Love your efforts and that you are taking care before its a problem. But I had to laugh when you said it isnt too rusty. Looks like new to me😂. Perspective I guess.
Hahaha! Yeah it definitely did not NEED it. I was more curious to see how the Fluid Film worked. In the future it might be something I just do before winter🤷♂️
Great video Max! You put a lot of effort into this and it turned out nice!! Definitely don't forget to put Fluid FIlm inside the frame and cross members. A lot of frames rust from the inside out so this is very important. Use a 360 attachment to your sprayer (or spray cans) and you can get this done rather quickly. Do this on a hot day so it flows into the seams, cracks and crevasses. Regarding the driveshaft, the main issue is it slinging off. On mine, I slathered the driveshaft with Woolwax and rubbed it in with gloves to get the whole thing coated. Then I wiped most of it off with a shop towel. The goal isn't to remove all of it but to take off the excess so it doesn't sling off. It leaves a very thin shiny layer which is plenty. For the future coatings, WoolWax brand lanolin resists wash off better on the outside of the frame, so that may be an option for your next application. Stay away from cosmoline products as this point, you're committed to lanolin and that is not a bad thing.
You’ll have to re coat and when you do use wool wax next . Almost the same product but in my experience with Fluid film it came off way too fast . Even after a full winter and summer wool wax is still clinging really good . Now I spray ever 2 years.
VERY nice Sequoia! 🙌 Next time u DO IT, drop the spare tire & paint the rim too, above tire & hardware. Buy some 360° wands/hose to shoot inside frame. Remove some of those rubber plugs & spray & REMOVE fender well to spray very bottom of quarter panels where vehicles rust. It's gonna get dirty quickly but don't hose it. Nicely done otherwise. If u do yearly, give us another video update. Sub'd & gave u a 👍'd.
Only do this to a new car. That fluid film will flake off with new rust forming underneath. Ask me how I know. I've done this to my jeep and caused more problems than it solved.
It seems like fluid film is pretty popular and lots of people talk about applying it every year. I’ve never used it before so I don’t know how well it’ll work but I’ll keep an eye on it!
I have had fluid film on my truck for 6 years (applied annually) and not a spec of rust on it. It surely doesnt wash off the first rain storm as you say.

You can spray the driveshaft just stay away from rubber that is not oil proof like in doors it swells up and stay way from exhaust it will burn off
Great vid, love your attention to detail. Did you end up spraying inside the chassis frames? May be more important than the outside.
Nicely done
Thank you!
I hope you dropped the spare and treated those areas as well as the bodyunderneath.
nice buddy im going to do something like this
How's it working a month later? How's the texture and glossing?

Does overspray on driveway wash off over time?

Definitely recommend it! Pretty easy to do!

No it wont. Your thinking of rubberized undercoating. Fluid film doesnt trap anything underneath it.
you may want to edit out your license plate bud
For what reason?
Dude.. FF is junk. First rainstorm and washed off. CRC marine rust inhibitor is the best.
Check it out if you don't believe me.
