Thank you for such an honest opinion. She’s been criticized for her technique since the day she debuted, and although she‘d be better off making some adjustments as you said, I appreciate the fact that you valued her uniqueness and how important that is for the market she’s in.
I’d also like you to check out Rosé’s voice in GDragon’s song “Without You” purely for your analysis (although I’d love to hear even more about this since I know you’ll have way more to talk about once you listen to the difference) She recorded that song before she officially debuted so her technique was a lot different.

To me, Rose has what I call a "country music twang" to her voice.
Angela Hale OMG that’s what I’ve been saying, but when I bring it up no one truly understands the message I’m trying to convey. Her stylistic flair really made me gravitate towards her and made me wonder how country is going mainstream as well.

That's her tone. It's either you like it or hate it. Main vocalists in YG are taught the same and they are encouraged to find their own style, and she found her style and she likes it. She's obviously getting better and better but nobody would want to make a note on that cause the main issue for you guys is she's ruining her voice. News flash: it's still crystal clear and smooth af and even better than last yr

I love your constructive criticism. Another reason why her vibrato and the way she sings is weird and hard to you is because that's not the way she regularly sings. She was trained to sing differently(I think she also changed her voice to sound more cutest). I kinda hope she sings in her regular voice cuz it sounds like she would have powerhouse vocals but this style really suits blackpink songs. I also hope you can react to more sohyang in the future.

Jeka she recorded that song 6 years ago. It's natural that her voice changed a little. YG is not forcing her to sing with cute voice. Listen to how she talks, she sounds the same as when she sings.

I think it might be the korean language itself effecting it. When Rose speaks in English she sounds a lot more natural and her tone is deeper, this is reflected in her English sung songs as well. When she speaks korean her voice is a lot more cutesy and fluffy, which reflects in her korean sung vocals as well. Of course you’re gonna sound more natural in your most comfortable language and Rose is still mastering Korean, this could be why she sounds more unnatural when singing in korean.
Rosé sends me chills when she have those vibrato and high notes. Definitely her voice is very unique

this is one of my favorite covers by her.. I don't know much about voice techniques nor I am a coach but I really like the vibrato in her voice!

Rosé is new in the industry but she is doing a great job (that video is just one year after debut )every artist that i know who works on his voice keeps getting better and better. I really like Rosé's voice. To all that criticizes (maybe unintentional) Rosé technique or her stability, do some research. A lot of people confirmed that dancing and singing poorly doesn't mean that the singer doesn't have bad vocal technique. Check out BlackPink's encore stage for Ddu du ddu du, she's doing very well and she's 101% stable.

When she sings you can feel the emotion in her voice. That’s what makes her unique as a fan of her, I know she’s got a wide vocal range. But of course when you are in a group you have position. But when I listen to her sing solo. She makes me cry she can interpret song differently depending on what she felt. She learned the hardest part about singing, putting emotions that not only you can feel but also the audience.
Another great video from you. Rosé has a very unique voice but she still has space to improve. Overall it's very good to listen to her.

A lot of people are telling you to react to Y SI Fuera Ellla, but as a huge Jonghyun stan, I would honestly recommend a different song. Jonghyun has a very distinct, unique voice, and hes a singer songwriter as well, and he wrote 99% of his solo music, and I feel like the best way to get a real feel for his voice is to listen to something he actually composed himself. Y Si Fuera Ella is great, but its a cover of a Spanish song that he rewrote the Korean lyrics for, so his unique mannerisms and little vocalizations he always adds into his own music isn't present. If you really want to get a taste for his style, I'd recommend something like live performances of She Is, Deja Boo, Beautiful Tonight, or Playboy. edit; Takeuchi Miyu recently garnered a lot of attention for being a more skilled musician and vocalist than the J/Kpop idol position she was auditioning for (Produce 48). Especially considering the AKB Jpop artists don't receive any vocal training from their agency so they need to seek it out themselves and they have a reputation for being very nasally, I'm curious of what you'd think of her techniques and other Japanese artists too. Miyu has her own RUclips channel.

I've been TELLING people this forever. She changed her technique, but it's not detrimental to her health. Rose is a good singer because she knows her limits. That's why she never goes up higher. It's hard for her to maintain that voice while going up high because she can really damage herself.

it's interesting you say it's almost a character voice because this isn't her natural voice. there are videos of her vocals prior to entering YG Entertainment. Hani from EXID is another exceptional vocalist who has a vocal style within her group but sounds different singing naturally.

Every singer have their flaws and areas to improve on, that includes rosé. But her voice is so unique and distinctive. She’s able to convey the emotions into her singing so well. I really felt the emotions when she sang this song as someone who never studied vocals/singing/music before. That’s what sets her apart from other kpop vocalists. Overall, she has a great voice and I love listening to her sing.😍
