Hey Rick...the camera loves Valentina !!! The simplicity of your day to day in port following her (& you) around & interacting with the locals makes for great content. Those of us that love to travel...& have a sailboat to journey with, yern to do just what this episode is all about. Well done Captain !!! As the old saying goes..."When simplicity & beauty walk hand in hand...you have perfection".
Great video Rick and Valentina! I like to see a variety of styles and this one of just wandering through the town was a nice change of pace that showed a bit more of local life instead of just focusing on all the cool cruiser hang out spots. Definitely keep producing this type of video format and rotate it in with the other styles you have produced. The San Blas Islands are amazing. I was glad to see several episode of those beautiful islands. I visited San Blas back in 1986 after I graduated college and it was a trip I will never forget. So glad to see it is still just as beautiful. Fair winds Rick & Valentina.
Well done Capt. Rick!! I love the simple "this is how real people live" feel of this video. Just as your "just sailing" videos make us feel at home on the sea, this makes us feel at home in remote villages, while reminding us we really are all the same. Wonderful work!
Captain Rick, you produce the best sailing videos bar none. I like your detailed narration, and you visit marvelous places. Plus you seem to be a genuinely nice person.
Love the discover tours! Keep up the good work and Bravo to Valentina in being so open to this type of adventure. Kinda cool when someone just fits in everywhere !
Chris Emerson I am actually a big fan of jacques mayol, never heard of Valentina Thomas before now. I was talking about this Valentina on this channel, being able to speak 5 languages fluently is rather impressive. Marga, who was on a couple episodes of SV Adventurer is also quite beautiful and a wiz working on sailboats, she grew up working for her father who refits boats in all aspects. I was just saying that it would be a hard choice between them. Very different ladies.
Great format, keep them coming. Good to finally see the real life footage of what it is like to cruise and explore new places and interacting with the locals.
YES more of these would be great! I really enjoyed you guys tagging me along with you! Love to see the culture of these little villages. Thanks for another great video Capt Rick!!
Very important to get a better understanding of the world and day to day lives many people live, keep up the good work. Lived in PR and traveled the Caribbean, great experience.
Thanks for the tour. That is the more interesting part of following your journey. I will never get to see the places you visit. Captain Rick, your going to have to pick up the pace to keep up. Cheers
Loved it. SV Delos just uploaded an hour and fifteen minutes of just the boat sailing along on the ocean. It's good stuff and we can fast forward or not watch if we choose. I'd rather have the option to see this side of what you experience. Thank you, Captain Rick.
The original reason I got hooked on your channel is from the episodes where you reach land and explore. I have been watching for 2 years now, played back older episodes, and my favorite is when you hit the bars/restaurants in a given shore town. This format of this vid was perfect for me! It is the next best thing to being there.
Great episode. It's always interesting to see real interactions with the locals. You'll always be tourists, and walking around with a camera can't help, but it's fascinating to see how willing some are to engage strangers once you make a human connection. Valentina's fluency in languages and confidence as an experienced traveler really showed.
I'm an interested party too of what goes on away from the cafe/restaurants and bars too . Great to see a little of the real islanders lives . Keep them coming . Realism is good
Great video Rick.Love it when you get out and about and show us the local people, places and things to see and do there. Looks like the yeahs have it on this one. Congratulations and thank you.
One of the better insightful episodes that I've witnessed, enjoyed it immensely as it was an eyes wide open experience! Loved how you covered it all - well done!🤙🏻
Valentina is definitely one in a million.( I hope I spelled her name correctly) I like the format. Nice to change things up. Have a good week. Keep safe. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, enjoyed seeing the local areas and how the local population live as it adds a lot to understanding the area you are visiting. Just loved this video and thanks for sharing it with us.
Captivating video! Your new first mate is intriguing, your realism is better then anything ever on National Geographic, the issues you bring to attention are heart felt, and giving a view to a piece in the world that most would never see. Some of the best 27 minutes you'll ever spend! Thank You
Its definately a different approach but i liked it. All sides of the adventure need to be shared, it gives more of a prospective of sailing life. Thanks Capt. Rick, great video
love the aimless wandering around video's...went to SV Delos ep 3 yesterday.....watched Brian n Brady and Erin follow a Mantaray around w/ the Gopro for 20 min.....OK with it! Hey man, thank you for all you do....as Creators! all of ya!
Great job Cap. You have a large audience and I like that you are using your platform to bring awareness to important issues affecting the ocean and the people that live in waterfront communities. Valentina is a fantastic addition (but we still love El Cino too). Keep up the great work. The best sailing channel on RUclips!
Loved this episode. Totally recommend you do more, it gives a perspective of the places you are sailing to and makes it interesting because I guess traveling the world on a sail boat allows you to sea way more than just atolls cristal clear water and perfect sandy beaches. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, yes and yes. Thank you. It was fun seeing what you find interesting instead of trying to show us what you have to work to find for us, It was refreshing. Your content is always worth waiting for the "Bell" Take a break now and then and show us what you see then take us along and show us what you know is the kind of content a channel needs. One needs this kind too. Thanks again.
Enjoyed the tour, always interested in seeing the way people live and enjoy life in different areas. This is one of the reasons I at least follow you and others on your journeys. Thank you for sharing Brian
Think it's great you show us how different peoples live all over. You're sharing probably gives most of us a chance to see things we would never, ever see, or even imagine!! It's amazing how Valentina can speak to the local residents in their native tongue and switch to another language to converse with someone else without missing a beat!!!!
I actually like the discovery videos. In fact, it's the reason why I started following because of the drone footage of the islands and beaches. Thanks!
I thought that big contraption was an antennae to contact the mother ship...LOL! I like the wandering around video. It's what I would do if I was there. Regards, Solomon
Hi Rick, I've really enjoyed the footage. It's a great experience to stroll around with you both, exploring the country. Great drone footage. I like your videos. Thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice. And you took the walk into the little village off the beaten path. Most people would never do that. Thumbs up Kudos for the tour. OH I have seen some fishing videos that had boats with those strange things sticking off the mast with the little things that looked like a tiny boat. They put nets on those things and let them fly out would from the boat to catch fish or some other type of bottom feeding things. That is what it looked like as you pasted around that boat. Eleanore from New York City, She would be a peace of my home town, Long Island NY. That was a fun little exploration. Thanks.
Excellent! Wonderful to have an avenue into a different culture ...really enjoyed the stroll through the community. Still wondering what that rigging was on the one boat. Also .....how the fish that was purchased was prepared 🐟 🍴 Valentina, being multilingual and of appropriate temperament is so valuable to this voyage ⛵ I would love to see more episodes like this one.....enjoy the longer length 👍 Stay safe ⚓
Yes, Valentina is a special gal. I also like the change of pace, just not every time. You can tell a better story when you drill down to the important points.
Hey Rick...the camera loves Valentina !!! The simplicity of your day to day in port following her (& you) around & interacting with the locals makes for great content. Those of us that love to travel...& have a sailboat to journey with, yern to do just what this episode is all about. Well done Captain !!! Enjoyed the format and especially enjoyed listening to Valentina. She is a very interesting person, whom I would love to hear more from. Cheers.
Hi Capt! Nice to see you roaming around on a discovery tour. I often wonder what lies beyond the bars and restaurants. Keep'em coming
I really enjoyed this video. Felt like I was walking beside you. Always like hanging out with the capt.
I liked the longer version, interesting to see another country, one of the reason this landlubber watches!!
Great video Rick and Valentina! I like to see a variety of styles and this one of just wandering through the town was a nice change of pace that showed a bit more of local life instead of just focusing on all the cool cruiser hang out spots. So glad to see it is still just as beautiful. Fair winds Rick & Valentina.
Great to see you going into town and meet the locals and see local customs. This is part of sailing lifestyle. Absolutely more like this video.
Always LUV the extended version. Thank you for taking us on the walk through town. It's great to see other places through your cameras.
Valentina is a natural on camera and her linguistic skills are admirable. Good video of local life. Thanks
Love the discover tours! Keep up the good work and Bravo to Valentina in being so open to this type of adventure. Kinda cool when someone just fits in everywhere !
Valentina is fascinating, so attractive and intelligent. What a treat for you all aboard to have someone so capable and worldly traveling with you.
I'm with you, awesome woman.
I’m torn between this lady or Marga from one of the episodes of Adventurer. Simply amazing women.
Michael Randold is she the free diver or is Valentina the free diver? They look a lot alike. Both are very special lady’s.
Chris Emerson I am actually a big fan of jacques mayol, never heard of Valentina Thomas before now. I would LOVE to see more of these walk along videos. I feel much more like a participant than an observer.
I vote explore. It was so nice to watch and see it like this. Thanks Capt.

Hey Capt. Rick. I like it when you do your walk-abouts. The perspective and the interest in what’s really there is great. Don’t stop.
Great Video Rick, it's nice to get a feel for the many places you visit. This is especially true now that you are going to new places for you as well.
I love the strolling along so see the local culture. Thanks for taking me along

Great episode. It's always interesting to see real interactions with the locals. The exploration of the edge of town was interesting. And Valentina, well, obviously a major asset.

Enjoyed that, a landlubbers view of a seafarers anchorage. Thankyou both. Those chickens were going to vote with their feet- I'm outa here! Good clip.
Yes, Valentina is a special gal. I also like the change of pace, just not every time. You can tell a better story when you drill down to the important points.
I like the variety, not the same thing after another. Very interesting. Thanks. Fair Winds.
I think once in a while it’s great to see how the local villages get along. So mix them into your videos.
More of this please
Loved the video. More like this would nicely compliment your other formats. Especially enjoyed walking through this little village.
It was good episode .. I liked it..!! Thank you Captain Rick and Valentina... I guess Village's sewage infrastructure is powered by hight tide.. :)
The “wandering” in your post was excellent. Yes, I would like to see more of the “flavor” of the places you stop at. 😎👍🍺🌈
