will this work on ps vita 1000
so after we've done the step of jailbreaking we go straight to this after? is it still the same way to do it? any changes at all?

One thing I love about this jailbreak is it allows you to switch the functions of the X and O buttons in the live area and menus. For those who don't know, on the American models of Vitas, the X Button activates items in menus, and the O button deselects, but it's the reverse on the Japanese models and you can't change it. But with this jailbreak, you can make the change. I have a Japanese silver model and never liked using the O button to select things, so as soon as I found that option, I switched it over and never looked back.
In the "Settings" Menu go to "ACCESSIBILITY" " BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS" to swap "CROSS" and "CIRLCLE"

You get used too it if you play alot of nintendo games. The buttons have always been reversed like that. Its a nice touch though for sure.
Appreciate the step by step explanation. Even though sometimes it feel slow, it really help when you are under stress trying to not press the wrong button.
Whoa! This version makes it 100× easier to jailbreak! When I first hacked my Vita, I've struggled with some technical difficulties and it took me about two weeks to resolve it. This is great for those who are jailbreaking their Vitas for the first time! Thanks. 😭👍

Blaine, maaaate - you forgot to mention in the video that the Vita needs to be on Official Firmware v3.65 or higher (up to 3.74 at the time of this video) to run this mod! :) Love ALL your videos, keep it up!
Agreed. If you don't have the right firmware HENlo lets you know and tells you how to update it though, so not a major omission . Their team really did an awesome job with the tool. Very beginner friendly

This is not working for me. It will never install vitadeploy. Says could not write file is ux0 present. And if I chose the replace near option nothing g happens.

you just have to install henkaku everytime your vita shuts down
You need to install the internal storage then do it, its cos you have no memory

I just love the way he's telling us where and what to press to move step by step but others are just make us lost what to do in exact same way like how he tell us what to do. i don´t get the Henkaku settings... i´m on a PS Vita 1000 with no memorycard?
Mine did the same . After you replace near with vitadeploy and the system restarts, open the web browser and then itll open the menu again so press Exit and henkaku should be in settings this time!

Yes. What the gentleman said. You need a memory card. Just get a third party one. Got a 1000 Vita myself. Best handheld out there. I like it better than a switch.

Awesome! The Vita is like 1,000,000,000,000x cooler now than it was as a stock console 10 years ago or so. The community surrounding the Vita home-brew scene is second to none. :)

Delete the cookies and search history
I had this. I opened the setting app and closed it again manually, closed all tabs on the browser, and cleared cookies again. Worked for me
I keep having this same issue even with closing all browser pages and deleting history and cookies

I just did mines and trust me bookmark that page you will have to re install everything at least 3-7 times 😅 before it works

I have a vita 2000
And yes this method should work with all but listen to the video closely because if you a have a vita 1000 you have to do a step differently.
@@pubggod4379 also make sure you get a SD2vita pro adapter
This'll make things a lot better and you'll be able to use a regular SD card with the vita.
Plus you'll want that storage option because you'll get a lot of games at one point(even if you think you won't lol)

When you say “no memory card” do you mean official memory card or just nothing in the slot? Would a sd2vita work? Cuz I have a vita already on 3.65 with an sd2vita card, which option would I select to install? Would it still be “install vitadeploy” or “replace near with vitadeploy” also I see the option to exit and mount sd2vita to ux0, should I do that as well? Sorry for all the questions

An SD2Vita would not work with this, as it can’t be set up until the console is already modded, so unless you have an official memory card, you have to select replace near with vitadeploy if you are on a vita 1000 model.
@@UtfanYTI selected that and I'm on model 2000 with no memory card and on the next step I go to settings and I didn't see the henkaku settings pop up, it's just not there. Can someone help?

i got to the henlo bootstrap stage, but it won’t let me go down to install henkaku and vitadepoly. the only button working is the X button which makes me exit
I did this and now my vita won't even load in the internet browser

You are awesome!! I'm happy to finally do this for my pstv and dl all my digital games I purchased via a 512gb micro SD card. I have so many I've purchased over the years both Vita and psp.
I have two pstv and a first model vita oled but may not do that yet as I still have some Vita music cartridges I enjoy playing via touch screen. However, I am curious if I can use the jail the other pstv to play unsigned games since Playstation only allows two handheld accounts activated at once.

i downloaded the henkaku and vita deploy when i exit that page my vita restarted and nothing download every time
when my system restarts it says last time when the system was used it was not power off corectly

Buy a usb adapter for your phone. I've dl alot of gba games to my iPhone to play via the site for iPhone he's mentioned before. I then connected a usb with micro SD card to my iPad (airplay my games from iPhone to iPad that has usb) and just transferred them to the usb so I could play them on my android tablet. Never needed a pc. You can use that micro SD card from your Vita.
I'm not sure I heard you say on the video, but does jailbreaking the ps vita mean you can't go back to factory reset and accessing the psn store? Thanks for this aqesome ps vita videos, btw. I think I'm about to ressurrect it after years without even touching it.

When I downgrade my wifi stops working and idk what to do maybe another guide. If yall need to delete Henkkaku, go in the henkkaku settings and press reboot after you press reboot hold the left bumper when it reboots you should be able to re update

this just isnt working at all, when the install is complete it reboots and i have to install henkaku again, but then once i try to install itls, all i get is errors, I have a 1000. I just dont know what to do at this point

I have to turn off the ps vita by entering reset mode by holding down the power button, otherwise it stays on that screen.

Not really. If you have henkaku up and running, you're good to go. The jailbreak is all about being able to run home-brew software, which henkaku is ready and able to do. :)
Is it best to create a new psn account to prevent a ban on the jailbreak?

Just follow the guide and you’ll be fine. Also watch the sd2vita card upgrade for more storage.
