its best to do it manually when youve just recently purchased your domain. otherwise youll need to wait 60 days to automatically transfer it. DNS method is instant. This video was exaclty what i was looking for brother. Just needed to make sure where the values go lol i had an idea but wanted to save time being error free

Ok because when I try to transfer it, it says “your domain is not yet connected,” or your domain’s CNAME doesn’t point to Shopify”

The video is quite informative. But where did you get the IP address from which you pasted on the notes? that was quite confusing for me.
If you click on the "Verify Connection" it will show you that IP address and value for both A and CNAME entry. Thats how he got this info.
Shopify provides it, I copied and pasted it from there, its the same value as provided in description of this video
Delete existing CNAME and a then try again

it says i have like 5 or 6 cname things on dns settings do I delete them all then add the shopify one?
same, im going to try to delete them all and add them on shopify. BUT i will be taking down the info from each DNS Setting just incase we need it in the future! Keep me updated to see how your process goes

@@gvvdoo yes, i went to their chat support and contacted them on whatsApp, asked them to add the cname itself or whatever and they will do it for you.

Because you have GoDaddy’s “Website Security” plan and the firewall blocks any DNS changes, the “record could not be added” error is most likely caused by the GoDaddy Website Security plan. As a result, the solution is to completely disable the firewall.

i saw a similar comment to this earlier, but i believe that you have the site running already. You should unpublish it in the godaddy settings, and that should fix it

Guys if your CNAME showing can’t delete and can’t edit then remove shopify template in the same screen and add again with CNAME www etc…

Hey man thank you for your video, I just want to know. Now that I have connected my shopify store to my go daddy domain. Do I use shopify to build the store or do I use go daddy website builder. I’m so confused, please help.
The only reason to link it is to use tye shopify builder instead of godaddy builder
