Aw, I was expecting a 30th anniversary gingerbread house for the ballroom. Nightmare before Christmas is turning 30 this year.
Why would they do that
@@Maxtheworm-iz7mb I just said Nightmare Before Christmas is turning 30 this year.
@@Maxtheworm-iz7mbidiot
That would be sick.
@@LynCubed oops 😅
It's amazing that each year that's a REAL gingerbread house in the dancing hall set. Amazing design n work
Provost Park Pass making a quick cameo! 00:05
Well spotted!
This year's gingerbread house goes so hard
I wanted a 30th anniversary gingerbread house…but the one we’ve got is pretty great tho!
I feel like that’s the creepiest ginger bread house to date.
I am headed to Disneyland soon, it will be my first time experiencing this overlay in person
Definitely like being there in the queue around dusk when the lights come on and the "welcome" announcement goes off.
I love this holiday overlay so much 💜💜💜
Same
I was expecting them to bring back the bat in the cage prop… 🦇
I hope the caged bat comes back with the new expansion announced after Holiday.
Like how the ghost is the one in the little building to the left of the little executioner scene in the graveyard
I SEE PROVOST PARK PASS!
Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems. In a place that, perhaps, you've seen in your dreams. For the story that you are about to be told, began with the holiday worlds of old. I know you're curious to see what's inside, it's what happens when two holidays collide.
Welcome, my friends, to our Christmas delight. Come witness a ghoulishly glorious sight. It's time for our holiday tale to begin, there's no turning back now. Please, come all the way in.
Our holiday tale, is a tale that's quite charming. But, during this season, it's sometimes alarming. So, relax and reflect. Feel free to take pause, while we tell you a tale about dear Sandy Claws.
Twas the nightmare before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was peaceful, not even a mouse. The stockings, all hung by the chimney with care, when opened that morning, would cause such a *scare!* The children, nestled all snug in their beds, would have nightmares of monsters and skeleton heads. (scary laughter)
Jack Skellington: Happy Holidays, everyone! (laughter)
Now, hurry along. As they say; Look alive, this is one holiday you will want to survive. (scary laughter)
Jack Skellington came here from Halloween Town. You'll notice his handy work, scattered around.
This year, he's decided to play Sandy Claws. But, when Halloween creates Christmas, you might see a few flaws.
And now, a dark carriage will take you away. Sit back, *rest in peace,* in your black Christmas sleigh. (chuckle) Your sleigh will accommodate one or two more, we hope you're prepared for what Jack has in store.
Don't pull down the bar, it will float down, with ease. And remember, *NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY,* please.
Yes, down through the chimney Jack flew like a bat, clutching his magical Sandy Claws sack. He ripped open the sack, and in moments, it seems, created a Christmas you have in bad dreams.
More rapid than vultures, the Mansion was changed. All was soon covered, adorned, and deranged. And what, to your wondering eyes, disappears, is Jack's little friend Zero, the ghost dog reindeer.
Zero: (barking)
Nothing here was forgotten, it all looks so pleasant. A coffin, Jack says, makes a fine Christmas present. (scary laughter)
The Man-Eating Plant makes a wonderful wreath, as long as you don't, get caught in its teeth.
Jack's Holiday vision was unlike no other. So, ring out the bells! There's more cheer to uncover.
Madame Leoda: On the 13th day of Christmas, my ghoul love gave to me: 13 rings of power, embracing strength that never ends. 12 signs of the zodiac, that rule the future and transcend. 11 candles floating, their scent of mystery in the air. 10 telling tea leaves, that swirl with secrets yet to share. On the 9th day of Christmas, my ghoul love gave to me: 9 magic crystals, that sparkle with a force that is pure. 8 balls of knowledge, that answer with a truth that is sure. 7 pearls of wisdom, to keep my love bewitched to me. 6 mystic mirrors, reflecting futures yet to be. On the 5th day of Christmas, my ghoul love gave to me: 5 lucky charms, to understand the right from wrong. 4 wheels of fortune, to spin their rich and golden song. 3 life lines, extending help to those in need. 2 passion potions, that love and romance may succeed. On the 1st day of Christmas, my ghoul love gave to me: a star, a brilliant star for my fortune card tree.
With some treats and some games, you can make a scene merry. Why, even a gingerbread house could seem scary. All at once, happy haunts did materialize. Like a nightmarish painting by Currier and Ives.
A bag full of toys Jack had slung on his back. They were strange and bizarre, (chuckle) and on the *attack.*
Sandy Claws worked his magic, both outside and in. But one final touch, made his boney face grin. "Now, what better gift on my friends to bestow, than a graveyard that's covered in ghostly white snow?" As Jack sprang to his sleigh, three hitchhikers he spied. They asked, "Sandy Claws! May we please have a ride?" But Jack waved goodbye, for he just could not stay. He had much to deliver before Christmas Day. May Jack's ghostly presents now follow you home, and keep in your hearts where 'ere you may roam, for now you know what happens when holidays meet. You might get a trick, or a holiday treat.
I have never seen Haunted Mansion Holiday till today in this video. Loved it. I've not been to Disney for 17 years (approx).
YAY IT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear I can smell that gingerbread house if I close me eyes and focus.
I'm so excited, going for my first time to Disneyland in us this Halloween, I cannot wait to experience this irl 😻
It's so good to have the Haunted Mansion Holiday back again hard to believe it's that time of the year again
Once again time to hail to the pumpkin song

Happy Opening Day Haunted Mansion Holiday!!!!! 🎃
i daresay this gingerbread house is in the top 5 of all of them ever!
I think it would be so cool to see a Zero gingerbread house since he is seen floating by the tree right after the gingerbread house
That Oogie Boogie is impressive ❤
I wonder how the line re-do is gonna affect HMH
Even Chris Provost of @ProvostParkPass was there!
I was expecting a Nightmare before Christmas 30th anniversary gingerbread house… still a W
Ironically the holiday overlay is scarier than the actual ride
Amazing!
Haunted Manskion holiday 2023 ride NightMare Before christmas
I think the dance scene is the emptiest of the whole attraction because there are less spirit than the old version of Haunted Mansion Holiday
Didn't that snowflake Jack's holding above the gate used to twirl?

See you in 2024 regular Haunted Mansion.
With a brand new line!!
Still waiting for the "Free Sleigh Rides" sign next to the Following Busts to return.. really upset they removed that ever since Holiday came back.
super
Is this only at the California location, or is it also at the Florida location?
This is only at the California location and the Tokyo location.
Bob Iger no.1 in making its workers homeless
Did u know the background song is the polyphon version of the Haunted Mansion theme?
Cool!
I just don’t understand why they don’t do this MK
Disney decided that since MK is visited by mostly national/international guests, they didn’t want to take away anyone’s only chance to see the Haunted Mansion. Majority of Disneyland’s guests are locals who go several times a year so they decided it would be a special overlay for SoCal residents over the holidays. They originally did make an overlay for MK, but when Disney decided not to do it they sent the overlay to Tokyo Disneyland (which has the same layout as MK) since, like Disneyland, the Tokyo location is mostly visited by locals who won’t miss the original over the holidays.
That blows
I hate the Haunted Mansion but I love this overlay. It’s so bright and fun!
Why do you hate the original? What about it do you not like?
@@TheHauntedMansionArchivewhat the fucks his problem!?!?

The mall on Halloween:
I'm so tired of this overlay. Bothers me that they open a Christmas ride in August. Standard Haunted Mansion is perfect for Halloween but it's ruined because it's already decked out for Christmas for Halloween.
Idk what to tell you man.
NBC is a Halloween and Christmas film so it's up for both holidays. It makes less sense to have up a two holiday ride decorations for one holiday and only two months of that holiday season.
If you dislike HMH then you do you but the business reasons for doing what they're doing is valid. If they only had it up for Christmas people would be saying "But the characters in the ride are Halloween holiday characters...they come from Halloween Town".
Also since Disneyland Anaheim is disproportionately visited by locals, it gives them more liberty to do ride overlays. It's why we have it but Florida doesn't. If a local wants to ride regular HM just visit 9 out of the 12 months instead (that's the thinking they're using).
Dude it’s a holiday overlay get over it 😒
@@elinolasco-vj5jm It's my opinion and I'm welcome to it. The overlay sucks.
@@SailorMoonFan92OK boomer…
I know people like this overlay but let me say this my wife was running the local movie theater here where I live and the movie bombed no one liked it but somehow it has a following I personally didn’t care for it but it was fair at best , now that being said I hate that they do this to the haunted mansion it’s my favorite attraction and to me they ruin it with this crap we went to Disney World last November and thank god they didn’t do this in Florida , and sorry but I am just not a fan of nightmare before Christmas
It made 92 million and had a budget of 24 million. Now idk if NBC had made all of that on the initial run or if that's including re-releases but it's definitely made its money back and then some. It's a widely loved movie but none of that really matters.
Its fans love the movie so much that they'll pour money into NBC merch. That's the main reason Disney did the change. Its a fun change, popular movie with a cult fan base, and that fan base buys tons of merchandise. Its an easy sell to bring it back yearly.
BTW they do it in Cali but not in Florida because most of Cali visitors are locals vs most of Florida visitors are vacationers. Out of state types. So they figure, you dislike NBC? Just go on that ride any of the 9 months its regular HM. The 3 months this is up provides a different experience for pass holders and locals who've been on the original a ton. I love both btw so that's why I'm commenting. I can respect the fact you dislike it but there's clear economic reasons Disney does this overlay lol
Such a hideous and cheap overlay. So disappointed in the production design team. None of the gags work, the sound design is discordant, and everything looks like it was done by students. They should reconsider this theme for an already spooky ride in Halloween season.
Boring not scary.
You do realize the ride is for kids
