Hi Graham i have always had aria helmets my currant one is the rx7v honda rc30 colours yes they are loud but very comfortable i have over this last year starting to use ear plugs makes a big difference . Yes aria helmets not cheap but they fit me perfect my brother uses shark helmets he swears by them once tried my mates shoei it was not for me main thing is your happy with it thats what counts.
Yes fit and comfort are always key. Glad you have decided to wear ear plugs, I found that once I started riding faired bikes (90s)the wind roar was too distracting, so have worn plugs since then. Can't knock aria obviously great helmets. 👍
I have a white one and I had same issue with. The visor, this was a year ago, and I did order another black helmet same one I just love the way it looks the weigh and isn’t DOT but here in USA in Pennsylvania no helmet law so I’m fine with them
Yea the weight/visibility is a huge plus. Still not very popular here in UK. Didn't realise pennsylvania had returned to no helmet law, thank you for the info. Your comments are much appreciated 👍
@@Grahamvfr yeah been that’s no dot approved I’m ok just the issues with the visors the anti fog peel off is the only thing I’m dealing with I’m on my second replacement in 6 month
@@glhandy7481, yea I had 2 in very short space, my dealer reckons they were trying palm off the older stock, hoping it would be ok. This 3rd one has been fine, fingers crossed, normally I'd ask for my money back, but I just love the helmet.
This follow up video earned the sub! Was really taken with this helmet but very little information provided about it by the main accessory chains. Sadly, I dont think its for me though. Thanks for detailed review!
Cheers thank you.. Its definitely more of an urban helmet, but I've just done a European tour with it, (hot) and the lightweight and venting (draughty) was really useful. I agree not to everyone's tastes.
Ooh yea good question. Well on a couple of long weekend trips we got caught in some very heavy rain. Didn't notice any issue with the helmet, it's anti fog coating is very good , and the large front vent, helps with misting. So my answer would be, it behaves well 👍
Well on my recent euro trip, mid 30 degrees c, I found a couple of times I had it up close to 60mph. Usually in UK, colder temps, I close it at 30 ish. However, with regard to it's capability of running up at 60 mph, yes it's fine just cold for me.
Mate what about the fog? Mine keeps getting foggy and i ve never cleaned it on the inside. I really dont know what to do because there also arent pinlocks for this model.
That's interesting as the shark antifog coating is supposed to correct that?. Firstly I'm mainly a fair weather rider now although we suffered a few days of cool heavy rain on a Scottish trip. My visor was OK, front and top vent fully open. However over the many yrs of riding, Ive never suffers much from misty visors (I must be cold blooded). Depends how helpful the shop you it from as the visor I believe has a 5 Yr warranty... It could be faulty, I've had one replaced as the coating was peeling off (known issue).
@@Grahamvfr yes that happened to me too, visor coating cracked right where you showed in vid and they replaced the whole helmet with brand new. But i cant run all the time there for rrplacements i mean come on i have better things to do.
My head measurement is. just over 56cm. Not withstanding draughts (although a godsend on our hot euro trip) and noise .. Definitely the most comfortable helmet I've had for a long time. 😊
@@dalmmmm No I tried a small first, which was just OK open, but too tight as it closed. You might be OK,🤔 as I believe M is 56 to 57. I never ever listen to advice if "it's tight at first but it will give a bit".... For me it's got to be comfy /fit from the start.
