Hiking In The Swiss Alps/ Männlichen Royal Walk/ Bachalpsee/ Making Cheese in the Swiss Alps

This week is part 3 of our trip to the beautiful village of Grindelwald, Switzerland.
We spent the week exploring the Jungfrau Region with plenty of hikes, activities, and sampling all the delicious authentic Swiss cuisine.
Grindelwald is a very special place to Tim. He lived and worked in Switzerland over 25 years ago and had the opportunity to stay at the amazing Hotel Alte Post.
This family owned gem is in a fantastic, storybook location, and provides easy access to all outdoor activities and hiking trails.
Deeply rooted in history, the Restaurant Alte Post has kept with Swiss tradition offering authentic, classic dishes from the past.
In this Vlog we visit Tony and Rosemary’s farm and get an up close look at making Swiss Alp cheese.
Additionally, we’ve added the last of our series of hikes including Bachalpsee on First above Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. The lake is located at an elevation of 2,265 m, is split by a natural dam, the smaller part of the lake being 6 m lower.
Another gem of a hike was the Männlichen Royal Walk. This short walk to a panorama viewpoint across the Jungfrau Region is a great choice if you want to get the best views but are short on time and/or energy. The views are even more spectacular from the peak, a small effort for a big reward.
It also happened to be Tanya’s birthday and our friend Annagret graciously invited us for champagne at Bach Lager with its spectacular viewpoint only locals get to enjoy.
