Thank you for sharing 😊 The last recipe is just like our Danish traditionally "Biksemad". It is potatoes and leftover meat and/or sausages all in squares. We panfry it together. Only using salt and pepper. (We don't really use that many spices in our tradionally meals.) Afterwards we serve it with pickled slices of beets and an panfried egg on top. ☺️ It is so delicious 😊 Ps. You can add all kind of meat and vegastables to it, when you panfry the mix. It is easy to make and you can use all your leftovers. No food waste here. 👍😊
Excellent recipes as always. Walmart's pizza is actually less expensive. I tried some the other night, but I must say it needed more cheese, (for me LOT'S more cheese :P )so I guess it would come out the same (around $4) to add more cheese to it. When I was eating it, it made me think of it as more of a pizza "starter kit" lolol But it did taste very good, and was even easier than making it from scratch. But I have no doubt your home made pizza was excellent !! Thanks for sharing Julia, wonderful, thoughtful recipes as always ! I love your recipes! They are just normal recipes that my family would love also. I make a smoked sausage meal too. I use smoked sausage, potatoes, two drained cans of green beans, onion, and bell peppers. So yummy too.

Julia, these meals look delicious. I am going to add that chicken and rice bake. Looks so simple and delicious. I make sausage and potato sheet pan dinner similar to yours. I add an onion, sometimes a bellpepper if I have it, salt/pepper, smoked paprika which gives it a nice smoky flavor and a dash of oregano to compliment it. It's so easy and delicious. I enjoy lentil stew and chili. It's so cold in southeast Texas today. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend. I forgot to tell you I made the oatmeal blueberry bars and it is so delicious. I warm it and top it with some butter. Thanks for that recipe.

Yes to cutting back to 1/2 lb of meat! Meat is usually the most expensive part of a recipe, and Americans eat way too much meat as it is. Especially when the grocery budget is tight, meat should become a side dish rather than the centerpiece of the meal.
That's a brilliant approach - NEVER have I looked at it that way (wasnt raised with that thought process) I would just do totally meatless meals, but as a side with your Vegi's as the Star - is Brilliant! Julia's Channel is a great forum for ideas and approaches to meals! She's a wonder. 🍴🍕🥘🍽

You can also make super easy pizzas using pita bread or naan. Pita in our area is $1 for a package of 5. It takes longer for my oven to heat up than to put the pizzas together. Bake at 400 or 425 for 5-6 minutes.

If you wish to reduce the cooking time, soak the lentils until they double in size about 10-15 minutes. Add some garlic to the seasonings. Great choices btw
