The convertible top is tops on the NC... it takes about 5 seconds to deploy and retract... They could have improved the weep holes and added screens, but almost a perfect whip in so many ways.
Was never a fan of NA or NB , probably down to ignorance at the time just like most people who don’t like MX5s . But I did like NC , so much so that when I saw a dealer demo ND 2.l for sale at a giveaway price I could not resist and wow all the benefits of classic British sports car feel and handling but with modern Japanese reliability and low running costs . Best decision I made , had it for 6 years with no intention of changing it . I’m 69 years old and find climbing into fake SUVs difficult and not worth the effort . I have developed technique @nd muscle memory to get in and out with ease .
Very detailed video on your roller NC. Many personal things you added to the car. I have a 2016 Club soft top with the Brembo / BBS package that I daily in Northern Illinois. I find the modding of these cars becomes an obsession. I like the lightness of this car. Plenty of fun just keeping the engine stock except I added a Hush O Matic active exhaust with a Verus Engineering AOS to keep the intake valves clean.
That's a nice combo. I had a ND2 RF, I didn't do much to it since it doesn't need much. Mainly suspension and exhaust. I really liked the Goodwin Twin Tip exhaust since it has the hemholtz chamber. ruclips.net/video/mUfLxHnPLOM/видео.html
@@MiazdaDude I was leaving for work at 5:00am every morning so I wanted an exhaust that didn't wake the neighbors but when its time to have fun let me know what the engine was doing. Retired now so some road trips will be on my list.
Just bought an nc1. Little tears on the back right and left top roof seam and a squeak behind the driver side which after I did some research, seems to be the convertible top which I will take as it is not a shock issue. It’s a 2006 with 50,500 miles on it. So far we like it.
G-loc pads would dust like a mf, also you probably know this but for NC1 no helper springs to separate pads when caliper is not under compression… so your race pads would squeal when you’re not on brakes. I really like the interior mods you’ve done to it. Might look into the speakers and the Sony unit. Nice video!
I wish there was a "blown motor" marketplace for rollers... I want a donor chassis for an Electric Miata... and don't have the heart to remove a perfectly good motor from a running Miata. I have a rule, "Don't break one thing to fix another"...
Yeah I didn't know what I was getting into. Looking back 2500 would have been the right offer. Even at 3500, I think I'm a little upside down with all the upgrades and fixes.
Love all Miatas! NC was very underrated, still a sexy looking car!

I had a ND1 and ND2 RF. They are great cars.
That's a really nice NC1, this video gives me ideas for how I'm going to modify my 2010 NC2.

I forgot to mention that mine was trashed. I had a Robbins top installed. I think the quality is better than OEM.
Beautiful car mate. I've got the ND RF and absolutely adore it.
Excellent choice
love this car, thanks for the inspiration
Good video and you have done so much. Great project car!
“Just LS Swap it bro” what a tool!

Thanks! I plan on just running the race pads on track day and swap back to the akebonos for every day use.
Like this model but prefer the HT version.....but most that i find are automatic....

You could do a RX-8 instead seems like most of those on Facebook are blown
Do you also have other NCs?
Yes, it's an addiction. 😅
What color is this? It's beautiful! Proud owner of a roller 06 in the process of a 2.5 and a snail implant.
It's Galaxy Gray
What did you do regarding the steering wheel?
What are those wheels??? Love them

Yep, if an LS swap was so easy, he would have done it, then sold it.. ….. 2500.00 would have been a great offer.

@@MiazdaDude ……….don’t feel to bad, I paid 22,900 for my mint NC-2 a year ago. Still, look what you have today..
Why on earth would isopropyl alcohol even be in your garage, much less being used on the dash?
