    I live 5 minutes away from this facility and I always passed by and wonder how it looked inside and wished to know more about it and now I know :) when i was a little kid I loved watching California's gold I'm glad they are on RUclips now.

    The old glass 5 gal. containers weighed FORTY pounds empty … add appx another 40 pounds of water and those route drivers were muscling 80 pound containers all day. Must have been good business for chiropractors back in the day.

      The bottles did NOT weigh 40 pounds, they were 11 pounds empty. My father retired from Sparkletts after thirty years and I ran routes for five myself.

    GREAT TOUR!!! Yes God gave us the resource for free. Water is free some of us just don't wanna climb a mountain or spend the money to dig a well for that free water 👍

    Of all the years we watch CA. GOLD, It was apparent, Huell doesn't listen when he is told what to do: he doesn't like being told what to do, or like Don't shack that bottle: and what does he do, he shacks it: he can be very pushy, physically on people. about the only time he listens up, is when he hears watch it, you can injure self, he moves off. He doesn't like to be told what he can't do: when it happens, he gets offensive, / rude and insulting at times:
    The upside of his programs, Generally they were very good, sometimes very educational.
    As for the recipe, well-water, spring water, to claim it's spring or well water, arctician or what ever; by law it only needs to have 10% well water in the production: the rest comes from the tap; as for filtration and what ever else is required
    by law: and or how much money they want to invest into the product is up to the company...........
    I like arrow-head, as for it being from the lake, just 10%, other wise, filtered water into the bottles right from the tap is pretty much what people buy to drink. Some water does have a very distinctive taste and or smell, or both, tap water, cheap plastic water bottles. The only real way to have good tasting water is out of a glass drinking container;
    clean minerally balanced well water taste good; In the past: Two of our homes we had well water, always cold, always
    tasted good.

    10:02 The hand trying to stop what Huell was doing, Second notice, "don't shake it too hard" And at 10:09 what does he do again? 😂 My man Huell couldn't take a hint from the old timers there.

      They are put through a high pressure, high heat sterilizer upside down, the detergent used was a surfactant. Then rinsed through a chlorinated high pressure area. Placed back into the crates to go to the filler room. then down to the cap machine and onto a automatic palletizer. Then picked up with a clamp forklift and placed in a row double stacked. Some pallets were stacked 4 crates high with 24 on a pallet, some 5 high with 30 bottles on a pallet.

      Because they put labor into it, based on your logic gold should be free too, but it's not because miners labor away in the mines to find it. Same thing with water, especially in arid areas like California.
