"When you win a piece [...] you just have an extra thing that they don't have" - boy genius Aman Hambleton delivering us the wisdom we need
22:00 If I had a GM explaining things like this when I was a kid, my chess would have been a whole bunch better than it is today. Plus, it's free. Like Aman's knight. Which makes it gold, in my book.
That final mate was a thing of beauty 🤌
What a great perspective for life, Aman. Spending time before a lost position not in a lost position.
I felt happy instead of sad when he called us dumbasses. Like he really cares about our progress
i just played the worst game in history (blundering back and forth win my opponent) and when he said it i thought "i can't even disagree"
“You guys are all dumbasses.”
-GM Aman “It’s Just a Free Piece” Hambleton, 2022
0:10 as white vs sicilian
6:50 as white vs french
15:30 as black vs stonewall
24:42 as white vs caro-kann
30:59 as white vs french
35:47 as black vs larson attack
48:13 as black vs KIA
did him dirty with that knight promotion at the end lmao
Just want to say I havent been able to catch the stream in quite a while, but watching this KI climb and Erics speedrun have been awesome. Thank you guys !
Loving this series! Nice explanation about the generic worth of the exchange vs minor piece and even queen for rook…. And the games are heating up, too!
Love this series, will keep subbing to y'all on twitch. Thank you!
When you have mate in 1, find a mate in 4.
I love this series so much man. Both you and Eric should do similar series with different openings. I'm enjoying his bullet speed run but this series is infinitely more instructive.
I love Eric but Aman's on another level of likability IMHO
I think it would be more interesting if they both did speedruns using the same opening so we could see how they each play the middlegames.
Agree. the speed run with lot of different opening will confuse beginner like me 👍
Great coaching learned a lot love your videos.
You're the best! thanks for these great speedruns
That last win was HEFTY! The finish though with the knight!!!
After watching the king's indian climb for hours and hours, I have successfully gotten pinned/forked, and hung my queen in multiple games trying it out myself. :D
Keep the educational content comin! Aman Is the best chess teacher on RUclips.
Brilliant series. Totally love it! Got a couple of questions for the KIA. What happens after the usual 1.e4 e5 then 2.Nf3 d5? My second question is, you know in the KID if they play LSB c4 you often capture the e4 pawn with your Nf6 they then recapture with their Nc3 and then you fork them with your d pawn - why don't you ever do that with the KIA?
Will there be a possibility to watch all games in the future, not just selected ones?
What's worthier than a extra knight?
You.

I learned the French kings Indian attack from Bobby Fischer’s games and it’s cool to see aman play like how I learned it
Opponent : oh really made a very legendary move, because he is thinking...
Aman: which mate should i choose..
I've had that position before playing the Nimzo Larsen and I always take the Bishop
That last game, i had that position before where my opponent actually did the same thing like your speedrun. I think he watch this vid too
I dont know if you read comments, but at first i thought you were douchey and was annoyed at the high level flexing and not comprehending your thought process. But with this series, things make sense and I understand your once perceived arrogance is actually confidence. Thank you for posting this you have helped me immensely and the pace you move is faster than eric rosenberg so i prefer this channel for insight. If youre reading this, thanks again and have a nice day.
I hope you played a really good game nasser! You should be proud if so.
its amazing to see a player of my same level draw a great player like aman
Return of the king
26:54 what if he takes on h5? I didn’t catch why it would be worst than it was
There are times where Bishops are at least as good as a Rook, too.
kings indian is so chill
These 1800's are insane. Top of my future range, easy.
nice, 1 day pre payroll exam, time to watch some chess :DD
Thanks
What happens if he takes e4 well then I take his knight for free ND I say thank you😂😂😂
aman wolk up and chose violence
How does this get easier as the ELO goes up??
When would a rook ever be more valuable than a queen, other than to avoid stalemate?
I was wondering this too. Only thing I can think of is maybe piece activity? An active rook that’s free to move about the board is probably more valuable than a queen that’s stuck in a corner tied down defending stuff or something.
Hey Chessbrahs: A request: Can you upgrade the techno that we RUclips denizens get? I mean, I like it and all, but it's the same old same old. I imagine you're pumping out the good stuff on Twitch, but throw us RUclips inhabiters a bone, please.
Lets go aman
Why did the 1700's feel like they were easier to beat than the 1400's??
He's a Gm
Gms make good players look absolutely stupid
maybe because the 1400s were blundering entire pieces while the 1700s lost positionally
The 1700 around 15:00-20:00 played a terrible game for that rating
What’s your rating Rambo
@@mozes1486 😆about 1700. That’s why I felt I had the knowledge 😁
How good that as soon as I load up this is my first recommended video - uploaded 2 mins ago, STOP THAT, how good!
Did i just watch this for free??❤️
I like to see aman play
Why put the King on a2 at the beginning ?
Sorry h2…
When you push h3 it creates a weakness that can often get attacked with a queen bishop battery etc. It preemptively protects that pawn so those kinds of attacks don't come with tempo, which can be really deadly
Andai saya ada Translate bahasa Indonesia
4:24 I'm being genuinely honest here when I say I saw Knight g6 immediately. It's such an incredible move because if you don't take it there's nothing you can do to stop h8 mate, and if you do take it I think it's still mate after you play queen takes back on g6, then bishop on h8 has to slide over, you push the push, rook takes, queen takes, king slides over to the right, queen check, king moves over and pawn push to g6 solidifies mate.
I swear I play so many no brain 1900s on lichess who spent 3 sec for the first 10 moves and after getting that deadlost position they start thinking while spending more time then they saved in the opening. I call this bullet brain. And I always let time run to 1 sec before mating them ;)
gxf1=N+ 😭
First
I have a higher rapid rating than your speedonly account! Just don’t pay attention to all the other ratings that i’m well below.
