Music always does that from the beginning of the 20th century at least with blues jazz, etc..Louis Armstrong and Jack Teagarden top pros great friends in the same band in the 20's-30's on through the years. That was just one example of many.
😅 when you are that good, no need for an ego, or arrogance, just pure talent. I think he is fantastic, all these guys performing here, way ahead of their time.
This might be the show I went to. After I think the first or second song Les grabbed a mic and said "I hope you guys don't mind but were just gonna jam for about 3 hours". Maybe the greatest live show I've ever been to.
love how brain blows out the snares, pulls the drum off himself, improvs with no snare, then replaces the drum like nothing happened. all these dudes are badass!!
Anyone notice how Brain's snare malfunctions in some respect like a quarter in, then he just improvises by using his mid tom as the snare. Even takes the snare off its stand mid jam, and the crowd doesn't know the difference. A true pro. They're all pros.
this is definitely one of the best combination/formations out there, insane drummer, insane guitar, insane bass, insane keys. wish they would still play together as much as they used too, even their jams sounded awesome!
@ZMan1209 Brain's a simple history, really. Real name is Bryan Mantia. He started out with bands like M.I.R.V in the early 1990's, then went on to co-found the funk group Praxis (with Buckethead, Boostie Collins, and Bernie Worrell), then went on with Claypool to record several albums with Primus (Brown Album, Rhinoplasty, and Antipop), then worked with Guns N' Roses on Chinese Democracy. He's also been with BT on a few discs of his, too. I love his work, great drummer.
*mr buckethead* holy crap that was frik,in amazing soo bloody funky greatest groove and *mr buckethead* awesome lines from everyone making possibly the greatest jam in the world *mr buckethead*
This is from the 5 Gallons of Diesel DVD if I remember correctly. All of these guys are such excellent improvisers! Buckethead really shines on this one though.
I love this😊❤. Mr. Buckethead, lol. Les Claypool and Buckethead are so damned good together. Just Jamming. Claypool adds fun, and funny stuff. So genuine....Something special always seemed to come from All of them together on stage.
That's Bernie Worrell on keyboards. I think he was born to come up with great musical ideas. Or, to be more specific, he was sent to this planet to bless us with his music Also, I came
Some of the best slap bass I've heard south of Bootsie Collins! And given that Buckethead was only slightly over driven. Some of the best funk this 57yo man's heard in a long time!
such amazing music...these guys blend in so well with each other..i would kill for them to do another tour..they just dont make music like this anymore.
i have the 5 gallons of diesel dvd it has like 20 minutes of this performance its soooooooooooooooooooo sick i watch it at least 3 times a day while hittin my bong, just makes my day..
ahh one of my favourite jams ever:) yeah C2B3s famous for their jamming, and Les Claypool plays Bonaroo most years so hopefully there will be a decent Claypool project coming:D
at 2:29........I think I saw Buckethead bobbing his head a little.........he just might be part human........may have just been a random bucket loving this jam?????!!!!
Love this band man, the album they did is so good. Scott Taylor is one of my fav's from that album, awsome jam. The level of talent on that stage is just beyond imagination! Four god's sitting back an just letting the good stuff flow!
Les Playing a Rickenbacker! This is Great! His sound here is so much brighter and more powerful. I have often wondered how he would sound with one. A few years back, Alex Lifeson from Rush, gave Les a white Rickenbacker 4003. I've seen him (in pictures) playing it. However, I have never seen footage of him playing a Ric. I'd love to see him play it more often.
f o c k i n g A W E S O M E... Les Claypool AND Buckethead at the top of their game! great players all around actually.. drums and keys too for real. fire!
As a 51yo it's great to see generations and races merging and tearing down beariers. And Buckethead smashes the whole idea of ego.
Music always does that from the beginning of the 20th century at least with blues jazz, etc..Louis Armstrong and Jack Teagarden top pros great friends in the same band in the 20's-30's on through the years. That was just one example of many.
I’m gay
😅 when you are that good, no need for an ego, or arrogance, just pure talent. I think he is fantastic, all these guys performing here, way ahead of their time.
first concert i ever saw was C2B3
bruh
hey you are that famous guy
Very based
Oh, hi Rob.
No shit?! That’s awesome! Love your videos man!!!
This might be the show I went to. After I think the first or second song Les grabbed a mic and said "I hope you guys don't mind but were just gonna jam for about 3 hours". Maybe the greatest live show I've ever been to.
Well done
I had to get more bread just to be able to handle this epic jam.
I toast that idea!
Rest in peace Bernie. One of the greatest musicians of our time.
He's dead?!
Yeah man. He passed away last year, sad..
love how brain blows out the snares, pulls the drum off himself, improvs with no snare, then replaces the drum like nothing happened. all these dudes are badass!!
I saw Rory Gallagher change a string on a guitar without stopping the song!!
Time?
I was shocked at how long it took his Drum Tech to come up with a replacement
I love Les's stance when he plays, he bobs around alot. It really defines his personality!
The Knee- up, that is awesome!
This is great, it really shows that Buckethead isn't just some experimental freak, he's funkadelic.
❤
You just gave me chills, I just said the same thing this morning, Buckethead is a Funkadelic 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Buckethead seems to be more entertaining if he is playing in a band as opposed to his solo efforts. This is the best grouping for me!
Anyone notice how Brain's snare malfunctions in some respect like a quarter in, then he just improvises by using his mid tom as the snare. Even takes the snare off its stand mid jam, and the crowd doesn't know the difference. A true pro. They're all pros.
I've been watching this clip now and then for almost a decade, never noticed this! Real madmen!
time?
Like I said before. I'm shocked that it took his Drum Tech so long the get a replacement
this is definitely one of the best combination/formations out there, insane drummer, insane guitar, insane bass, insane keys. wish they would still play together as much as they used too, even their jams sounded awesome!
Bucket has toured with both That 1 Guy and Les Claypool. With any luck they'll form a power trio
Jam is probably the best form of music
God I wish I had Les Claypool's top hat. Or any kind of top hat like that one, its so great.
Never seen Les play a 'Backer before. Rare sight of the week mission: Success
the level of improv talent is mind blowing.

its an authentique jazz masterpiece with a nice dose of distortion and slapbass
1:50 if you dont start violently bobbing your head you can just go to hell. That is the most insane groove ever.

Claypool's slapping makes my intestines snap. Unreal.
This is from the 5 Gallons of Diesel DVD if I remember correctly. All of these guys are such excellent improvisers! Buckethead really shines on this one though.
I think these four guys just won music...

one of my most memorable concert experiences, seeing bernie was a highlight. rip bernie
What a fucking jam! claypool brain buckethead is my favourite trio
One word defines this performance: Genius.
Slapping the Rick... a bold undertaking, Mr. Claypool.
buckethead and les claypool are gods!
there's nothing better than seeing two gods working together!
one of the few guitarists that can do slap and pop on guitar
man that was tasty, no it was delicious, I cannot describe how good that jam was
I love this😊❤. Mr. Buckethead, lol. Les Claypool and Buckethead are so damned good together. Just Jamming. Claypool adds fun, and funny stuff. So genuine....Something special always seemed to come from All of them together on stage.
Get Well Soon Bernie. Our thoughts and Wishes are on/with You!
One word SHEET!!!
That's Bernie Worrell on keyboards. I think he was born to come up with great musical ideas. Or, to be more specific, he was sent to this planet to bless us with his music
Also, I came
I keep coming back to this and the Bonnaroo in which nobody seems to know the names of the songs. Love 😍 this anyway.
Some of the best slap bass I've heard south of Bootsie Collins! And given that Buckethead was only slightly over driven. Some of the best funk this 57yo man's heard in a long time!
Les is quite a bit more skilled than Bootsy
ONE OF THE BEST SESSIONS ON RUclips
The world can't handle these musicians playing together all at once.
1000% funk groove...... Rip Bernie
woah claypool using a rick.. ive never seen that before

Mes oreilles ne restent insensibles à ce talent; merci !❤
i have the 5 gallons of diesel dvd
it has like 20 minutes of this performance
its soooooooooooooooooooo sick
i watch it at least 3 times a day

Funky talented jammin creativity- can't compare to anything- despite a retro vibe at times amongst the insanity!

Awesome band!!! buckethead & claypool,insane!!!
ahh one of my favourite jams ever:)
yeah C2B3s famous for their jamming, and Les Claypool plays Bonaroo most years so hopefully there will be a decent Claypool project coming:D
If anyone's wondering what type of guitar Buckethead is using, it's a customized Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus. He also used it on the GNR tour.
that bass line is unbelievable :)
Straight from the dvd, if u lke this actually buy the dvd so awesome
Kudos to Brian for being able to improvise for so long without his snare while his drum tech changed the drum head on the side of the stage.
@FenderJazz I was lucky enough to find a copy in my local music store last week! :D
This band is just too awesome for words.
This is sick ! The best bunch o'muso's eye ever seen & heard !
Awesome rithym,awesome slapping,awesome hammond...awesome bucket!
at 2:29........I think I saw Buckethead bobbing his head a little.........he just might be part human........may have just been a random bucket loving this jam?????!!!!
robotic cranial oscillations are pre-scheduled in all buckethead CPUs. It's part of the standard lubrication procedures.
His mask fell off once, but then the universe reset itself. He and Claypool had to recreate everything with an Epic Big Bang jam.
The most amazing thing I have ever heard! Can't put into words what I just listened to...
@Dannymusic1999 2 of the players of this band are from Primus. the Guitar player is from Praxis. the keyboard player is named "Funkedelic"
the magical powers of les and mr.buckethead combined slays my soul.
you just gotta love them when they jam! WHOA!
words cannot describe.
Wow . . . that just blew my mind man . .. the bass is just too fucking good
Me and my friend Tony was fucking ripped at this show! Les has the best side projects! First time I got to see Buckethead live!
too bad they dont tour together anymore i would have loved to see one of these shows!
More people need to hear this
Love this band man, the album they did is so good. Scott Taylor is one of my fav's from that album, awsome jam. The level of talent on that stage is just beyond imagination! Four god's sitting back an just letting the good stuff flow!
The dude shreds it, I reckon most would crumble under that situation. Awesome job on his part.
i love the combination of bernie and bucket!
this is probably my favorite video having to do with music of all time
Amazing. Simply amazing.
@topheytophezz they are my favorite together and/or apart they are my musical idols
Les Playing a Rickenbacker! This is Great! His sound here is so much brighter and more powerful. I have often wondered how he would sound with one. Have you heard primus' rush tribute? The entire farewell to kings album, oh my my.
This is really cool. Bernie takes a while to get into it, but then he gets going and it's cool.
This is pure magic!!
one of the craziest jams on the planet
