Thanks for the review! I'm a first-time homebuyer and aspiring newbie DIYer and your review helped reassure me that this drill/driver would cover most typical drilling/fastening tasks. All the different information out there about impact this, hammer drill that, had my head spinning today researching this stuff! I especially like that this kit comes with 2x 2 Ah batteries where most other starter kits only provide a single battery. Still available at Amazon at a great price too! I also really appreciate your soft-spoken style.
Tysm for the confirmation bias, got the same thing and was wondering how useful it was gonna be in more specialized projects than just putting a screw into the wall
I love the Milwaukee 12v line. These head attachments are awesome. This set plus an impact at a discounted price would be perfect for entering into a 12v line. My only issue is that Bosch doesn't make an electric ratchet or a Dremel in their 12v line
I got one a year or so ago, I too think it is great, my one complaint is the bag they provide is worthless to keep the parts organized, its simply toss everything in the bag.
HI Brett, Thanks for the review and the link. I can't seem to find this information but can you see on the charger if it is 110v-240v please as I can't get this tool in Australia as yet
@@BrettsWoodshop I got robbed of 90% of my tool collection 3 years ago. Working with a minimal rig made me not love the game. A year ago I started a tool buying rampage that is still taking place. The biggest sting of it was that I just finished replacing 17 slim packs with new Samsung cells. 1.7 upgraded to 3Amps. They were so nice!
Love mine! The only thing I don't like is that the magnet in the bit holder attachment is pretty non-existent. It holds the bit, but can't keep a screw. Anyone else with this issue?
@@cyberfemme319 There's also a low profile attachment that locks in the hex bits that comes in the kit. But I generally use the drill chuck for drill bits regardless.
I’ve own this Bosch for 3yrs, use it for door and cabinet removal or install. Also own a dewalt 12v screw/drill and newest M12 hammer drill/clutch with the impact driver. The M12 has the balls but not that Swiss knife all in one.
@@DSquire10In the US the new model is called BOSCH GSR12V-300FCB22. As far as I can tell it is identical in every way to the 140 except utilizing a brushless motor. And a belt clip! 😊
I just released plans on my new website! The plans are for the Project shown in this video ruclips.net/video/UrOoHZH3lL8/видео.html

What’s a screwdriver?

You don’t need the hammer function unless you’re drilling into concrete or brick.
This is easily the best driver I have ever purchased. It has been especially useful working on appliances for me. Thanks for the video!
Great to hear!
I just bought the same kit for 48% off - paid $113.41 via your affiliate link. Thanks for the video and the heads up.
Awesome, thank you! Hope you enjoy it!
This is a super refreshing review. Thanks.

@@BrettsWoodshop thank you!
I've been using this tool a lot on cabinet installs. Works great when doing any of the smaller spice rack pullout cabinets.
That’s awesome!
Thanks for the review... the brushless model is on sale right now.
You're very welcome! And thanks for the heads up. 😀

Right on
They make a 12v rotary tool, which is the proper name for a Dremel.
And fun fact, Bosch own the company Dremel
12v dremel already uses bosch's 12v platform and batteries will work. its owned by Bosch anyway
@@reecehardiman7662 which is why 12V Bosch batteries will always fit a Dremel cordless tool.
Great deal! and a great tool review. Thanks!
I know! They’re GIVING these things away!
I just got mine. It came with a detachable belt clip that will also hold 2 bits. 😄
Cool! Have fun with it!
That's the latest model with the belt clip and bit holder.

I can’t disagree about the bag. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff. I wonder if this model can drill through concrete. Did you try? If Yes, I might buy it.
This model doesn’t have a hammer setting. I would recommend a hammer drill for drilling into concrete. Like maybe this one amzn.to/3HfSlZr
HI Brett,
Thanks for the review and the link.
I can't seem to find this information but can you see on the charger if it is 110v-240v please as I can't get this tool in Australia as yet
It’s a class 2 battery charger with Input of 120V-60Hz-32W and an output of 7.2-12V = 2A. Hope that helps!
Amazon Japan sale this item.
Just got this at my local Lowe’s in the clearance section, half ass hidden, for $79.99!! Also a 6.0 battery for $35!
Wow! Great find!
I have 2 sets, because I hate changing bits. I only bring 2 offsets, a right angle and a regular chuck with me. It all fits in one bag.
Nice!

I use a magnetic bit holder like this one amzn.to/40D32yE for easy swapping.
Can you use hex shank bits in the 1/4 inch collet directly, or is the runout too bad?
That totally works.! That’s primarily how I use it, with a quick change magnetic extension bit holder. That’s what makes it so compact.
@@BrettsWoodshop Sorry, I should have specified hex shank *drill* bits. :P
I'm curious if the wobble would make it impractical for drilling.
@@cyberfemme319 There's also a low profile attachment that locks in the hex bits that comes in the kit. But I generally use the drill chuck for drill bits regardless.
I like these but wish impact drivers would put a screw hole at the top - this is the best area for magnetic bit holder attachments rather than sides
Thanks
Thank for the heads up on Bosh tool Kit - save $$

I live in America and was dissapointed when I saw that they stoped selling Bosch 12v in America. you gotta get them online now which is annoying.
Hey I clicked the link and the tool was no longer discounted it’s was at $219. I found it on Amazon for $129. Hope this will help you to fix the link!
Nice work! Thanks for letting me know!
fab, thank you!
No worries!
I'd be curious to see what the brushed version is like against the brushless version?
Me too
Does it hammer?
Nope. Not that kind of drill.
GFA 12-H FlexiClick should fit
Thanks @keinermehrfrei01 . I didn't know about that attachment!
@@BrettsWoodshop it is recommended you use the stronger brushless driver for the drillhammer attachment. For small holes up to 10mm it's perfect.
I find the system of changing head horrible. Every time I want to change the drill bit I unlock the head by chance.
Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Maybe hex-shank bits would work better for you. No twist necessary. Like these amzn.to/3HHOQeD
