Delighted to find a British planner in My feed. Am still new to the world of planning so I had no idea of the pre-order Malaka. I buy them in October usually. I used Cousin and Kukoyo so far and I had my eyes set in the Aura Estelle as this is how my brain need the whole layout. Then I discovered I missed the summer pre-order and still waiting for the winter notification. As she is in Canada, I couldn’t risk receiving my planner in January. I start planning in November for the following year for goals etc. So in the end, I ordered the Papertess B6. I also can’t believe the price they charge for a planner….
7:45 “…what the f**k do I do now…”😂😂 Becky, I love watching your videos for both for the reality checks and the reminder that “…our planners are here to serve us and not the other way around…”❣️
I completely agree. Preorders this far close from a consumer’s standpoint is ridiculous. I get why shops do it, it’s costly to order bulk and it may not sell as much so they’re stuck with them if it doesn’t sell out. But to try to buy a planner, especially if you’re known to swap out or switch sizes often, isn’t helping. It causes more stress and anxiety and leaves a lot of people feeling overwhelmed. But as I always say, everyone can make their own decisions.
I’m sticking with my Sterling Ink B6. I thought about a weeks but I decided this year was my last year buying one. I appreciate Sterling Ink having so many options and I realized an early preorder is the only way for them to accommodate everyone and not go bankrupt. I’m sure there will be a second preorder if the overstock is brought out and the demand is still there. They’ve been listening to us so far so I’m sure they would consider it if need be.
Hi. I do understand your point and it is quite valid. BUT… I don‘t understand why people have to have so many choices in the first place. I am „calendering & planning & reflecting“ for 13 years now, so I do have a bit of experience I would say. And I never ever had more than two calenderbooks a year (the second one was for work releated stuff only and got quite messy, more like a notebook, containing long taskslists and braindump pages). Most of the time I only had ONE book a year. That‘s it. I made the decision early on to stick with one book a year. That‘s an adventure by itself. Do I get bored sometimes? Yes. Do I wish to change the format from time to time? Yes. Am I fascinated by other planners? Yes. Do I switch? No. Just no. I always try to make my calender book work - change things within. And I always manage to, it’s a creative endeavour. And bottomline: I am very happy with it. I feel no stress. Maybe the stress comes from too many choices?
I love your videos and how REAL you are. Thank you for this! I have started to feel the stress and pressure of planning for 2024 and this is so helpful. You are such a joy!
I have been using the Paper Tess Designs Weekly as my health planner this year and it has been excellent, it is the only planner that has not changed purpose this year. The binding is great too, has held up without any issues. I have been putting together a similar thing in my notes app, had not thought about printing it out, what a great idea, will be doing that this evening. Really enjoyed this vid, it‘s a conversation that no one in my life would understand, so it‘s so good to hear your thoughts.
Gotta say Becky - I've just been LOVING your videos lately! So inspired and ...I don't know the right word - sort of energetic or focused? I can't put into words but it's like you've found this planner place that's so lovely to see. You are enjoying them and I can hear your smiles when you share and the work you are doing to balance your need for function and love for decor....which is such a hard balance for those of us that love a sticker and some pretty in our planners. Just been really enjoying all you've been doing and had to tell you :)
Hi Becky! I do not expect perfection in your planner videos! That's why I love watching you. You are talking yourself through the process and that helps me to work through my process. I used the happy planner for many years and was very content. I now use the hobo weeks and day free. I'm putting blinders on for any new planners this year. What I have is working. Period. Thank you so much for the hard work you do❤
I NEEDED to watch this because I am at a loss on how to choose. I don't have the financial means to buy planners willy nilly and abandon them after a few months. So this is extremely helpful. I never thought to print out the layouts and annotate how I plan to use them. This is simply brilliant!
I love that more people are making planner mockups (I'm seeing it more now, at least, compared to a decade ago)! It's been my go-to method for years and years, it's so useful. I always fill them in fully, ideally with an actual week - I look back in my planner and pick whichever week was has the most writing and transfer the info to my test pages. That way I'll see if it all really fits comfortably, maybe figure out how to move stuff around to make more sense... Saves a ton of money to not buy a year's worth of planner only to figure out a few weeks in that it doesn't suit my needs!
Your videos have gotten better and better! You’re my planning guru now! I follow loads of planner girls, but your insight is awesome because you’ve done the work! 🎉
I don’t think I can give up my cousin now that I have used it for 6 months. I do want a mega weeks for my health planner instead of the reg weeks. Thanks Becky!
I have bought so many planners and always there was something missing. After watching your videos I bought an A5 stalogy and I'm hooked, love everything about the notebook, got 2 365 and made a custom planner for myself. Next year I'll go the same. Stalogy is the best!
Sterling Ink has a massive range of options this year and could probably easily bankrupt her business if she tried to second-guess what people were going to want to buy and guessed wrong, ending up with a load of dated stock folks didn’t want. For a small business like that it’s either pre-orders or the blink-and-you-miss-it launches we saw last year with the B6 Common Planner with lots of very disappointed customers who couldn’t get a planner at all. At least this way everyone definitely gets what they think they want. And if they change their mind in the meantime there will be a big FS/Trade market so hopefully everyone ends up with something that works for them. What I don’t really understand is those people who pre-ordered a bunch of Sterling Ink planners as soon as pre-orders opened and said they didn’t know what they wanted so they ordered them all. It’s a 2-week pre-order window. There’s time to mock up a few options and have a good think. Honestly, FOMO is an ‘us’ problem, not a ‘them’ problem.
I definitely agree! Catherine from Sterling Ink has been super kind in making so many different types. Though I do agree with Becky that it was hard to think about 2024 in the middle of 2023 😂 but i took about 1.5 weeks to make my decision. I even put planners in my cart and then left it there for one day. I ended up with just the B6 size. I realized that i REALLY need just one place for everything because myADHD will not allow me to remember all the planners 😅
@@justcallmeivonne oh 100%! I don’t even know what I’m going to be doing for work in 2024 and I like to keep work and personal separate but I figure I can just bullet journal or use a more easily-available planner for work if necessary. My personal planner will be a B6 and I’m not even entertaining any other options for that.
@@vainhedgepig6302 Work planners are hard! I just did a chatty video about mine. I'll be doing a few more in the coming month or two as I work thru my system.
@@justcallmeivonne Yes it's hard to think about next year in summer 2024. but it's also the time that so many in the community do their reassessment and change planners so they are already thinking about changes and what works so the timing kinda works on that front.
I definitely agree! Sterling ink preorder is so early because it’s gonna take a while for production. She’s not automatically ordering 500 units each season. She’s also a small business trying to minimize overstock. This will also give her a chance for a second preorder if she sells out of overstock and sees there’s still a demand. I’m sure she’s considered that about 50% into the year you either know the size/system is working or already envisioning adjustments.
What an amazing job you've done with this video! Thank you for taking the time to do all this work for everyone. I dunno, I'm not tempted with anything new this year yet. It's weird. I'm sticking with the Trifecta as far as I know. (I call the Cousin, Weeks, and Stalogy the Trifecta)
That’s hysterical what you said about the passport because I switched to a passport in June as a bujo planner and absolutely LOVE it! But everyone has a different size and system that works for them.
I just 'discovered' you and really like this video. I have been using a Hobonichi line-up for several years. And every year I look at others, buying some and then not using them, but find myself returning to my Hobonichi planners. But I love the idea of making a list of everything I need to put into a planner and see exactly what all I need.
12:00 the W222 A6 is what I’m using for social media now (was in B6 previously this year) and I’m just loving the A6. Talked about it briefly on a W222 video recently and have another more detailed flip coming too. I think you are going to love it 💕
You said you are having trouble with your functional planner…. A small suggestion would be to set it up ahead of time! Maybe a month ahead… that way your not behind in the week if you set it up later than you thought you were going to…
That’s a good idea. I actually pre decorate my monthlies for the whole year Bc then I can put in plans and make them match and look nice and still be functional. And I usually setup two weeks at a time in my weekly section. So Ive always got a week or two ready to go so I can add to as needed but also incase I get too busy so it’s ready. Presetting them up helps me a lot.
Thank you! So many great ideas!! I've been stumbling through my planning for about a year now. I need to be careful what I spend money on, so I haven't bought the brands you mentioned. But I love how u plan and love how u break things down. I will be trying a few to improve my planning.
This is such a helpful video! So refreshingly honest and practical. I appreciate all the tips and strategies for making our systems work for us, not working for our systems. Thank you!
I write a list of the planners too. I have 4 planners to choose from for my EDC arm 4 for my Catchall. I look at videos to figure out which will work for me. I don’t pre order because I feel I might change my mind.
Thanks for this it is really informative and you are right FOMO is real it is also scary to know the choices you have are endless all you need is to feed your creativity and your functional. And like you say its about what works for your life.
😂 I’m laughing at the passport comments. I’ve been a lover of passport size since 2017. I adore it. It’s perfect for my bag. I have a few of the chunky ones but they aren’t ideal for planning imho. But inserts and the half year from SI are a good size. I do use mine for brain dump and also a sort of common place on the go. So if I remember something at a stop light or am at dinner and find a quote I like. Or my kiddo says something hysterical at lunch one day. Passport is so small it fits in all my small bags and I have a VDS cover that fits a half year notebook. And I keep one on my desk for random non work thoughts and doodles and such. My desk one is like having sticky notes for my brain but contained in a book instead of crap all over my desk 😝
That’s actually a good idea having a desk one I think that’s what I need to use one for as I’m constantly writing on sticky notes and loosing it or knowing I have written something down but not sure where. Thanks so much x
@@Whoopsididitagainco my husband used to hate all the post it notes I’d use. When I got into the planner community and started my hauls of notebooks he said he didn’t mind bc all my mess was in one book and not all over the place on post it notes and backs of mail 😝 Of course don’t need a passport “planner” for this... I use just one notebooks. I have the chunky and half year ones. For the desk the chunky one is perfect. On the go the half year bc otherwise it’s hard to write in standing or driving sometimes.
Thank you so much for making this video! When I first saw the horizontal Weeks Catherine is offering for next year, I was like “OMG, a Weeks with grid everywhere and no quotes?! I’ve always wanted this!” Then I thought again and had to realize there was just no space for it in the lineup I envision for 2024. Maybe at some later point in 2024 (August/September, aka the next academic year), but not from the beginning on. (That said, I do hope she’s going to release this design as an undated planner at some point!) Also, if I ended up really wanting to use this layout for 2024 and couldn’t snatch it up from someone else whose planner lineup has changed, I could just draw it myself, BuJo style. That’s how I talked myself out of preordering anything from Sterling Ink. PaperTess Designs will definitely be in my lineup for 2024, also because it’s the only shop in Germany (where I’m from) offering TRP notebooks and planners and I SO want to support Theresia! My current thought is to keep using the Weekly Notebook as a hobby planner/microjournal for 2024 and add one of the vertical options as a work planner. Not sure yet wheher it will be the TN insert, the undated Yearly Planner or the dated Yearly Planner Day-Free, but I won’t need to make that decision until September/October, so there’s that. By then I will also know if Hobonichi offers something like a Sailor Moon Weeks that I simply couldn’t pass on. 😂 If they don’t, I’ll stick with the PTD options.
I've been using the Take A Note Slim this year, and it's perfect for me. I do timelogging in the weeklies and do my daily to dos in the notes section, which is almost half the whole planner. I considered the Sterling Ink Weekly Vertical, but I prefer a half year format because I bulk up my weeklies with deco. I'm gonna stick it out with it next year. Just waiting for the Take A Note preorder to go up on Yoseka. I haven't decided if I want a Weeks for 2024. I love the cover designs for them, but I always struggle to use it functionally, and I never know how to use the notes pages lol. I have accepted that a full A5 book is more than I need or want for a planner, which causes me so much fomo, but my fear of waste tends to override it, fortunately. But I'm with you on the preorders coming out way too early. I get they need time to get their orders together, but in my opinion July is just absurd.
Just FYI - you can also order directly from Take A Note - the pricing is good and they ship fast. It's a great option if you can't preorder from Yoseka or for some reason miss the preorder. I'm a huge TAN fan! Have you seen the standard inserts from PaperTess? I'll be sharing mine when they get here (hopefully next week). They look awesome as well :) I noticed that AuraEstelle has a new weeks coming out that has less of the dailies - I wonder how it compares in pages to the Hobo Weeks. I'm going to look at it as an option :)
I brought the standard TN weekly from paperless I’m so excited for it to turn up. Does anyone know when take a note usually does their pre order? I have never used a slim before. Now I need to check that out as well lol
@@Whoopsididitagainco If I remember correctly, they went up for preorder on Yoseka around September and shipped around October, but someone mentioned that they're already available on the TAN site.
@@Whoopsididitagainco the preorder announcement for TAN will come out in August. Usually mid august. And you can buy from them or from some shops. And they also have undated standard vertical inserts as well as their record size which is similar to weeks size RTS on their site and with some retailers. And then their planners that are dated which I love 💕 they are so aesthetically pleasing. It’s a planner I struggle to find a use for but always want and buy 😝
We have to remember, we don't know what hobonichi will do this year, I think that's why so many companies make you pre-order(there are no returns), so I will wait until then I think. I have a LOT of money wrapped up in sticker sets, scripts, icons and covers that I love and want to be able to use, so that is a consideration. The only thing I would change on my Cousin is dated daily pages because I use these for memory keeping, so some pages are unused, which really doesn't bother me, so Paper Tess has tempted me there, but I do not want to change my weeks ever, Stalogy is Amazon and inexpensive, so I can order anytime, Sterling Ink has an A5, but I like having sticker space, and I like the quieter color of paper in Hobonichi. So, in a nutshell, I will order planners I don't need and probably sell most of them and use what I always use😂
I just started planning and am using the Hobo Avec to see if it functions well for me. So far so good. I so appreciate your insight and love your videos. Thank you for all your tips and tricks. I enjoy watching them. ❤
This is a great video .Really good ideas. Im struggling with too many choices ,but this is such a good plan .Thanks for the advice as it can become so overwhelming and then I don't want to use any .I love your honesty too .Great video. Thanks Hazel.
I'm new to the planner world, and I've done my first week, and I was scared to start. LoL I love your videos, I feel like I'm sitting across your kitchen table with a cup of coffee just listening to you catch me up on the past few days, or weeks. This video was so helpful to me, because I went too crazy on planners, first Erin condren, then happy planner, oooh I had to get the EC petite planners with the pink travelers cover, then I thought I would do better in the EC daily duo, but then Planner plum caught my eye. Now I want the Hobonichi cousin because everyones got one, then don't get me started on the stickers 🫣. So you are a thousand percent right about, what did you call it, "the cheerleader effect"....thank you for helping me to calm down....lol ❤
So happy I already have my 2024 system already decided and on my bookshelf. I know that anything smaller than B6 or bigger than 7×9 is not for me. I just live vicariously through others by reading social media posts and watching RUclips. I stick with the same lineup for the entire year 😊.
@@Whoopsididitagainco I use to be like that, then I realized that I love watching others use their different planners and planner hopping but it's not for me because I need to be able to go back and pull out 1 planner for whatever it is I'm looking for ☺
I have a papertessdesigns weekly that I'm not using, if you'd like to try it out! I've only used a few of the monthlies (July and on are all completely blank), several of the weeks (July 2 was the last date), and about 7 of the notes pages, which I can remove. I'd be happy to send if you'd like! And *thank you* for making this video, it's exactly what I needed right now as I do a mid-year refresh and maybe also think about 2024 planners... 😅❤
I'm team pre-order. I understand why small businesses need to for financial security and because customers expect it. I also understand the frustration of having to do it so early. But it literally takes manufactures months to fill orders and small businesses get pushed to the end of the line behind companies with bigger orders.
I love the tiny little passport planner too! I stayed with my 1 personal (a5) and 1 work (weeks size) but went with Common Planner instead of Hobonichi this year. The common planner fixed the few issues I had with my two hobonichi ones. I am hopeful for the cover fix. The cover material is different, and she said she knows what to look for now!
I love the common planner too. I just started in one 1 month ago and I have the new cover and the front page is already tearing. I'm sad I've made it so pretty but I'm scared it's going to fall apart. I have a few of them and they are not holding together as I hoped. They are so beautiful I just wish the binding was stronger.
@@apriltriggs2737do you have it in a cover? I pre-ordered one and now I’m worried. Ugh … I hate binding issues. You are right Becky, it’s scary to try new. Thank you for this topic. Already regretting I jumped so early. Wish I read this a week ago.
@@sharonstauffer7991if it gives you any reassurance, there’s a possibility there may be no issue. I have my B6 common planner from her initial preorder, received and used since November 17th and I have had no binding or cover issues. I preordered an A6 and passport for 2024. This was her first year of planner debut, so with better QC hopefully there will be less of those issues.
I have a passport so badly! I had a little LT several years ago. I loved it but that’s not who I am now. So while I want one so badly, I know it’s not worth the money. Also I’m glad I’m not alone in printing out what I need and test out different layouts.
I love your perspective and tips. I'm traveling to Tokyo at the end of this month and I'll be there for the Hobonichi release! I doubt I'll have any self control! I'm going to try the list of things I need/plan for....love that idea!
Have you thought of getting an A5 stalogy to keep all of it in? If you like the stalogy you could get a bigger one and do your rapid logging in there as well?
Catherine from GA USA here. I LOVE your hard work and detailed information. I am cranking up my new A5 HOBO Avec JULY-DEC 2023. I am planning to order both books for 2024. I also used The Daphne's Diary Planner 2023 and like it OK. Will not order 2024.I
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful. I really love your channel! Your videos are informative and fun. I really appreciate all that you put into your videos. I appreciate your thought process when it comes to planning Thank you and so glad I found your channel.
It’s honestly the easiest way to do it. I’m gonna have a mooch around your channel later and see if I can get any inspiration for my social media planner I’m seriously stuck lol
I love my Hobonichi cousin and weeks, but I found that the weeks was not big enough and the cousin was too big and I found that I really did not like the dated daily pages. I decided to try the Sterling Ink b6 and travelers size books. If when I get them and don’t like them, I could always sell them and buy something else.
I'm gonna go for a standard size planner in 2024 . I really love the sterling ink one but it's too expensive for me. I may buy a standard size planner form papertess designs or a notebook from sterling ink . But so far I'm planning to just cut down an a5 notebook that i really like to use as a bujo . Whatever it is I'll definitely be waiting till mid to end of october to purchase things.
PaperTess designs standard planner is more expensive than Sterling Inks one even with international shipping. When I read your comment, I went to her website to compare prices as I want a standard sized planner for next year and her standard is more expensive than the Stirling Inks one and it’s the non compact size, which means you get extra pages at the back to do dailies or journaling.
May i ask what the notebook / planner is that you used to demonstrate “Things to plan 2024” where you missed your monthly, weekly, daily items that you need to plan?
After using the Common Planner undated for the second quarter, I was so excited to start the dated half year in July. But due to some life situations, I haven't been able to do any daily pages or journal entries yet. Quite sad. I do think I'll stick with the Common Planner though.
Have you thought about doing a 101 for each planner that you use so that people could get an idea of the alternative planners that are out there and how you use them
I am currently in Hobonichi Cousin but I will be changing next year. I need my moths and weeks together eg. Jan and the 4 weeks with Jan, Feb and so forth) and that is why I am going to the Wonderland222 A5 version
I'm 99% sure that I will use the same planner lineup for 2024. I am considering adding either an A9 ring planner or a passport TN because I feel like I may need something truly pocket sized for work. Right now I'm using an A6 Stalogy for notes that I can transfer into my main planners.
It's funny i' m in this phase. I was like "i can't anymore with this planner". I just bought the planner i wanted for such a long time and i'm trying to wait until 2024 to start new. Now I'm preparing to change my planning system. I usually have one planner and i can have a notebook(goals, gratitude etc). After so many try to adapt my planner and my system, I know where I want to go with it. For next year I will have one fitness and health planner that I will show to my doctors, the other one for my everyday life(tracker, work, personal etc.) and a notebook for to do list by subject. I hope with 3, I'm gonna have my best life. It's funny how you can plan a way for wear and one day it doesn't fit you anymore
I’ve been using a passport tn dated monthly and a6 hoboNichi weekly supplement cut down to passport size for the last year. So I’m really excited about the sterling Inc. passport dated planner. Does anyone know of any other passport size planners that are coming out?
The angel shoppe has one but it’s monthlies and blank pages only and undated. And the notebooks too. And AE shares their layout Sunday and preorder starts on the 12th. I adore passport size and has bought one from Japan historically but I prefer whiter paper and TRP so excited for the SI which I have on order.
15:05 LOL! No shade, right! 🤣😂 I actually do use a Hobonichi Techo Day-Free, which is A6 size, as my daily planner/commonplace book/bujo. Where I work I can't have access to a handbag and need something that fits in my back pocket, because I just lose so much info not having somewhere to write it all down. The one thing I loathe about the techo is the lack of weeklies. I do have the weekly supplement at home, but it's frustrating for me to have to pop that info in a separate book. If you know of a Hobo Techo day-free clone (Tomoe River paper is a must!) with weeklies, I'd love to know. The OwlPaper NightOwl Journal would be perfect...but too big. P.S. 38:37 for anyone who does want to see Bec's 'The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain' notes. Defintiely NSFL. Terrible case.
All I need is an A6 tomoe river, 3.7mm grid (same as hobonichi) bound notebook, with calendars, horizontal weeklies and AT LEAST one page per day. Does anyone know a shop that sells that?!
I haven’t thought of next year really. But I only use personal rings so will just be getting inserts anyway. I do not like book bound planners and can not stand Hobonichi’s, not worth the money and the paper feels awful
great video! agree with you! I call it "psychological consumerism"- they play on emotions and that's what these social media platforms are about especially Instagram!! I feel sick when I go on it- it's in your face BUY, BUY, BUY!! that being said, I have been in Hobo weeks for like 5 years- but I've decided I don't want the thin paper anymore- at least taking a break from it. I really like the weight of the Midori "diary" paper, but think the A6 is way too small and the A5 is a little too large 🙃🤪 I need these next 6 months to figure it out- so preorder something? Nah! Did you see the Midori Hibino mania last year?? Major foam for many and after I saw a bunch of reviews of it, lots of people were unhappy with the thin paper- ghosting and bleed-thru problems....I am sure I will work out what I want to do, as will many of us!! 🤗
Guess my comment was deleted. All I was saying is that there's no right answer - if small shops don't do a preorder then they are out huge amounts of money upfront that they might not recoup, they have to storage mass amounts of product (which is hard for these super small shops) and we have to have ninja fingers to snag planners and then complain we didn't get one or that the time of the launch didn't work for us etc. If they do a preorder they have to do it early to ensure there is time to get the products made...which means we have to make some decisions early. But it also means we are guaranteed the planner we wanted and we have time to decide on that since the preorder window is usually (Aura Estelle being the exception) a couple of weeks or longer. Many in the community are reassessing their planners and making changes in June/July so the timing of the preorders does line up with when people are trying to figure out what is working for them and what isn't working for them. So that's good at least. And it's easy to resell if you change your mind later. I'd rather have a preorder early and make some decisions with my lists and notes and my planner style and ensure I have a planner I like then to have to scramble to try to snag one or be disappointed when they sell out. I think both ways there's frustrations and annoyances. But I'd rather have time to make an order and think thru it and the peace of knowing I'm guaranteed a planner than the stress of thinking I'm going to potentially miss out on a launch because they won't have enough stock or the launch time won't work for my schedule due to time zones etc. First world problems I know. I'm just excited we have so many options in good sizes now. It was so hard before to find planners in B6 and passport other than some Japanese brands that were hard to snag. So this is at nice change to the community :)
I dont know how your comment got deleted hun I definitely haven’t deleted any. Just reading through them all now. I 100% agree with the whole pre order things form a shops perspective and you’re right everyone is thinking about the 2024 lineup so it makes sense. X
Can’t you just use your list from the previous year of what to plan for the next year? I have a yearly plan, monthly plans, weeky plans and daily routines written out and I just reuse them each year/month/week/day so as not to reinvent the wheel every time so to speak. Edit: I have already bought a Hobonichi Weeks and Cousin for next year for the first time, although I did buy their 5-year diary last year. But so many of their products were already sold out from the local shop I bought them from, here in the Netherlands. I couldn’t believe that we are just half way in September and the best Hobonichi products are already sold out! I usually buy a generic planner in October or later!
I LOVED your video last year about this and so happy to be watching your video again. Honestly, why ARE we all doing this in July? 😂 Great and practical tips for how to methodically approach your planner purchases!

I’m here for you popping out these videos!!!!! Let me watch!
I understand but I want to preview what hobonichi will offer before ordering from the pre-order... its so hard to decide
You put into words exactly what I was thinking!
Very well done, Becky!! ❤
Agreed ❤
10000000% agree like my husband says what Becky has you want and calls me a Becky jr lol😂
So true! She's my go to now. So much info.
What do you love about it?
I’m going into passport for my OTG.
Pen/ ink only …I have an A5 stalogy for my pretty stickers and such
I just 'discovered' you and really like this video. I have been using a Hobonichi line-up for several years. And every year I look at others, buying some and then not using them, but find myself returning to my Hobonichi planners. But I love the idea of making a list of everything I need to put into a planner and see exactly what all I need.
I bought mine this morning, before watching this video! 😮
12:00 the W222 A6 is what I’m using for social media now (was in B6 previously this year) and I’m just loving the A6. Talked about it briefly on a W222 video recently and have another more detailed flip coming too. I think you are going to love it 💕
I plan to get the Wonderland222 A5 with the over 500 pages one. I was using the Hobonichi but the Wonderland222 offer the month and weeks together.
I don't think I could manage more than one planner at a time 🤯
You said you are having trouble with your functional planner….
Love the way you’re thinking about this, I think our brains work the same way. So just here to say hello and nice video!
This is such a helpful video! So refreshingly honest and practical. I appreciate all the tips and strategies for making our systems work for us, not working for our systems. Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Your nails are stunning
They are freaking me out - talons.
I'm already in my starting planner for 2024 since I do an academic year. It's nice to only have to make 1 choice for the year.
Thank you for your ideas for planning next year’s planning! I can’t wait to get started.
I think that I made the right choice though ..some thought went into in to it. ❤
I write a list of the planners too. I have 4 planners to choose from for my EDC arm 4 for my Catchall. I look at videos to figure out which will work for me. I don’t pre order because I feel I might change my mind.
I just want to say, I love your video and your honesty. Thanks for a great time! You said some of the things I was thinking 😂
This video is sooo helpful! I have watched it more than once. 😂❤ I thoroughly enjoy your videos!! Thank you!
I so love this channel.
I’m jumping on this process TODAY. This is going to save me soooo much money.
Oops, mine arrived this week. Same one I’ve used for for the past 10+ years. I’m happy with it. ❤️🇨🇦
When I got into the planner community and started my hauls of notebooks he said he didn’t mind bc all my mess was in one book and not all over the place on post it notes and backs of mail 😝
Of course don’t need a passport “planner” for this... I use just one notebooks. I have the chunky and half year ones. For the desk the chunky one is perfect. On the go the half year bc otherwise it’s hard to write in standing or driving sometimes.
Girl you Crack me up! 😁 ❤️ And yes, this was most informative, thanks Becky!
After all of these planner my head is spinning and I just want a grid composition notebook
Hi Becky, found you on RUclips two weeks ago and this video was very informative. Thank you xxx
Becky, this this video has been very helpful! Thank you for all the tips! ❤
Goddarnnit if there's going to be a Sailor Moon Hobonichi, all bets are off! 😂
They look awesome as well :)
I noticed that AuraEstelle has a new weeks coming out that has less of the dailies - I wonder how it compares in pages to the Hobo Weeks. I'm going to look at it as an option :)
If I tab my note pages so each section has a purpose, then I will use them.
You are so welcome!
SUPER HELPFUL VIDEO! THANK YOU!!!
So happy I already have my 2024 system already decided and on my bookshelf. I know that anything smaller than B6 or bigger than 7×9 is not for me. I just live vicariously through others by reading social media posts and watching RUclips. I stick with the same lineup for the entire year 😊.
I envy you. I just can’t decide and I get phone FOMO really easily
Omg omg yes yes yes that would be amazing. How do I get in touch with you. X
@@apriltriggs2737 There is a different cover for 2024, but it sucks that her stronger one also started to tear.
I think a mega weeks would also be good for a media planner as it’s very portable and lots of pages at the back for your ideas.
I have a passport so badly! I had a little LT several years ago. I loved it but that’s not who I am now. So while I want one so badly, I know it’s not worth the money.
Also I’m glad I’m not alone in printing out what I need and test out different layouts.
This video sealed the deal for me and made me confirm what I'm going to be using next year! Thank you!❤
I've gone for the N2 full year from sterling Ink. Just hoping it works out well. So similar to mega weeks I think so should be good. 👌
I love your perspective and tips. I'm traveling to Tokyo at the end of this month and I'll be there for the Hobonichi release! I doubt I'll have any self control! I'm going to try the list of things I need/plan for....love that idea!
Was wondering where you got your planners from there all so cute? Yes was very helpful thanks
Have you thought of getting an A5 stalogy to keep all of it in? If you like the stalogy you could get a bigger one and do your rapid logging in there as well?
Thank you for sharing your thought process. I appreciate help finding what I want to try for 2024.
9:10 I did the same thing with the planners I like and those I was looking at. Great minds ❤
I was absolutely obsessed with my a5 Stalogy that I cut down.
@@Whoopsididitagainco you were actually the reason i used standard size as my 2023 planner and i've been obsessed !
@@ruthm1975 really ?isn't paper tess designs one 37 dollars (full year) and sterling ink is almost 50 ?
This is amazing Beck, thanks for doing this and sharing. ❤❤
2:08 I just love your handwriting.
Thank you so much I was think it’s messy
Great info! Love the nails and pen you used, what kind was it ? Thank you
May i ask what the notebook / planner is that you used to demonstrate “Things to plan 2024” where you missed your monthly, weekly, daily items that you need to plan?
After using the Common Planner undated for the second quarter, I was so excited to start the dated half year in July. But due to some life situations, I haven't been able to do any daily pages or journal entries yet. Quite sad. I do think I'll stick with the Common Planner though.
Whats the cute clear plastic looking planners u use ??. Love the size n look !!!
Have you thought about doing a 101 for each planner that you use so that people could get an idea of the alternative planners that are out there and how you use them
I've waited for this 🎉🎉
I am currently in Hobonichi Cousin but I will be changing next year.
Great video and a fab way to look at things x
What notebook did you write your highlighted list in please? The one that’s the same size as a weeks but blank xx
Becky, were did you get your covers from? I like how the clear ones have a closure.
I just use Midori clear covers and the closure is a midori snap closure
You have me rolling! 15:06 😂😂😂 I said the same dang thing! #BeStrong 📖💪🏽✨💪🏽📖
I’ve been using a passport tn dated monthly and a6 hoboNichi weekly supplement cut down to passport size for the last year. So I’m really excited about the sterling Inc. passport dated planner. Does anyone know of any other passport size planners that are coming out?
Aura Estelle have announced there will be an undated Passport planner, but not the layout etc, the full reveal is coming on Sunday I think.
Lol girl, I just got this year's straightened up.
15:05 LOL! No shade, right! 🤣😂
I actually do use a Hobonichi Techo Day-Free, which is A6 size, as my daily planner/commonplace book/bujo.
Your booklet is brilliant!
Loved this! So helpful.
❤❤❤❤❤ I think it's time for you to have downloadable helper sheets for subscribers Mrs. Planner Guru! I love this video, thank you! ❤❤❤
Really informative. Thanks
Great tips!
Oh I’d love to see your collections notebook ❤
great video! agree with you! 🤗
Doing my list now even though I've brought one so far!🥴
This is brilliant!
Your absolutely right 😂
I LOVED your video last year about this and so happy to be watching your video again. Honestly, why ARE we all doing this in July? 😂 Great and practical tips for how to methodically approach your planner purchases!
