What a truly brilliant band! Sleep Token is easily my favorite new band. (New to me). The Love You Want is an incredibly powerful song. It's got so much to analyze! These are very serious musicians who aren't simply writing music, no, they are creating spaces and giving us a tour. I guess this makes them Musical Real Estate Agents.

"Why isn't this on the fricken radio?" Literally, the first time I heard this song I was actually... kinda mad that they're only blowing up NOW because this song is PERFECT for radio. Like this song would fit on a playlist with bands like Bastille, Imagine Dragons, etc. And it took their most experimental, progmetal song for them to properly blow up?? Wild. It makes no sense to me. This is up there as one of my top five Sleep Token songs
It remains a mystery to me.
I heard Blood Sport on the local radio 2 years ago... once and ONLY once. Nothing since! I don't understand. I've been an avid and devoted fan since. Sleep Token is hands down my all time favorite. Saw them in Knoxville in September of last year ('22) and they were absolutely amazing! Non-fans are missing out!
I love the use of the women in this video. You've got an entire group of women in a music video, all modestly presented without dancing dirty. But it's more feminin, captivating and enchanting than anything else out there in music videos.

Atlantic hit me like a train, there's a moment there when II just hit that sweet spot on those drums and I got overflowed by emotion to the point I had to pause the song to put myself back together. Killer song for me.

This song was my first gateway experience in to Sleep Token, and was top of my list for sooo long. They've def level'd up their game since, and I'm ALWAYS wishing their songs were longer, but this is still among my all time faves. And you gotta appreciate the choreography. Going back a little bit further you may like "Sugar" from their Sundowning album (which could be argued may or may not be a prequel of sorts to "Vore"?).
But since you're such a fan of the air drums, maybe check out "Hypnosis - From the Room Below" for a drums only rendition :9

My only gripe about this song are the conflicting lyrics about the lock, a combination lock doesn’t have a key to swallow. I know it’s a metaphor, but given that Vessel is soooo intentional with his writing it feels like an oversight. Either that or I’m not delving deep enough into its true meaning. Anyone?
I think I vaguely remember having a combination lock that also had a key. If I remember correctly, it had a keyhole in the back and combination knob in the front.
Also, can a sequence of numbers that make the combination be called a key as well? Is Key synonymous with code, password, combination??? or am I making excuses for Vessel? lol
