I am pretty sure it in this case and in many others it is nothing to do with being in 'horrible shape.' I experienced similar after an intense leg workout while playing a fairly high level of hockey (ergo, being in great fucking shape). I experience the same now 15 years later. It's only the brutality of legs. I can abuse any other body part without imminent death.

Using those drop set clusters is an awesome way to push failure at a safer lower weight. Good if you have an injury and can’t lift as heavy, you can do clusters to take you to failure, drop weight, then go again.
It’s crazy to watch this video 8 months after you posted it and you can actually tell that you took his queues and applied them to your workouts not only during this video but all of your videos after you have focused more on doing them the way Dr Mike explained. It’s rare to see someone as influential and as well known as Jonni is to actually listen to another individual in the fitness community and implement it into all of your workouts there on after. I tried one of his leg workouts 4 days ago. It was 3 sets of slow leg curls for 20 reps, 2 sets of 15 SLDL and 3 sets of leg press for 20 reps (slow eccentrics). I pussed out on the bodyweight squat finisher. I just couldn’t do it. My legs are STILL fried. Like…it was rough. I had to dig reeeeal deep

I’ve always been taught not to lock your knees back like that on hack squat first of all your quads are completely at rest when you do and second of all, you’re just at risk for injury. I might be wrong, but that’s what I’ve always been taught
I would never tell Anyone to lock there knees out. I have seen a guy Break there. leg. And even if you don't over time the odds are , you will fuck them up.
