I am old. Saw Otis perform live on stage in DC. Circa 1964. He was utter magic. Ah, youth.
I'm old, too (I feel like I am 25, though). Being old means that we got to see Otis Redding perform in person. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
Are you still dancing in the dark?
We had only one thing We had Rolling Stones and then we had Stax boys No stupid compromise what so ever. God I miss them so much their love for life brother and sister Stefan and Monika. I still dance excellent and people get scared "What about this good behaviour thing? That's exacly what this music was about. To break behaviours
😊
You lucky bastard!
He had more soul in his pinky finger that 99% of people in the world
No one can dislike this masterpiece of live performing.. I'm in my 20s and my generation needs to learn about the epitome of musical perfection which was Otis Redding.
one of the greatest performers and singers of all time..respect!
What an entertainer…RIP died far to young:()
For sure
I was born in 1971 4 years after his death but he is favourith singer...The best for every times
The best we ever had for such a short time. Exellent Performer!!!!
Otis is a legend. No one can sing like him
No one can push it like he did
my favourite soulman Otis the KING of soul died too young. we miss you Otis.
1966, London. My friend Victor Minto introduced to the Music of Otis, What a performer, What a loss when he was so young
Gone but never forgotten.
There will never be another. Otis was simply the best.
That's a fact!
The band ain't doing too bad, either. Check out those horns and that bass.
Talk about energy, he truly had it. Just think, most of all the musicians and dancers are in their late 60's and 70's where did the time go????
This guy was just a genius!!!
A big hit !!What a a band .
otis, you briing me back sooo many wonderful memories of me and my wife. thanks.
This video provides perfect memories of Ottis for me. Just amazing - esp for a timid little lady growing up in rural Australia. Have loved the word "soul" ever since. Thanks Otis for what you gave us, packed into too few years.
I play it non stop in memories of when "disco" was young, before it became boring and just four bars without Soul
Tu nous fais toujours autant vibrer Otis.
Sheer Class by one of the best
Perfection
I remember listening to him as always child.... I'm now 29 years old and play his music in my home!!!! r. I. p you amazing man!!
The best version, and that's staying something considering the artists who have covered it .
The Best ! ... Otis is the songwriter of Respect, he heard Aretha sing it and said "It's all yours sugar, i aint gonna better that"
A great magical performance everytime he was . Hard working on stage.I was around 6 to 7 years old when he died in that plane crash. Sadly missing that kind of entertainment. Continue Rest on. The great Big O
Otis had lots of Soul to have been so young he had a gift he use it to the end but will never be forgotten rip Big O

I'm loving this...I was brought up on his music and no one in my life time has match him x
I remember watching this on RSG and seeing Otis at the then Hammersmith Odeon. I'm 71 but this music will never age.
Wow Otis, he blew our minds even in Oklahoma in the 1960s. We hated it when he died.
Otis was fantastic and what a great band. Wonderful

That band😉! Everything about them is awesome!

How could this true legend die so soon?
Era il 1969 quando in un negozio di via Buenos Aires a Milano ascoltai la pima volta Otis, ancora adesso custodisco gelosamente i suoi LP in vinile
Always so gratifying to hear the soul of my people!
The drummer is a graduate of The Al Jackson, Jr. University Of Keep Hitting That Fucking Snare As Hard As You Can!!
Whoever that guy was is the closest you could get to Jackson himself who was the "Benny Benjamin" of Stax Records.
Outstanding, and let us not forget that Otis is handing The Temptations asses to them on "My Girl", which was no easy feat AND showing us EXACTLY HOW to perform "Respect".
UH?, Reefa, WHO?????
PJ Riverdale The drummers is Elbert “: Woody ” Woodson.
The Giant of LOVE RIP💐💐💐 December 10,1967

I believe this is the band he had when he recorded the "Live at the Whiskey A-go-go" album, which absolutely kills!
🌍❤🎶🎶
Siamo al top! Troppo presto te ne sei andato! Abbiamo sofferto!!
I love living in the Motor City but always preferred the Memphis (Stax) sound and artists to the MoTown vibe.
And who are those stunning dancers? Oh, my!
yes
THE G.O.A.T ❤️
Unreal
You were and still great
👑
❤️❤️❤️
Love.
il était le meilleur
Otis, you taught us a lot in such a short time. The wick was burning at both ends as they say, but that was a damn good burn.
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl)
I've got so much honey the bees envy me
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl)
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Ooh
I don't need no money, fortune, or fame
I've got all the riches baby one man can claim
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl)
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
With my girl
I've even got the month of May
With my girl
Un grande. Rip Otis
