❤ Started my locs back in 1988. my first big chop when my dad passed. A cleansing ritual i chose for my grief process. Grew my hair out 3 years after and my locs formed on their own. I separated them gently into the size i wanted them. They were thin, not micro. My locs grew like they were possessed. They reached the bend of my knee. I chopped them after 24 years and rock my natural fro currently. I saw your video, and I'm now inspired to loc my hair again using the Microlocs technique. Yours are beautiful. Bless your mothers heart and hands. Bliss to you all❤
This looks amazing. I am looking to get this done and my daughter is helping me with the research. I like this size. You mom is amazing. That's love❤❤❤
I interlocked my own hair myself. Started out fairly long, like shoulder length. Now I'm 2 years and 8 months locked and happy. They've been adorned with glass seed beads at the ends of each loc. People think I put little diamonds in my hair when they see them twinkle at night in minimal lighting lol. The back of my hair is a pretty chocolate brown and the front is black. Still making subtle changes to my style and look slowly but surely, all in all my hair is flourishing beautifully.
I love your locs and your mother has done a wonderful job. God bless her and you on your new journey. I have started my microlocs journey for about 2 weeks.
Your mom IS The BEST for real! Your hair looks SO good!!! My first set I started with 2strands. My second set, I want to start off with interlocks but idk when. Happy 2nd Set Start to you!
very beautiful! When you jumped to the clip of your mom, I was like wow Josette's hair grew fast lol then you explained it lol. I use 4 pt rotation, not sure if its clockwise our counter, but I just always make sure I end with downward rotation so my locs will lay flat. Good video!
@@janeafoster3051 a few unraveled a bit at the ends. I braided a few rotations after the twist and it stayed. Just so you know I have 4c hair so majority of my hair didn’t unravel. If you have looser textured hair you may want to interloc your hair so it will stay.
It looks good so far your mom's doing a wonderful job. I started my loc Journey 9 years ago and I started with two strand twist. There past my shoulder blade
I started my second set of locs and this time it is micros. I just did a big chop and I braided my hair with some corkscrews to the ends. When it got loose within the few weeks, I then began interlocking the roots. so far I do a retie every 2 to 3 weeks because of my hair very soft texture, the hair , especially to the back, it unravels verrrrrry quickly.
I've had my hair installed for 1 month so far 😬 I started off with a combo of braiding my hair 1/4 of the way down then 2 strand twisting the rest. To retie i use the 2 point rotation, E to W then N to S.
I started my journey doing Finger Coils on short TWA hair 11-20-22. Dong everything myself. Now I want to Microloc my own hair. Your video is great to learn off of. Our hair is the same length ❤❤❤❤
Thanx for sharing your microlock install. You're hair looks amazing, your mum is doing an awesome job. Looking forward to seeing the final look, and following your journey 💜👑
I haven’t started my journey yet! BUT I’ve scheduled my install for next month so this time next month I will be lockd!! I’m having a professional do my install doing the interlock method like you 😊
my loc journey was started by interlocking by a professional. I have been loc'd with this set for 4 years and 3 months. I had my previous set for 2 years 3 months and those were started by 2 strand twists
I use the reverse 4 point rotation. So that’s clockwise. I’ve read that the reverse is used for excessive slippage. Didn’t realize that when I chose to go clockwise. Just made more sense to go that way to me.
I did watch part 1 and I understand that you washed ur hair but did you apply any other hair oil or products aside from conditioner? I Love that your mom was patient and loving enough to do your hair.. and you were loving and patient through the process to still entertain lil man💞
I have 140 locs, originally had 144 but the 4 merged with other individual locks. I really want micro locks but I know I’d never be able to maintain them myself
Is your mom a loctitian? She does a good job. Can she gives some pointers on the do's and don't's of getting sisterlocs? I keep hearing no oils or moisturizer products period, or else your hair won't loc. Is that true? My scalp can only go so long without products, and then it starts itching.
Does your mom do this professionally!? Because i cant find anyone who can do this on 3in hair! Does your mom wanna make some money I'd gladly pay her!! $$$
Your mom is incredible and her work is impeccable. Patience of a saint!

I have sister locs took 2 days 😩. But I love them. You’re mom is a real trooper. Amazing job

Girl where is the pic ??!
Did you interlock with your fingers first then use the tool like she did? My hair is shoulder length too. I wana try this method.
I love your locs and your mother has done a wonderful job. God bless her and you on your new journey. I have started my microlocs journey for about 2 weeks.

I can’t wait to see the final result!!! This is so satisfying to watch.
I have been waiting on you to reloc...I’m so excited. I started with two stand twists 3 yrs ago. I started interlocking about 8 months ago.
Your mom is the real MVP!!!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
wow your mom is incredible she is very detail in her work. your hair is so uniform and sectioned off perfectly. You are very lucky.

😂😂 yess having them lay flat is key
Aw. That kiss from the little boy was so cute!!! Your family seems lovely.
you know I had to subscribe to continue this journey, your mom deserves a weekend at a spa after she complets your journey. Love the process.
Shout out to Mom!!! It looks great.
I’m learning so I can loc my husband’s hair. Thanks for sharing your journey!
I started my locs with two strand twists. Congrats on your new loc journey!! ❤️
Mom is very patient and a perfectionist. Outstanding Work. Peace
Your hair is looking beautiful and your mum is very patient. God bless you both
I started my loc journey by myself with the 2 strand twist method. I have microloc btw. Good luck with this journey. Locs are amazing!!
Did you have issues of them unraveling on you? I’m thinking of starting mine with 2 strand twist too

Your Mom is a rock star !
A labor of love by Mom.😍😍
I've had my hair installed for 1 month so far 😬
I started off with a combo of braiding my hair 1/4 of the way down then 2 strand twisting the rest.
To retie i use the 2 point rotation,
E to W then N to S.
I needed this so much when I started mine... I didn't record but it took me 26 hours 2” long hair
Your mom is doing a beautiful job God bless you both ❤️❤️
So beautiful!!! You're mom is amazing.
I started my loc journey seven years ago with two strand twists. I maintain them by monthly trims and bimonthly washings.
i'm starting my daughter a grid and two strand twists. she is five with 4c kinky hair that i love.. so far the twists are looking excellent on her!
Good for you, congrats! She’s going to have gorgeous long hair before highschool!
I started my journey doing Finger Coils on short TWA hair 11-20-22. Dong everything myself. Now I want to Microloc my own hair. Your video is great to learn off of. Our hair is the same length ❤❤❤❤
I have been debating interlock or sister locs but watching this video made me want interlock. Love your mom technique. ❤
Good job
\your mom blessed you. I started mines with the braid loc method(singles) then ive had them maintained with the latch hook crotchet method
Thanx for sharing your microlock install. You're hair looks amazing, your mum is doing an awesome job. Looking forward to seeing the final look, and following your journey 💜👑
Thank you! Part 3 is coming soon 😊
I’m loving this . I’m also glad your starting your journey again . I’m 5 years in with my locs they are medium large . I kinda am considering this
Is it possible to change to a smaller size?
@@ParvatiHumhara you would have to comb them out or cut them to start over. Now if they’re smaller and u wanted to go larger ppl typically combine.
I haven’t started my journey yet! BUT I’ve scheduled my install for next month so this time next month I will be lockd!! I’m having a professional do my install doing the interlock method like you 😊
We’re practically loc twins 😊
Josette Bianca I KNOW!!!! I’m excited for your second journey and my journey as well!! Can’t wait for part three and other videos to come!!! 😘
I started my locs myself with coils continuing on with the re-twist and palm roll method.
Wonderful job your mom is doing
my loc journey was started by interlocking by a professional. I have been loc'd with this set for 4 years and 3 months. I had my previous set for 2 years 3 months and those were started by 2 strand twists
Yay been waiting since part one

I am inspired to try this when my hair grows out a little more. Very cute
Yes it’s the best hair decision! ☺️
Nice work! Would you do a video on how your start the loc before your do the rotations?
Your mom’s amazing! And your locs are 🔥
Thank you!
Thank you!
That was avery through demonstration and very easy to following.
My sister in law started with inter locks. My was shoulder length.
Very hard work well done i Wich my own done right now
I started mine myself with braids and interloc to maintain... are you going to reattach your locs that was cut off?
I did watch part 1 and I understand that you washed ur hair but did you apply any other hair oil or products aside from conditioner? I Love that your mom was patient and loving enough to do your hair.. and you were loving and patient through the process to still entertain lil man💞
Only shampoo, no oils or conditioner. Thank you☺️

So I got my micro locs done 5 weeks ago and she only did the interlock and said the first retie she will completely loc. Is that possible
That you’ll be fully locd, you mean?
