  • Here it is.. my first ever Break 100 video on the channel on a full 18 hole course! I was a 24.7 handicapper at the time of filming (apologies for saying 24.9, got the number after the decimal mixed up) so pretty much a 25 handicapper. And yes, my handicap is going up. 😅 An honest golf round including every single golf shot I take, watch to find out what my final score was!

    Hope you all enjoyed this video! I've added in hole flyovers in to this video so you will know before I play the hole what it looks like :) Currently using Google Earth to do it but when I can get a drone in the future, then it will be upgraded again then.

      Love the flyovers! I’ve watched a few of your videos now and I have noticed that you hit a bit of a fade (left to right) shot shape with your driver and woods. You tee up in the center of the tee boxes and then hit that shape and that is a big reason why you end up in the right rough pretty often off the tee. Tee your ball up on the RIGHT side of the tee box, even though it seems wrong, if you aim a tad left after teeing up on the right side of the tee box- it opens up the angle and allows you to hit that fade shape and hit the fairway more often:))) this was a fun video to watch and it’ll be great to see you progress over time

    Number 6 second shot, when ball is below your feet it will tend to go right, when ball is above your feet it will tend to go left for right handers. When it’s uphill place ball more in the back of stance and weight a tad on your left foot, when downhill place ball towards back of stance with weight on right foot. (Just my advice) you can also open your stance on certain lies depending on situation

  • @LordSoviet
    @LordSoviet 10 дней назад

    Hey Alia maybe you should try a knock off aim point or if you want you can commit to learning it fully for putting.
    I don't do aimpoint properly, but I do use my feet to help me read any putt over a foot long.
    Stand along your line from ball to pin and feel the weight difference in your feet which tells you the slope. Our eyes can be deceiving

  • @user-zz4pf9qw8l
    @user-zz4pf9qw8l 8 дней назад

    Good job, on number 3 second shot check divots, if your divot is parallel (swing path) and it still goes right probably just an open club face at impact there

    A friend of mine who is a pretty good golfer (plays off about 3), said something really helpful to me recently after I'd duffed a shot from the light rough using my usually reliable 5wood. His advice was "it's called a fairway wood for a reason; same with your 3wood. If you're in the rough, take your medicine, and get out of there and back onto the fairway. You weren't good enough to keep it on the fairway off a clean good lie, why do you think you'll do so with a difficult club out of the rough? Just take an iron or a hybrid, and get it back on the short stuff, with the lowest risk shot you can. If you get the ball forward a little too, then great. But why take a massive risk, in return for maybe taking one club fewer on your next shot?"
    "It's called a fairway wood for a reason". Great advice for high handicappers!

    As a 14 handicap who plays irons only from 2 to 64 degree wedge,my advice would be try everything then stay with what suits. I sold my driver and hybrids,hated them and cost me heavy in scores. Started golf 2 years ago so a steep curve. Averaged 55-60 on 9 at the start and now 38 average. For getting out of rough the hybrid is too hard to use,i use anything from 6 up. Your wedge play is a little rushed,practice with your 56,open it,close it but always put most of your weight on your lead foot. Youre very good,lovely fluid swing,good style and stay strong mentally, youll get there. Always watch golfsidekick youtube channel,hes ultra practical and eccentric but brilliant. Well done and enjoy yourself

    I love your enthusiasm and desire to get better. If I could offer a small bit of advice from what I'm seeing I would recommend bringing the club straight back without any sway instead of around your body. Also, don't come back quite as far. Just swing down and through naturally. Following just that advice will most likely knock 15 strokes off your next round.

    • @aliawghgolf
      @aliawghgolf  Месяц назад

      thank you for the advice, im always open to it! what do you mean by bringing it straight back instead of around my body? apologies if that's a silly question haha

    • @bronsonmateo4848
      @bronsonmateo4848 Месяц назад

      @@aliawghgolf start the backswing by bringing the club back in a straight line. The club will naturally move around your body as you turn your shoulders, but don't force it by bringing your left arm across your chest. Also, make sure you are not swaying to the right in the backswing as that will destroy your downswing. Just turn the hips and shoulders around the right leg. When you push into your left heal to start the downswing that will shift enough weight to the left to reduce the majority of those tops.

Next time we go down we think we might be replacing Dawlish and Wrangaton with Churston and Teignmouth. But this course you were on looks lush, so we could make it a contender! Which is it?
      Loving the languid swings by the way. It all looks very connected when it comes together on the good shots. Keep it up!

    always ball to the front of your stance, never back.
    kudos to you for filming your entire round.
    You have a really nice full swing, I wouldn't touch it rn, other than to add a little speed throughout.
    very handsy with the chipping - you lead with you hands/wrists (flipping them too much) which leaves the club quite open, needing good timing in order to hit a decent shot, hence ur leaving a lot of shots right or thins/chunks.
    short game - that's where the practice is needed, get that better and it'll help your long game too.
    Good luck on your YT journey, very high quality for a first break 100 vid, great job 👍

    u roll the hands n take the club way inside. that leads to your club being in a laid off position at the top. which cause an over the top and a slice like on number 3. U do a good job of compensating for it tho most of the time you are able to reshallow it to get an in to out path but its hard to do that consistently. It also seems that you stand a little too close to the ball and doesn't have enough bend from the hip. Aside from that.. swing looks great. keep up the content!!
