That's why I drive for my vacations, I'm not getting on a plane if I can help it. Did enough of that as a military kid. I flew all over the world, not doing it as an adult, nope not happen. I'll drive my truck with my camper. Idc how far it is.

I’m guessing a parachute big enough for a passenger airplane would weigh quite a bit and take up a sizable area, so it would drive up the cost for fuel while also leaving less space for paying customers. Just a thought

They do make a parachute for smaller planes that deploys out the back and carries the plane gently to the ground. A parachute for a 747 would have to be a half mile wide so just a dumb idea.
