    The other thing about this solo, as is the case with many of the orchestral saxophone solos, is that you play for a very brief time (this is one of the shortest), and then sit there for the rest of the piece (roughly 30 - 35 minutes). So, if you aren't happy with how the solo goes, you're stuck there on stage, having to put on a poker face for half an hour! Getting to experience that piece "from the inside" is majorly cool, though.

    What make horn, ligature and reed are you playing? We jazz guys have to deal with tuning on these notes also-a never ending process.

      From what I can tell, a selmer supreme sax, TM2 vocalise mouthpiece, and silver plated ishimori ligature

      @@saiyankohi2399 I think he said in another video that the lig is solid silver - but you're right that it's an Ishimori.

    as much as i love his tone for solo rep, i think the typical “clarinet” tone would fit this solo better since it allows the saxophone to blend with the orchestra better while retaining its uniqueness. that’s just me though, and he’s still amazing
