iPad mini 6 is my favourite iPad for gaming and just watching videos around the house. I’d love to see more power to unlock all current iOS games.

My wife wants an iPad Mini because it is perfect for her to take anywhere. For over a year I have told her to wait for the next version update because of the jelly scroll problem. I hope the updated one has fixed that and it has 128GB base memory. She doesn’t care about an Oled or 120Hz screen. Battery life is more important for her. Processing speed increase is also important.
I am watching this on my iPad Mini 6 patiently awaiting an upgrade. I just returned my M4 iPad Pro today because it just does not do anything for me like the Mac does on the power end of the spectrum or that the iPad Mini can’t do as a consumption device. I am definitely looking for more power out of the iPad mini so that I can run some console quality games! Pray for the A18 but the A17 pro would do fine. Moving the camera to landscape to match the rest of the line up would be nice too.
I have the Ipad 6 mini and what it needs most is a better and brighter screen , yes a new chip to make it faster would be nice but not enough to make me update.
What it needs is 128 gb base storage 😂

I hope to see a Pro version of the iPad Mini, especially since its small size makes it easy to carry anywhere.
The previous iPad Mini is amazing, but the screen could be improved, and it doesn't support SIM calls, which would make it even more versatile.
I’m likely getting the iPad mini 7. I love the form factor, and rarely go anywhere without my current mini. I do wish for brighter screen, larger storage, and better cameras. Hopefully the price is reasonable.
I traded in my ipad mini 6 for the m2 ipad air 11 inch. I have regretted it ever since. I love the air, but the mini 6 was my favorite ipad. I miss the size. I will probably end up getting an ipad mini 7.
@@patburns64 yeah, the iPad mini size is perfect. Fits into jacket pockets and even the back pocket of my jeans and side pocket on various combat type trousers I wear, and small / light enough to carry around everywhere, like most do with smart phones. Yet, large enough to easily type on & watch content on. If I could only have one device, my iPad mini would be it, it’s close to perfect.
I was hoping for an I pad Mini Pro 7 OELD / Now they are pushing it back to 2026 really! Come on Apple! As a pilot the mini is my go to device in the Cockpit✈️

The current Mini isn't too bad for a lot of uses. I might just wait until the new Mini comes out later this year and grab a one-generation old one for a discount. Maybe even thru Apple Refurb...
128 GB finally on the mini but I already know that I’ll be getting the iPad Air 6… just waiting on a “sale” 😄 (so it’s going to be some time next year)

I would like a Mini 7 to replace my iPad 9th gen, so would probably buy one this year. I'm not sure I would need the selfie camera moved to horizontal, I just don't think I would be using it in that mode as much because of the size.
Still use a mini 2 for manga reading. Not going to bother upgrading unless we at least have a 512gb version.

iPad mini is perfect for aviation, phones are too small and the other iPads too large to manage. Very much looking forward to the 7.
My cousin gave me her older iPad when she upgraded. I love it and started on my Apple journey because I got an IPhone in 2023.

I only use my iPad mini for reading, browsing, and watching videos, so I won’t update until it breaks or becomes too slow to use. And I doubt I would even notice the slight increase in specs anyway

Everything I’ve read re OLED suggest that they have limited brightness. On a very mobile device, I’d want brightness to improve usability in sunlight.
Would also like to see them add into the cellular version the ability for it to make normal phone calls.
iPad Minis are so useful and handy for Nurses. Instead of using a small jot-down notebook for notes we can use an iPad MIni instead.
I dont know if a pro tablet will have much use with a smaller screen. Pros are usually used for drawing or video editing and both of those require a larger screen 🤔
I don't care if they rescheduled the ipad mini 7 for next year. It will still have 60 hz and A18 chip. Anyways, I am waiting for the ipad mini 8 pro chip Oled, thinner, 8.7 inch and 120 hz. I hope it will be officially confirmed next year.

iPad full size is a bit too big for me but the mini’s are a great inbetween the iPhone and normal iPad!

I have latest iPad Pro 512 GB and find it and Logic Keyboard gets heavy carrying it around all day. Now I mostly leave Logic keyboard at home and carry iPad only in backpack. Looking for an IPad mini pro with lots of storage, might compromise at 512 GB but really looking for 1T

If they come out with the iPad mini Pro, I’m all for it. I’ll get the top to your model. I don’t really use my phone phone and even if I communicate with my wife it’s through messenger and I can have my AirPods hooked up to it simple as that I’m just pretty much ditching the smaller screen I don’t use other than maybe if I’m at the store or whatever but who knows
Just a chip refresh, how disappointing that’s the least they can do and call it a new iPad. you would think they would put a 48 megapixel sensor for the rear camera and OLED display just to bring it up-to-date maybe even a battery increase that’s what I would consider a decent upgrade

I’ve had a couple of mini’s over the years. 4th and 6th generation. There a good tablet but found the screen a bit small when your main iPad is a 12.9 pro. I don’t know why Apple has been lagging on updating it? Unless they were considering stopping production. I’m in the market for a new iPad as my battery after 3 years has diminished significantly. Especially in the last year. iPads have no actual battery health monitor. There some tech videos show how to read battery health through analytics. Well mine is at 54%. I’m probably going with an Air or a 10. I don’t need the features of a pro.

If it gets at least the A17 Pro, I will grab it. The jelly scroll hasn’t been an issue for me on the 6, so whether there a “fix” or not is irrelevant. Also, it needs at least 128GB as base storage. Otherwise, I will survive until 2026.

Yes, at least M1, and so will the battery go for days without charging.
As if there wasn't already enough iPad variations. They should shift their focus back on hardware innovations and make something new, maybe come out with an e-ink tablet; since Apple already has an iPad that comes with a matte screen protector applied, they know there is a market for them.
I won't get the iPad mini, but instead I will get the new Apple Watch 10 (black) same color as the iPhone in 41mm with gps+cellular and the iPhone 16 or 16 pro in black when it comes in September.
A keyboard with it as well would be worth buying.

I don’t think this is true. The NPU will almost surely be bumped up: there is an NPU specs war going on. Now you may not care if you will never use any kind of AI, but I expect to.

The current iPad Pro is ridiculously powerful. Benchmark and spec wise. Outside of digital artists. iPadOS gives you no real world use for this power that couldn't be better covered by just buying Macbook Air.
