So glad I’ve found you. I have BVH Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction. I fall over very easily and have fractured many bones. The condition is neurological and for me congenital, not realising until in my sixties, so it causes anxiety and vestibular attacks, life limiting and mostly housebound. Just bought a second wheelchair which was a tough decision but I was unstable using trekking poles. I can now go out but limited. I can walk and look fine. Often taking two days to recover from any exertion. Very few clinicians know of this condition and it frustrates me dreadfully. I’ve had neurophysio and tried The Balance Belt, both helped slightly but not enough to stop me falling. My future is bleak.
