I can't get over some of the rude remarks. This man is doing you a favor in showing you how to operate this machine. I think he is very informative and thorough in his explinations, and I thank you sir. I think you are excellent.

I haven't used a sewing machine in over 20 years. I decided I wanted to make some curtains for my classroom. They never would've gotten done without your videos. Thanks!

I will follow you for sure. Thank you, thank you and thank you... I wish I could give you a big hug. I have the same sewing machine, and a Kenmore at that. I had never used Kenmore before. I had my old faithful 1928 knee pedal; Singer, when I moved 8 years ago my bobbin case was lost. I was having problems on threading this machine with the tension... you made my day. *hugs* from Nova Scotia, Can. ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you for your video...it's very easy to see and hear about what you are showing. That is a good tip about how to follow the needle's thread groove to thread the eye of the needle. Only error to correct is this machine does not have a drop feed dog feature...it has a feed dog cover to use. The stitches on the dial you said are for darning and buttonholes are only for the 4 step buttonhole. Darning with this sewing machine is done with the feed dog cover and zig zag stiches.

I'm a complete noob. I found my mom's sewing Machine, I want to learn how to make some things. But it's really hard to see what you are doing here. I'm sure it's great for people who have some experience. Didn't help me to much. heh

I ran out of typing room in my other reply...just to day your terminology is off at bit...but I know many who sew well yet don't keep the exact words of everything in mind. What you said at 9.35 is correct about the presser foot and the tension. That would be a good point to mention about upper threading as well...the presser foot should be up when threading the top thread which seems it was...but it's worth mentioning.

Sir you need a high definition camera, go to the nearest electronic store and explain to them what you're trying to do and they will help you.. But to put a sewing machine front of the camera and not zoom in for close up shots you have therefore defeated the very purpose of a video.. Still thank you for your efforts it was somewhat helpful

You don't have a clue about sewing. The "lines" on the sole plate are called seam allowance guides. Your tension has to do with the type of fabric you are sewing with. The feed dogs need to be in motion to make a button hole and applique. Maybe you should take some sewing lessons before you give out advice.
