We use a Meaco dehumidifier + purifier (combined unit). We prefer the humidifier for keeping cool over a fan, and it reduces chance of mould, and helps wash dry more quickly.
I've recently dipped my toe in the air purifier rabbit hole and have come across those Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes, preferably the variants with PC fans for even lower noise and electricity usage. Would love you to look into them and make a video about it!

Meaco over Dyson every time for me, much more effective and better value for money in my opinion.
As for single products vs convergent products, when it comes to air quality I do think individual products perform better. I own a fan, dehumidifier, humidifier and purifier (only the first 2 are Meaco). They are never used all at once but throughout the year for different purposes and whilst having an individual product that can do all 4 tasks would be slightly more convenient, I have not yet come across a product that would perform better than what I have currently.
Completely agree with your point about having an air purifier running alongside a fan, always been an advocate for this

Really interesting, if fire season had been worse this year was going to seriously look at a purifier.
I control my Dump AC/Fan with a Universal remote and HomeAssistant no annoying apps needed
When talking about noise something I haven't seen mentioned is the vibrations through the floor of different fans. My neighbours have a Dyson and because the motor is in the base the vibrations travel straight into the floor. This noise travels into the wall between our houses and makes my whole wall resonate. It's really loud and really annoying. A fan on a stand simply couldn't do that.

Uh, why a fan if there is passive ventilation with a margin...
We often have the door shut for various reasons, playing TV load, stopping dog going etc. In my office I keep the window shut as I'm usually listening to music or talking in meetings late at night etc.
@@BenVallack That's all good. But... It is very interesting to listen to how oxygen appears in the room using these devices... And fresh air.Especially in the kitchen. Or don't you cook?
100% agree very important to get plenty of ventilation, especially when cooking. We often have doors and windows open so plenty of time for oxygen and co2 to refresh. The fans are there for specific sessions in given rooms where we don't have a window open. Being on the phone late, or watching a film loud etc.
Good job revealing that you got stuff for free. But why didn't you just bought another set of devices from a different manufacture to compare to have 3 items to compare? That way you'd have one 1 out of 3 sets of maybe sponsored stuff. There would've been way less need to explain the conflict of interests, or maybe there wouldn't be any need too if the not free stuff was better or equal to free stuff.
Btw. I'm again suggesting you to try pc fans hooked up to a pc or pc like device with or without noctua flow optimiser for gentler airflow.

What about cleaning that fan? Those fan blades are going to end up caked in dust in 12 months or more which surely will impact performance. That’s one reason I moved to Dyson fans, easier to clean.
The front grill comes off and the blades can be removed for easy cleaning!
