Thanks for the updated vid Mr. Lutz! I do it all exactly the same way! As luck would have it-I’ve actually got a grand total of 64 buggy and truggy tires to mount up this evening…😅🤷🏻♂️
New to the sport. Just wonder if you could advise please. I’ve a Kyosho Neo 3 nitro. And changing the wheels to dish rims. Do I need to use foam inserts inside the tyres? Geoff (UK)
Tires need to be made in the tire to allow air to escape as it’s the foam that keeps the shape of the tire. If you don’t put holes the tire will expand as it builds air. I choose to put in sidewall, some will put in the center of the tire. If you run on a clean surface you could also put in the wheel.
It was really awesome to meet you at the 2023 Wicked Weekend in GA. Gave me some great pro tips. I appreciate it👍
Any time! Happy to help!

Thanks for the comment! Have fun gluing tonight. Sounds like a fun night ahead!
@@RyanLutz yessir!!! I appreciate the reply buddy!
Great tip about the rubber band 👌
Thanks Lutz
No problem 👍
Could you do a video on tire selection please?
Drake did one but he uses the JC color coding when talking about compound which makes it hard to understand unless you know there color system
Very informative video thank you for making this.
Glad it was helpful!
Does simple green leave a film residue on tires?

Watching this as I'm gluing some tires 😄
Did it work? 😁
@RyanLutz we'll know this weekend 😆
Are those LUX tires available for retail. Been waiting to fry them out!!
Yes they are! Link in description!
This guy don’t know what he’s doing. Not once did he glue the tire to the table or the glue to his hand
😂 that is usually a prerequisite.
Good Vid Ryan!
Thank you 👍🏼
How are you liking the Lux tires?
Liking them a lot. Have been using them at most races I’ve been to recently. Great forward bite and corner speed and super long wear.
All my wheels wobble.. on a tire balancer... even pre glued ones... what's going on??
Make a vid of gluing truggy tires ryan
Whats the purpose of punching holes?
Makes the foam softer and allows the foam around the holes the space to fill in the holes on impacts thus perhaps helping in rough sections.
Grazie ottimo Davide Roma
Thank you 👍🏼
The video doesn't say for what purpose the side holes are made in the tire?
Tires need to be made in the tire to allow air to escape as it’s the foam that keeps the shape of the tire. If you don’t put holes the tire will expand as it builds air.
