Rodgers has been roughed up and smacked around and the owner didnt like it. thats why Saleh gets fired, not necessarily all his fault, but you cant fire the owner, or the GM who made these player moves apparently, so its Saleh who gets shit canned. song as old as time.

Rodgers has gotten away with so much. He's a bit of a spoiled bratt at this point. After missing an entire year he cant even make it to training camp? He seems to think he is better than he is. His whole career he has leaned on amazing wide receivers. What is troubling to me is he comes off as an unmotivated Know-it-all. He used to scramble, now he just throws it somewhere and hopes for the best. Is Aaron trying to get better? Is he even coachable at this point? The Jets run game is ass especially compared to the last few seasons. And even their defense seems somewhat deflated. I think firing Coach Saleh was a mistake so early. 2-3 in not THAT bad. Superbowl Niners have the same record.

Salea is not a defensive coach now. He is the head coach and he's responsible for everything. The offense, defense, special teams, everything. And so when he's evaluated, he's evaluated as a head coach and that's involves his one/loss record, which is atrocious. And that's why he's being fired. He's a complete failure as a head coach, not a defensive coach. And he absolutely deserves to be fired. My view, anyway.

Where does this end is what I want to know? There is no way in the world the Jets can think they're winning the Lombadi this year. Rodgers has 2 maybe 3 seasons left, at best. Their original plan was to trade for Rodgers, win a ton of games, compete for the Super Bowl, Rodgers mentors and fixes Zach Wilson, Rodgers retires, and Zach takes over again. Zach is out. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall don't look the same. If Rodgers decides to walk away at the end of this season, he's good. He'll be in the HOF in 5 years. The team is washed. And I don't really get how the owner, GM and head coach could be ok with giving so much power to a QB who left his old team and lost his old All-Pro receiver because he was non-committal about how long he wanted to continue doing this.

Why is it so hard for some to consider that this was initiated by Rodgers? I don't get that given his history. Not sure why anyone would hire a 41 year old guy who is at the end of his career, not physically capable of playing how he has most of his career and topped off with a bizarre personality to put it politely. Locker room cancer is a phrase coined for guys like Rodgers, too polarizing. I don't follow the Jets but this makes me assume that Jet's ownership is of the same bizarre mindset as Rodgers? @@SoniSingh-fl8cf What are you talking about? The Jets have a top ranked defence with numbers across every category. It's not Saleh's fault the idiot owner and general manager drafted an awful quarterback who was costing them games for two years. Nor is it Saleh's fault the offence isn't functioning. He tried to rectify the problem but was then thrown under the bus by Rodgers who has been stinking it up all season. If we're playing the blame game it goes 1) Woody Johnson (rips off spectators and then lets them be drowned in bad weather because he's too cheap to shelter his paying customers. 2) Woody Johnson - because he installed (cheap) field turf which has injured more Jets players than the opposition and 3) Woody Johnson - because he's in the top three worst owners in the NFL.

Rodgers looks like a guy who thinks he is better than everybody else in the building ... 5 years ago he was right, not 2024

I feel like last year the rodgers trade was a last ditch effort. Hes at least gotta take responsibility in that fact. Say we needed to fix the offense for him to keep his job and didnt do it. Talking about how the locker room has no accountability and then not taking any is definitely not the route tho lmao.

The real question isn't why did the Jets fire him. It's why does Nick Sirianni still have a job. And also why does Howie still have a job, cause he has drafted a single defensive player that has gotten a 2nd contract yet...

Skip to 4:23 to hear talk about the Jets. Also Jets got rid of 2 highly drafted QBs & now Rodgers has similar stats. Saleh couldn't fix the offense.

Jets fan here who didn't see this exact scenario playing out when there were rumors of Rodgers coming to the Jets. 🙄
As Long said, the team isn't built right. Sports pundits in the offseason, "The Jets have all the pieces to win the Super Bowl." Did anyone seriously evaluate the Jets at WR before the season started? Tell me how that's 'all the pieces'. And Garrett Wilson gets 22 Targets against the Vikings.
Did anyone contemplate the roadmap for the Jets before bringing Rodgers in? Rodgers, 2 or 3 seasons left. Gave up way too much for him, to his former franchise who no longer wanted him. Didn't understand his contract.
Wilson, Gardner, and Jermaine Johnson on Rookie contracts. Jets have 31 free agents at the end of this season. Traded away Huff for Reddick, and can't sign the player that they traded for.
And fire Saleh 5 games in. What are we talking about here?!
The answer: NEW YORK JETS FOOTBALL.

The Packers aren’t putting a playoff winning QB out for curbside pickup they are putting out the trash.

I think because Saleh voted and coordinated the Offense against Rodgers will. We all know that Hackett dont call the Plays he let Aaron do his stuff , and Ulbrich does more for the Defense than Saleh ever could, and i dont think Aaron would call a two in a row run on 3x3 and 4x2 against the Vikings. Thats is the real Reason i think they fired him!

RE nicotine, I used to work in psychiatry and we'd do a lot of behavioral therapy there. And I used to smoke at the time and decided to try those techs on myself. Just brain off and wildly manipulate my own behavior for three months and see what happens. Or rather replace it. From cigarettes, which I just quit cold turkey, to snus for a month and then from that to eventually water and carrots. After two months of doing this I was basically addicted to lozenges and tepid water instead of nicotine. And I had no physical effects at all because I was still doing the same destructive behavior, just with harmless stuff replacing the bad things. As long as you stay in your behavioral loop of self-rewards, your brain will not be able to tell the difference. And if your brain doesn't, your body won't either. I would peal my carrots if I thought I deserved a reward and that was enough for my tiny brain. Anyway, human behavior is really stupid and simple is my point. As long as you embrace your own mindlessness you can exchange unhealthy habits for healthy ones very quickly.

Why did the Jets Fire Robert Saleh?
Well, Aaron Rodgers is an old dog. And Selah wanted to teach him new Tricks. Rodgers thought he heard new Trips.
And while acid does sometimes come 100 to a sheets, and 100 sheets to a book, there were only plays on that paper in that book.
