- During my trip to Wales, to visit @LizZorab , there were many memorable moments. We visited a castle (with a moat! I'll tell that story someday), 200 year old gardens, saw Roman ruins, and drove through miles and miles of beautiful Welsh countryside. but by far my favorite were days like the one I'm going to share with you, on Byther Farm, working in the food forest, feeding the ducks, and sharing the table with Liz and Mr. J. They were lovely hosts and ARE lovely friends, and my time there will be treasured for the rest of my life.
Welcome to our Plan Bee! After 20 years of successful careers in the Los Angeles area we moved to rural Missouri and are taking steps to become more self-sustaining on our homestead. I break down all the farmy things into small manageable steps so you can start homesteading wherever you are.
We homestead on 2.5 acres in the Missouri Ozarks, and our garden hardiness zone is 6B.
Our weekly videos break down farming and gardening into small manageable steps so you can make the transition towards self sufficiency and food sustainability without being overwhelmed!
I garden in the Missouri Ozarks and am in hardiness zone 6B.

So cool to see other enjoying USA biscuits and milk gravy! Fabulous 👌 ~Pam ~
I wasn’t sure they really liked them until the camera was off and they asked for seconds. 😂
So cool to see you, Liz, and Erica together. I started watching all three of you around the same time.
I had such a nice visit. Erica came to hang out, not to make a video, so I was glad I got the little footage of her that I did.
I need to get the recipe for the biscuits from you again because I think I need to try making them. Despite the rain, the skies looked so clear and lovely in comparison to the cloudy, grey light we have here now. Thank you for making this video, it's a great reminder of your visit xx
Just remember to CUT IN the butter before adding the milk. 🤦🏼♀️😂😂😂 I seriously told Chris it was your gf self rising flour. When I edited this video and saw what I did I was like 😮🤦🏼♀️😩😂 all within seconds.
I’ll message you the recipe later.
Lovely video. Our likeminded friends and mentors are priceless
So priceless!
So happy you get to see Liz and Erica in Wales💥
Me too! I loved every minute of it.
That was great that you could visit Liz & Mr J & meet Erica & I’m sure you would have returned home with some lovely memories & inspiration.
My husband & I had an 8 week trip from Australia to the UK & Europe all arranged & we were to visit them at the old Byther Farm. But that was in 2020 & we all know what happened then, of course the whole trip was cancelled.
That’s what happened to me! I was supposed to go in May 2020 and had to postpone for last fall.
Charlie’s angels spring to mind 😂
Haha that’s a compliment!
So fun to see you all together and a day in the life of. 💕
Thanks, Sandi!
Lovely video. And so great to see you all together!
…and I had to laugh at the coffee/tee comment - I love my tea 🫖, but I need my coffee ☕️ as well, so I actually travel with ground coffee and a hand filter 😉
I had only carry on luggage and it was stuffed full of camera equipment, or else I might have done that!
