeturkmen They had my file from my previous discontinued application. They just amalgamated the new profile so they didn't have to go through so much in my case. I believe the initial process can take 4-6weeks before they ask you to come in for a test.
@@hasanalifayzan Got it, thanks, man. Good luck 💪
Does Anyone have a general timeframe on processing stages for the application process? I'm planning my move right now to enlist into the CAF as a US Army Veteran as well as submitting for my Perm. Res. I would like to have an ideal plan of action time line but couldnt find anything to go off of.
You got another Subscriber Kyra. Cool explanation.
I failed CFAT 2 times and I don’t want to take another CFAT for the third time. I won’t be able to bypass😭 my absolute weakness is CFAT. All i want is to be a navy Cook and be part of the military. Why can’t I just bypass and do my best in the basic training, but I am still interested, eager to be in military even I failed many times😭 I may not smart in academic but I assure you that I am a hard working and dedicated in my work. Please help me out😭 I am desperate!!!
The caf is now offering jobs that don't require the CFAT. I would say call your recruiter up and ask if that trade is one of them and if so how can you proceed.
You look absolutely gorgeous! I failed my 2 attempts on cfat however I did an upgrading after. Can I bypass? I don’t wannna take the exams it’s so hard, but i can do better in the training and do hard work. Just don’t make me do math pleaseeee. Can I bypass when I did the upgrading already? even though I failed two times on CFAT????
Please tell me it’s not going to take a year or more to get into infantry everything I’m reading is making me feel really discouraged
Yeah people get bottlenecked on the security clearance part. It normally depends on which recruitment center you are in. For example Quebec would book you for cfat, medical and interview then do the clearance while they wait for your spot. But for toronto since its a bit crowded here they are getting a lot of bottlenecks.
I did my CFAT, excellent medical interview, they wanted background from doctor etc and i was hit with a "did not meet requirement due to medical reasons" im wondering if its due to my medication
Yes. This my opinion on medical. Do not disclose that you have a medical condition unless it is obvious. Keep it to yourself never tell them anything. If you do will not get in.
@@3nkrypted cant do that in Canada, you have to give permission to your files, if you dont you cant join.
@@JustAnotherNuurrdd Yes you can! I would know. I have fought 2.5 years to appeal a medical issue that no longer affects me. If I didn't say anything in the first place, I would have been serving. You don't give permission to CAF to do anything when it comes to your files, they do whatever they wait. The purpose for the medical interview is to clear the CAF for any lawsuits that may arise from you being "sick" and also in their words " unfit for service".
@@3nkrypted and you need too, you need to be employable abd deployable. You lie about medications, etc, they send you out, you run out, what are you supposed to do when the CANEX, city your in etc doesnt have your meds and the military doesnt know you take them in the first place? Thats how you get a dishonorable lmao they dont need to be liable for someones bullshit, the military is a job, not a daycare.
If I have BP and type 2 diabetes, does it mean I can't join the CAF
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Nobody is signing on to this gongshow anymore!
What is a women Kyra?
never join the Military
Do you have to know algebra and calculus for the CFAT, some people are saying to study this type of math.
Please can I join from Ghana
No, you need to be Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
I have my cfat test tmr, wish me gl
Thank u so much kyra for your help, today i pass my cfat test and i choose marine technician. I also want to know about the interview how that works and can pls also make video on that one just like as you made on cfat. Again thank u so much
So from what im getting its like anywhere else. Schooling reccomended but if you can prove youre smart enough and a quick enough learner, theyll back you and you can still be anything as long as you score high enough
On the application, they ask for 3 choices of jobs.
This is what institutional weakness looks and sounds like.
