I love this guy, he is talking about a desk fan and then says he "fails to see what it brings to the table" and doesn't stop to acknowledge his magnificent pun. Sad times.
Bought this fan yesterday off of Amazon and returned it the very next day. And this was a bummer because my mom has a taller Dyson floor fan and I love her fan. But the pressure of the air on this specific smaller version is just okay to me but I had to crank it to 8 or 9 just to feel the air while lying down in bed. Previously, I had a tower fan that was super loud but it put out stronger air. But my biggest ISSUE with this fan was the ANNOYING bright white led light that displays what level the fan is at. In the daytime, you can't tell but at night, having this fan in your bedroom is NOT good because the led light at the bottom is bright as hell!!! I mean, you wake up out of your sleep and it's beaming right at you!! You can't even go to sleep with this fan on with the lights out, it's that bad. And you can't cover the led display without covering the sensor itself which was annoying while in bed trying to change the levels. I just DON'T recommend this fan for a bedroom at all especially for night time use. Trust me...the led light will be a major distraction!
Thanks a bunch man, I was actually considering getting one of these fans since they boast being quiet. I would like to just have a nice cool room with no sound as I do some game recording but since you've shown in Adobe Audition that it isn't actually ANY quieter than a traditional fan, I'm definitely not buying one. Guess I'll just have to fridge my room cold with the AC, record, then take breaks.
When the fan is at the slower setting, it is far quieter than a normal fan, which you can't usually slow down that much. At night you are not going to be wanting to be blasted with air, so you would probably only have it on 1-3 which are very quiet. I
I bought the AM06 for few days ago and on satisfied with it. Super quiet and with low power consumption. I do not like the video so much, he talks too much and shows too little...
i need to ask the question - why is this so expensive. I went to check out one of these yesterday and asked them to switch it on. I was shocked at how much air it gives out and the assistant could only say `well its a desktop fan` I didnt bother to ask them to test the heater version as id proberly get more from a cigarette lighter. I was not impressed with it so went argos and paid 15 quid for a fan that actually does kick out a good amount of cold air. Save your money or check it out before buying.....................Its new technology but it simple doesnt work. You go on about noise - id rather have a noisy fan that works than a fan that doesnt kick out much air. I have no clue why people are buying this - must be a fashion statement or they have more money than sense. Stand back at a distance and do the feather test - show people how under powered the fan really is.
There is only 1 logical answer to WHY something that shouldn't be so expensive is so expensive. And that answer is: Because there are always fools who will pay it! If you can sell something that is worth 50$ for $500, then you will price it at $500, that simple!
Out of curiosity the noise test? The standard fan had what 3 or 4 speed settings? And the Dyson has 10? So what was the airflow output on both fans? I don’t believe you can do a fair test if the Dyson is blowing near to double the standard fan? As of course it will be louder?
In reply to my query Dyson said: The fans do not contain any air conditioning element. They will therefore not bring down the air temperature in the room. They cool the person instead.
banjojohn66 doesn’t look like there’s anything you can remove! You can vacuum the vents at the bottom to clear the dust, and also separate the top and bottom of the unit and wipe clean the interior. Otherwise, isn’t too much to disassemble unfortunately!
So, in conclusion, you have a $350 fan that does pretty much the same job as a $20 fan! And it seems the only thing paying that extra $330 brings you, is a nicer look and easier to clean! LMAO No Thanks...I'll pass!
Im not worried about the price or the look. Performance is NON existent . This is one purchase that has made me cross. Trouble is he's like Boris - every time I see his stupid smug face I get more irritated
I bought one of these 2 years ago for 300 dollars, the most garbage fan ever. It feels like someone's farting at you. And not to mention that it's loud AS SHIT!! it sounds like a fucking wind turbine
@@JBCTR if ur gonna look at it that way then I guess a dirt bike and an 18 wheeler are the same, I know people who have farts with higher air flow than that thing
i like the sounds made by a good quality blade fan...acts as a white/ soothing noise when sleeping
Here I'm waiting him to switch on the fan
recall are you happy now
U still waiting?
Are you still there?
You were one of youtube videos I watched first before purchasing few days ago. I'm actually happy with this product and it suits my small apartment!
Kimi Browne I want one how do you like yours? Worth saving up a few weeks?

Exactly!
Honest and practical review, just what I was looking for excellent! I think the mention of a timer did it for me. Excellent job!

I just order this fan, I have a feeling this fan will be hard to get before summer time

Just a shame that quiet AC costs a fortune!
Noble Absinthe get a bitch with a hand fan
The point of having 10 speeds is not that you can make difference between 6 and 7 but that you can have very low airflow AND high airflow!

How is it holding up now if you still have it?

I’d want a small version of one of these, to have on a desk
You can get copies that are much cheaper and smaller too.

well done, good job in keeping your integrity... and you found a good way to promote it for the potential "right" people
but where do u buy it? it's totally gone can't find it :(
Is it cooling the air down at all or it's the same ambient temperature air flow?
No it doesn't cool down the air, I think Dyson has really tried to con people with this product.
It is not much cooler as it draws in the air and releases it.
In reply to my query Dyson said: The fans do not contain any air conditioning element. They will therefore not bring down the air temperature in the room. They cool the person instead.
Is this 10 or 12? Thanks
Shittest magnifying glass I’ve ever seen
#DEAD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Expected it to be a lot quieter.
You didn’t talk about the tilting angles ?
This time, I came to watch it from Twitter! Nice video!
There's a reason Dyson doesn't make propeller driven aircraft.
They are gimmick marketing company.
Great review but wouldnt the internal fans get dusty after a while or is there a filter you remove ?
banjojohn66 doesn’t look like there’s anything you can remove! You can vacuum the vents at the bottom to clear the dust, and also separate the top and bottom of the unit and wipe clean the interior. Otherwise, isn’t too much to disassemble unfortunately!
many thanks
Bladeless fans blow with an internal jet.

Lmao it is NOT EASY to clean
I hope you gave them their fan back. It's not as dire as you made it out to be lol
i dont get it if its not more silent then whaaaaa
It’s actually really quiet when you try it
Dyson = invents new ways to rip people off.
There is no way to rationalize paying for these.
still make noise and less air and more expensive = fail
So now we know that Dyson is making a real life Fortnite SlipStream
SALUDOS AMIGO COMO SE DESARMA ESE VENTILADOR PARA REPARARLO O HACERLE EL SERVICIO CORRESPONDIENTE
I need the sound

Arguably it is a wind turbine…

Who else prefers tradional one
Worst review ever 🤦♀️
