    I'd like to see the Jets use the passing game to set up runs early. Get Breece more involved in short throws and screen passes. Use both Hall and Allen in a two set running back formation and then set Breece in motion. Use Wilson more in the slot. Activate Corley and use him in the slot when Garret is split outside. Jets need to use more motion and be less predictable.

    I dont think Downing is a huge upgrade to Hackett, but you got to change things. I would prefer somebody like Middleton to call some shots. See what he has. But at this point, just trying to find any spark is prefered at this point.

    In the last 3 years Nathaniel Hackett offenses have scored 59 TDs and 51 interceptions, and his offenses average more than 6 punts a game. A GAME!!

    Rex Ryan's sole contribution to the offense was he didn't want them to lose the game. I believe Saleh's philosophy was similar. I'm sure the Jets offense have plays already in their playback to be successful. They just need a HC who is willing to utilize them. Ian stay safe and find some high ground. I am riding out the storm here in Ponte Vedra.

    I watched Aaron on McAfee and he said pretty much what he was expected to say, I did think that he showed a bit of class reminding people of the human side of the firing. I do also think that Saleh is a great defensive coach but not a head coach and that is a large part of our slow starts. Its going to be a hard week for the team and it makes, what was always a big game on Monday night, into a massive game with the whole country watching for the drama. I hope Jeff can do it and lets go JETS!!!!!

      Man i know people hate the race thing but I really believe people are rationalizing a distaste for his heritage. Nothing else makes sense. If he lets Hackett and Rodgers run the offense, they're terrible, and fans call for Salah's firing because "SALAH was not our defense coordinator!!!! He was a Head coach!!!!" But when he pulls rank and tries to fix the offense, Rodgers has him fired outright. People wouldn't put members of their own kind in such a catch-22.

    • @Vandal1985
      @Vandal1985 3 часа назад +5

      @@Edward19892 I really do not think this has anything to do with race and everything to do with Nepotism. Saleh, who should’ve been fired still, wanted to demote Hackett ( a coach that should have never gotten a coaching position again) and Rodgers fragile ego just could not handle that.

    There has to be changes made on the offensive side of the ball. They are not playing up to their abilities. As HC Saleh didn't make changes. Just did the same thing expecting a different result. Can't start slowly. At least HC Gase had the Jets doing well in the early going.

  • @rbiv5
    @rbiv5 2 часа назад +1

    If I was Ulbricht, I would cede defensive play calling for this first game. He needs to get a feel for his role as a HC and not be too distracted with coordinator minutia. If after a few games he's more comfortable, then he could take over the duties again.

    I think we should be running more plays out of a 2 TE set running and passing, every set looks the same but you don’t know if their running or passing , and play action would be a killer. We have the personal, I really don’t understand why they won’t utilize it

  • @jackhaber1703
    @jackhaber1703 4 часа назад +2

    this is what im hoping for, as an optimist my perspective is that Ulbrich has been putting out a great defense for 2 years and had to watch Hackett put out the complete opposite but he couldn't say anything because he was just the DC. It's pretty obvious Salah let them do whatever they wanted bc the only reason he probably still had a job after f'ing up zach wilson was bringing in aaron rodgers. Im praying that ulbrich marches right into hackett's office and destroys him, then passes play calling duty to somebody else or just completely changes our style of play bc our offense right now is atrocious. We are still in a position to go to the playoffs because our division is so bad. There a world with how up and down buffalo wins that 9-8 wins the division. 10 wins for sure gets it done.
    In Ulbrich we trust
