This is an excellent modern take on the Alchemist. Like all literature it is open to interpretation and although my understanding tends more to the spiritual than contemporary, that paradoxically is the strength of this book. In other words God's Word in a modern contex. I was presented with the Alchemist by a wonderful woman for my flight backpacking to Laos some years ago and it changed my life. In the remoteness and difficulty with the travel, the rawness of life in a completely alien culture surrounding me, my own personal journey bagan. I began listening to God's voice instead of blocking it out....I bagan experiencing what I now realise as the Holy Spirit entering and supporting me. The journey then took on apace and many other factors, people, places, events and revelations occured - small, slowly but continually - I was now open to them, maybe they were there before but I hadn't been listening, in any case it was the subtle non-lecturing style of Coelhe that enabled it all to happen. I owe this book so much as it really was the catalyst to a new direction and to a chance to develop my spiritual journey.
The insights of the auhor is definately excellent! I just felt disappointed about losing the game in the badminton competition due to my anxiety, but I learnt so much from this video and feels better after all. First, do not out the pressure on myself. I was so eager to win the game and I can not be lost, causing me feel really neverous during the competition. If I just clam down and be myself, then this competition might be just a piece of cake for me. Second, the journey is more crucial than the destination. After the fail, I felt quite depreeesed because I didn't reach my intended goal; however, I realize the feedback and the conclusion I made from this lesson is more meaningful than won a game, and I am pretty sure this would be beneficial to my future development. Lastly, to be in the present, neither past nor future. The fail passed, I have no reason to worried about it at all, and concerns so much for future is also meaningless, so the most appropriate way for me to live just be myself, and take each day seriously. In general, I really like this veido because it provokes me consider my own a lot. Thanks so much !!!😀

This is the best book summary of 'The Alchemist.' Discovering this video is wisdom, but the journey to find it is as valuable as the wisdom itself!
