Was at this show and it was on fire across-the-board! I've seen Los Lobos at least 30 times or so over 35 years and they were the best they'd sounded in years. TTB was great as well. Seminal night. Its a LL song, nobody's trying to recreate shit, let alone the mighty Allman Bros. The Wolves with Derek Trucks and his horn section on Mas y Mas? GTFOH. It was mind blowing!
Okay track, I'm not a fan of recreating the Allman-deal that Derek brings to the table. He is quite able, tho. Was spoiled by seeing them in the early days. I was at Atlanta Pop II, 1970 -thursday thru monday morning. I was 19 years old and ready to see some acts I'd wanted to see for years or yesterday. Poco, Spirit, Procol Harum, Hendrix and band, Johnny Winter And-and a long along list, The Allman Brothers were floating during that time, popular, feeling that they were so powerful, hovering over us in their presence watching them groove on stage, they had a movement. This doesn't match that. Not tryin' to seem nasty. Tedeschi Trucks Band works if it just comes up on the radio. I liked "What's Going On" a whole lot more.
Was Canned Heat at Atlanta Pop II, did you see them, how were they? Thanks. -- I always liked their records better. Great production for a hippie blues band.
Soundtrack to life baby.

Right On my brother. It was a great night of live music.
Derek Trucks next level
Incredible might be a word to describe this...
One of my all time favorite Los Lobos songs!! They didn’t play this at the Berkeley Greek Theater show (wish they had). Thanks for posting this!

I'll call bullshat on that, friend. This is 2022 and that was 1970. And I'm a boomer just like you :). I love it all!
