I watch videos of this ride every year and i noticed they fixed the Jack Skellington animatronic!! Last year i noticed he was very stiff, but they fixed him and made his movements more bouncy and fluid which i love!! Will forever be my favorite ride
Great job and Disneyland does Halloween way better than Disney World! I am glad as all the great pass holders deserve this as they support that park year-round! Thanks again for the coverage of this so soon, cheers!
I’ve always thought the same thing too. Disney world always lacks ride overlays and I think the main reason behind that is because guests who come from all over the world expect the classic versions of the rides to be there. This is one of the reasons why Disney world isn’t my go to park for the holidays.
@@HaydenBro04 Well it’s actually because while Disneyland is a place that’s regularly visited by California locals, Walt Disney World is mostly a once in a lifetime destination for a lot of people, that’s why there’s not a lot of holiday overlays for attractions in Florida, which is a shame because I would honestly have loved to see an east coast version of Haunted Mansion Holiday. Then again I do love how The regular Haunted Mansion looks during Halloween in WDW.
Well not everything WDW does for Halloween is bad, but yes.
@@Sorcerer-SMC there's the Not so scary Halloween party every Tuesday or Friday I think
@@Sorcerer-SMC I went to Disney World all the time as a local. Florida Residents get a deal.
The Mickey's Not So Scary Party is great. I don't have a huge desire to see Disneyland or go to California at this point in my life - been to San Diego in the early 2000s. Good enough. Both are good in their own right, I'm sure. Have a magical day and a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow! Another great and classic Walt ride at Magic Kingdom at WDW Florida. Cheers!
I appreciate that they took the liberty to add more animation to the changing portraits.
I'm so happy that you were able to experience the ride without any stopping
I went on the ride and I got stopped 3 times
@@Big_G2009 I expect to stop when I ride HMH, I've learned to be patient every since my friend started needing an ECV and the older rides aren't the best for those with mobility disabilities.
It stops to let people with disabilities on
Wow! Did not realize it was a COMPLETE makeover of HM. Thanks for taking us along. Robert
the ginger bread house is so cool I have been a nightmare before chrismas fan for a long time
Don’t they have a different gingerbread house every year?
@@knightofarkronia9968they sure do!😍
every video i see of this ride everyone always misses the zero on top of the tree in the dining room with the gingerbread house. i think they changed him recently and made him brighter because of that reason. i saw a live stream today of him and he was glowing so he shouldn't be too hard to miss now 😄 the gingerbread house always steals his spotlight sadly
This version is way better then the original
Blasphemy!
This is one of two Disney attractions I really want to see in person the other being Oogie Boogie Bash. I love The Nightmare Before Christmas and I especially love Oogie Boogie!
"6:51 WOW, those three kids as chop it cake!"-Dusk 🤩☔😮
"Dusk, there you are, where is you house?"-Moonlight B.B. 🤩🌙
“May Jack’s ghostly presence now follow you home, and stay in your heart, where e’er you may roam. For now you know what happens when holidays meet: you might get a trick, or a holiday treat!”😈
I don't think I will ever be able to see this in person so thanks for uploading this!
Thank you!! This is truly the best holiday overlay of all!!
Thanks for posting this. I miss it SO much!
I love this ride especially with the makeover to the Nightmare before Christmas
THEY SHOULD BRING THE HOLIDAY OVERLAY TO ORLANDO!
They were when it came to California but ig they never did
Thank you getting a close up shot of the little Oogie Boogie in the fez and vest popping out of the present!! Lol he is my absolute favorite and love him 🖤
For others, in case they missed it, he's at the 7:43 mark 😍
This truly is the BEST RIDE ON EARTH! Hopefully one day I will physically ride it for now - this is truly the next best thing!
Wonderful as always.
I miss DLR! I haven't been since after covid... the last time I went was 2020 right before the closure... However I work at WDW but still love this haunted mansion better!
I can’t wait for Halloween the thing I like celebrating along with Christmas
AWWE HATTY GOT A LIL DECORATION LOOKIN THING ON HIS HAT! they also did the attic justice by adding pop-ups, love the homage to the og
Skipping the foyer is DEFINITELY not the “full” ride experience. I don’t understand why so many people neglect to film this properly (or even at all) when it sets up the whole story.
Awesome!! Can't wait to ride it and record the whole thing soon with my iPhone in 4k quality (currently use a 12 Pro but I'm planning to upgrade to the upcoming 14 Pro Max soon)!!
GLAD TO SEE IT'S BACK!
How fun! I can't wait to experience this
I wish we had this at Disney World
My favorite time of year when they have it decorated I went around this time for my bday year before last year and going again for my 20 birthday 😊 in September
Scary Christmas, Walt Disney World!
Ah yes the classic has once again returned it’s yearly slumber
Love that new Gingerbread House!
Great Job on this videographer! Wow
This years Ginger Bread House is awesome!!
Glad to see it’s back
IT'S HALLOWEENTIME!
My favorite ride EVER during Halloween Time at Disneyland!!!!! Can’t wait to ride on the week of September 19th!!!!! 🎃
Cant lie. Nmb4xmas is one of the best modern short stories ever
Wow so amazing
2:58 Did you notice that the changing portraits have a new changing effect
That is super cool! I never noticed that they changed it for this year!
what is different?
YAY IT'S BACK AGAIN!
Yay it’s the official start to the holidays🎉
Happy holidays
@@rextony22 happy holidays ❤️
Beautiful
I understand why they don't do this at Disney World, it's just a shame they don't do it there as well.
I'm going this week I'm disappointed the original ride isn't going to be open
Happy Halloween Haunted Mansion Holiday 🎃🎄
I always ride the Holiday Haunted Mansión every year in December.
Es muy triste que no pueda uno ver esto en disney World también… y deberían de hacer también el overlay de its a small World..
It was a stroke of genius to not modify this classic attraction permanently, but instead only for a season. Brilliant!
Which portrait in the stretching room is closest to the door that opens?
Every year's a holiday scare 😨😳😬
“Christmas after the dream”
I love the non-NBC original version.
What’s the song playing outside of the mansion in the beginning? I can’t figure it out
yeah right Robert white Disney did a good chcie to make a nightmare before christmas ride
R.I.P. Paul Reubens
“Lock”
Is this in Disneyland Paris too?
the music in the seance is not syncronized with the voice
I still don’t know why they can do that at magic kingdoms haunted mansion. It’s it to frightening for the floridans?
No they were going to originally do it but the plans were rejected due to Disney World being more a once in a life time resort and Disneyland being more for locals. People visiting Disney World usually only go every few years and they might not get a chance to experience either the original or the overlay. The props prepared for Magic Kingdom ended up going to Tokyos mansion and that’s why they do it.
@@tigerrocks503chase8 i'm from orlando and i think disney world MUST do it. they did some overlays like space mountain holiday, tomorrowland speedway holiday and deep space mountain
@@tigerrocks503chase8 ehhh, Disneyland could certainly be a once in a lifetime visit too. The dates for these overlays aren’t exactly a secret. If people don’t want to see the Halloween/Christmas overlays on this, It’s a Small World, Jungle Cruise, etc. then they can always go at a different time. Frankly, the Small World ride is way more palatable with the jingle overlay on it, imo.
It’s on December 1st
Lalalalala!
OMG I RIDE THAT WEN I WAS STILL YOUNG WEN IT WAS CHRISTMAS
Do they do this for Disney World Or just Disney Land?
just disneyland disneyworlds mansion is the same year long
I guess there is no off season
Well why would they have Start celebrating Halloween and Christmas in September?
it takes like a month to set it up
I’m going on Wednesday this week! I’m excited!! Ps, the finder read house is definitely one of my favorites!!

Why in the world disney world doesn't have this it's amazing go see it !!!
They actually were planning to give the overlay to the Florida mansion too after the first few years of this overlay being a success. Unfortunately the plans were rejected due to Disney World being more a once in a life time resort and Disneyland being more for locals. People visiting Disney World usually only go every few years and they might not get a chance to experience either the original or the overlay. The props prepared for Magic Kingdom ended up going to Tokyos mansion and that’s why they do it.
@@tigerrocks503chase8 I'm sure if they did it people would love it and go out of their way to go when it was open !!!
@@robertbunch7829True but you need to remember is that going to Disney World is pretty expensive for someone not living in Florida and plus if they were visiting during August, the ride would be closed for the makeover therefore meaning guests would not get to ride it until the next time they visit it. Haunted Mansion is loved by many but there are some people who like the regular mansion the way it is and would rather not have it like this.
@@tigerrocks503chase8 i'm from orlando and i think disney world MUST do it. they did some overlays like space mountain holiday, tomorrowland speedway holiday and deep space mountain
@@tigerrocks503chase8 I’m a local at Disneyland, but I can say from personal experience we get a LOT of non locals at Disneyland. Not only from out of staters, but French Canada, Mexico, the UK (a lot of them actually), Australia, and I came across two different German families (all of these Nationalities were this past weekend alone).
What a minute I thought the cast members were no longer allowed to say ladies and gentlemen boys and girls? (I’m not complaining btw)
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Ghouls" are we sure this is from 2022? (grin)
It’s me Michael Tucker 11😊❤.
I’m in Disneyland
Anything new?
New Gingerbread house yearly
Too scary for me 😢
I recommend you look down on the normal one but this one is okay
@@UltimateGummyCat22haunted mansion is not supposed to be scary though...
C'est du n'importe quoi il aurait du faire un vrai truc sur le thème de l'Etrange de Monsieur Jack. Ils ont fusionné ça avec le Phantom Manor. Vivement qu'il refasse tout a Zéro.
Introduced in 2001.
This is better than the movie!
The movie is so incredibly boring. I hate it. But I love the merch, and it’s a massive marketing win, that’s for sure. I’ve got some movie merch myself. I just hate the actual movie, lol.
@mindyschocolate no disrespect but how could you hate a work of art is boring 🤨 But at least you like the characters so that's something I guess... Still, you have no taste in art.
How sad, such a shame.
This looks weird
Oh dear god. Please don't leave it like that.
Don’t worry it’s only an overlay. The ride will return back to normal in early January.
Don’t worry it’s only an overlay. The ride will return back to normal in early January.
They do this every year. It comes down after New Year. Incidentally, this ride becomes even more popular with this overlay. 110 minute wait at 11:30pm when I was there.
This is an annual holiday overlay which is put on the ride from September through December. It won’t stay like this year-round, but unfortunately it spends a third of the year like this every year.
(Just to clarify the “unfortunately”; I don’t mind the overlay myself, but we usually make one annual trip to Disneyland in Fall/Winter and thus up until we made an extra trip in March this year it had been years since I’ve gotten to see the original Haunted Mansion).
Wasn't it just the ugliest, cheapest, tackiest crap ever!?!?!?!?!?
Wish theyd keep it the original all year, this is kinda dumb
Cant stand this personally. It is destroying a classic in my opinion. This being said, in the interest of fairness, if there is a big enough following, then Jack should get his own attraction year around, but leave the Mansion alone. I feel that more could be done, to create a better attraction, by dedicating a separate attraction built specifically for Jack instead of a makeover of a classic.
I don’t understand the appeal of this overlay. It’s really strange and dumb, and lacks all the character of the haunted mansion.
The sensory overload on this ride is crazy
