I have used the muscles of the lower lip in the wrong way for a long time, so now they are too stiff. How can I “stretch” them so they will be flexible again?
@@lillianhusbymelien5471 mh i think theres no specific way to stretch them. You will have to relax them with time. For me the bottom lip should be like a cushion, soft but supportive.
@@fabianhuegli thank you for your answer. I will do this both without the mouthpiece and always just before playing a few notes to hopefully teach the muscles to always relax in this way. (The same technique as you told us about how to learn to breath correctly.)
@@emjay2045 just try to maintain high tongue position also in the piano and use little but fast air. As if you would say the sound „ich“ in german. The back of the tongue needs to go up. Like a cobra
Hey im a bari sax player and im wondering if there is any workaround for raising the tounge or if u have any advice bc its really hard to with having to have so much mouthpeice in my mouth
@@KiddFropHi, you don‘t really raise the tongue. It‘s more like making a „ch“ sound like in the german word „ich“. The tongue pulls back like a cobra. Closing off the air pathway from the throat slightly.

@@lillianhusbymelien5471 Glad I can help you guys with a couple of things :)
How does one keep that fast air when playing “very soft” as opposed to “loud?” It’s mentality easier to blow faster for volume
