Although I'm not noted for being "Mr Safety", can I request that you add a note in the description to make people aware of the high hazards associated with just the microwave transformer on its own. There has been a dramatic increase in dabblers being electrocuted when experimenting with them (usually when making burnt wood-art). Aside from the higher than normal shock current to ground, the transformer defeats the protection of a GFCI/RCD.
Yeah I was also thinking it's maybe a bit risky to encourage people to build a microwave gun with a MOT using the words "you don't even need a circuit diagram"
@@jwonz2054 it's a transformer, once you transfer energy trough the isolation barrier, the L-N current loop that is monitored by the RCD is no longer involved.
@@jwonz2054 The GFCI needs to sense a difference of current between the current of the Live wire, and the current of the Neutral wire in order to trigger. If you're getting an electric shock at the output of that transformer, there will be no current difference between the L and N wires, and therefore the GFCI will not trip.
@@londonnight937 actually the output is ground referenced. One end of the transformer secondary is connected to the transformer core which is grounded, so you can get a fault current flowing to ground if you touch the hot end of the secondary. However as the secondary is isolated from the live and neutral a GFCI will not detect an unbalance.
For anyone trying this at home, be very careful with the transformer and the high-voltage electronics. The 2000V output is *very* lethal, and the capacitor may hold a charge even with the device is turned off.
Yeah, I generally wouldn't recommend anyone try these experiments at all. If you get too close you could quickly cause yourself internal damage, including brain or eye damage.
Excellent and very important point. Microwave transformers are no joke. There's also beryllium in the magnetron, which is very dangerous if it becomes airborne.
Some years ago I recall an episode on NPR where a journalist tested the full scale system that was designed for crowd control. He was 200feet away, and described the sensation as an instant sunburn or putting your face in an oven. Once the beam was disabled the sensation went away instantly. His opinion was it was uncomfortable enough to deter anybody.

@@inowillie while I believe that they intentionally tried to trap people within the fire, I've heard those 15 buses were used to evacuate tourists. Why more buses weren't used to evacuate the actual people who lived there I have no idea, apparently they wanted maximum death of the local residents. It seems clear that there were extremely dark interests in league with the local authorities to try to kill as many people as possible with this fire so they could then have easy access to the land and property previously occupied. Elite billionaire real estate interests want to develop the area. Whether this fire was started deliberately idk but it now seems clear to me that they certainly did their best to capitalize on it to maximize the death count. Just because You arent able to comprehend certain things doesnt mean the rest of the world is as incompetent. Whats so hard to understand about frequencies again?
Please note that the ordinary aluminum screen idea may not offer much protection when faced with one of the crowd control devices operating near 100 GHz or higher frequency. The energy readily passes through holes of a half wavelength or larger. A half wavelength at 100 GHz is about 1.5 millimeters, which is similar in size to the holes in ordinary mesh screen. A screen with considerably smaller mesh would be more effective, and the aluminum foil would be very effective. Metallized mylar may or may not be a good barrier, depending on the surface resistivily of the deposited aluminum. To reflect a lot of the energy and not burn up by absorbing too much, the surface resistivity, measured in terms of ohms per square, should be quite small compared to 377 ohms (the impedance of free space).

As a radar tech, I knew pilots did not turn off their radars on the ramp, especially if their aircraft had an auto turn off system that was not working, I had a NE2 lamp hot glued to the bill of my cap. If that lamp lit, the radar was on, and I would know not to get within 10 feet or so of the radome. I cut the leads about 15.5 mm and had them at right angles to the lamp. If you are getting burned from a radar, it is putting out way more power than an X band weather radar. X band radar puts out 3 to 10 KW at 9.750 GHz, and the accepted safety range was 8 to 10 feet. Weaponized? It is part power and part frequency.
@@oldmech619 Whatever you say, all I know is, the peak power out is in the 3 to 10 KW range, and it is enough to fry eyeballs and testicles, and I didn't want to have problems with either.
@@jeffreyyoung4104 Well, I never stood in front a radar antenna while tx operation. There is a switch that disables the tx but keep the antenna in operation, for safety. I don’t think it would hurt, but I did not want to test that theory. If the radar was putting out that much power continuously, it would definitely be dangerous. There also would be a heck of a power draw on the electrical system.
@@oldmech619 In a lot of old civil aircraft the only switch is the one on the radar display that says standby. And it wasn't until the 1970s that that switch put the transmitter into standby as well, otherwise the radar had to be off for the transmitter to be off. It wasn't until the mid 1980s that avionic shops started adding the squat switch to put the radar into standby automatically. Fortunately, aircraft in civil aviation are going to non radar weather display using the new (1999) aviation datalink via fis-b and uat ADS-b. With Garmin leading the way. But there are the newest radars that do use much less power in the transmitters, and are safer, but it is still ionizing energy and can cause problem.
Back in the 70’s, when GIs were coming home from Vietnam, I had a classmate with an interesting story: He and another soldier were detailed to field test a “field radar unit”, which consisted of a 6 foot dish mounted on a trailer pulled by a jeep. They were sweeping the jungle with it, and swept a farmer’s cow with it multiple times while looking at the images. The cow died of it, and their CO made them buy the farmer a new cow.
@@borkborkfoxxo279 Your comment reminded me of the time that my units mortar section killed 72 cows one day. Those that were not killed outright officers had to go through and put out of their misery with their .45s
I can’t imagine radar being effective at detecting anything within a jungle, particularly from the ground. If the cow truly died from this then I’d say they were more likely to have directed it at the cow, intentionally and at close range, rather than incidentally “sweeping” the cow during the test.

So here's something, in simple terms, for someone who appears to be an ESL sort, not a native speaker. When you use an apostrophe in a contraction in English, the apostrophe does not go between the two words being combined, but rather in the place where a letter (or more than one) has been removed. You did this right in "can't", which would come out that way either way, but not in "have'nt" and "was'nt". Those should have been "haven't" and "wasn't", because the apostrophe is replacing the 'o' from "not". I've seen the military's old microwave (radar) suits before they were for technicians on the flight line and were a whole body suit that was a metalized nylon mesh and was deisgned to distribute the energy away from the body. So I think it was like a bug screen with metallic coating. slightly bigger mesh than bug screen maybe 2mm or 1/8th inch. It had a warning that there would be arcing and it could focus the energy into your armpits and crotch
sounds very similar to the severe burns people get at the dhs border crossing unregulated xray machines. had severe burns in those particular areas likely due to the pituitary glands and other areas of secretion and hormonal regulation focusing the water effect vs higher tolerance in fat. took a whole month and several antibiotic medications to recover. Can barely imagine what workers that have to cross twice daily endure, so many die of cancer at the border
Would it be possible to detect the small voltage on the shield and have maybe an LED light up to warn the holder that they are under active attack? I guess that raises the question of how do you detect when high amounts of energy are being beamed at you?
It would be a small voltage, but there are circuits that will boost it enough to drive an LED. The first to mind is the “Joule Thief”, popularized by the BigClive channel. Everything needed to make it can be found in a dead compact fluorescent light. The other easy option is a solar garden light. The screen would replace the solar panel, and the output of the voltage booster would go to an LED instead of a battery. These are seriously easy hacks to do at home. The Joule Thief is a very robust circuit that isn’t picky about exact parts (e.g. how the coil is wound), etc.

Big difference between ADR weapon (95 GHz) and household microwave (~2.5 GHz). The higher the frequency, the smaller the hole size on the metal screen needs to be. 95 GHz has a wavelength of about 3.156 mm, so you need a mesh opening smaller than that to block it. Edited 4/28/22: Actually I believe the rule is that you need an opening 1/10th the size of the wavelength, so blocking 95 GHz would require holes no bigger than 0.3156 mm. You could try to accomplish this by overlaying multiple layers of ordinary aluminum screen, especially if you place them at varying angles to each other.
@@cereusareoles9123 A fog would block it, but how are you to carry a fog machine with you on a protest. You would have to rely on the amount of water you carry with you. This was really cool and informative. From working with kilns, I suggest that you gotta be careful that any system you use can be easily and quickly discarded; if you wear something that absorbs the energy and it gets too hot, you need to be able to jettison that material and depart the beam. Even super heat resistant kiln gloves will heat up so much that they’ll burn you if you don’t get your hands out of the kiln and quickly take them off once you notice the heat.

Minor correction on the mechanism of microwaves lighting up fluorescent tubes: This works because the microwaves are coherent. Microwave photons don't have enough energy to move electrons to different orbitals, but if enough of them are coherent it establishes an alternating electric field in the path of the beam. Same mechanism as a tesla coil lighting up bulbs, but without needing to arc.
@UniversalExpanse Where did I state it was not harmful? I picked my words extremely carefully and used "compared to other types of non-ionizing radiation" specifically because I know what I'm talking about. I think you need to work on your reading comprehension a bit. The point is, classifying microwaves as ionizing radiation when they aren't is just plain wrong, the distinction exists for a reason. With enough power, any form of radiation can cook you. But we also happen to know that certain types of radiation (ionizing) can more easily cause damage to DNA and cause things like cancer. There is currently no consensus on whether any amount of ionizing radiation is actually safe, but the most likely answer is, no amount should be considered safe. I think you need to work on both your reading comprehension and understanding of radiation a bit.

@@davidsteinhour5562 what you were hearing was the microwaves inducing a current in the microphone. Notice how the sound disappears when he blocks them.
What you are hearing is the power supply riple, the rectified positive voltage pulses superimposed upon the carrier of the microwave (also referred to as "common mode noise"). You'll notice it more when there is a mismatch between the energy being emitted and the energy being absorbed by a load. I used to be an active amateur radio operator in the 90s and 00s. Once I was working a DX contest on the 2 meter band using a high gain circular polarized 11-element beam antenna. I was operating an amplifier pushing 50 Watts actual into the antenna with an effective radiated power of 1,000 Watts. All of a sudden, my next door neighbor knocks on my front door and asks if I'm on my radio? Apparently, he could hear only my side of the conversation with disparate contacts elsewhere through his television speakers. But the best part, was that his television wasn't even turned on at the time! His TV's speakers and audio circuitry was rectifying my radio transmissions and demodulating the audio because it was being hit with such a powerful RF signal up close. I reduced output to just 2 Watts from the radio into the antenna and the problem went away. After reducing power, I was still able to pick up several contacts all along the eastern seaboard (I'm in southeastern Michigan).
@@MrBrelindm You're describing a crystal radio. The wiring is the antenna and the PN junction of the output transistor is the diode detector. This happened to me living 3 miles from a 50kW AM transmitter, audio out of the speaker when the receiver was OFF.
A street sign, with its 3 right angles direct reflectors, would be a fantastic counter for these systems, sending the light straight back to the source, returning the favour
@georgieippolito9924 yes precisely, the reflective print is what I am talking about, the 3 right angles is what causes it to reflect back to the source seemingly in any direction. That's how they are constructed

Really love your analogies and descriptions, never really grasped why microwaves heat up molecules until you mentioned the fact the water molecules are dipoles reacting to the magnetic field. Had the same experience with your explanation of bernoulli principle in another video. Great work, just the right amount of technical details to really grasp the fundamentals
Silent weapons for quiet wars.. Thank you for this information.. it all makes a whole lot of sense. All of the symptoms you speak of and the mercury problem connect some dots as well.
Short answer is yes it can. Of course they are not going to say it in the video for obvious reasons, because it can be an extremely powerful weapon, especially if you are close to the mouth of the uwave cannon. I suppose that if you do that and injure someone, they will sue you.
Thank you for the excellent demonstration and how to mitigate effects of microwaves. I didn't know microwaves could be reflected back to the originator source.
Someone should make a shield that reflects the microwaves back to the person who is using the microwave weapon. You could have some sort of light on the shield to pinpoint where to direct the reflected microwaves.
Retroreflectors should work perfect for that. Don't even need to aim them - just duck behind a shield made of retroreflectors and whoever targets you, will get the load straight back.
@@MPRiley-rb6lj my thoughts exactly.. Except you'll need an eyesight tube for targeting. So you could also use a flat shield with a 90°peep tube so you can aim steady back. Even a fraction of a degree off and you can reflect back half a block off target! So I thought parabolic at first but then realized the beam reaches you is already focused so no need to refocus. You only need to reflect back. For this a flat surface is best! Parabolic would only diffuse your reflective efforts!

Your Previous Video on your research including the room with no sound was Outstanding with all the sound absorbing materials to common household bat insulation, Perforated Tiles & of Armstrong Mineral (2'x4') in Sound waves in Rooms to eliminate reflecting unwanted wavelengths. Use 3 reflectors at a right angle to make a corner reflector to send back the energy to the emitter. That could potentially damage it. Those using whose weapons will be bitten at their own game!
Thankyou so much, I really enjoy this type of information, as someone who’s sensitive to emf’s. I know there is clothing and hats made with metallic fibers for deflecting radiation, though most are pricy. I look forward to following your channel.
A couple of small corrections: (minor) A half-wave rectifier does not double the frequency. A _full-wave_ rectifier would double the frequency, but also could not be used to increase the voltage. It's basically one or the other. (Doesn't really affect the rest of the description that much, though, which was otherwise reasonably good) Electromagnetic waves definitely can pass through apertures smaller than their wavelength. At sizes smaller than that, the material is no longer completely transparent, but it does not become immediately opaque either, and a substantial amount of energy can still flow through depending on the size of the holes. That is why even in consumer microwave ovens, where the wavelength is on the order of 12cm, the holes in the screen used are actually far far smaller than that. You also neglected to account for the higher frequency (and thus much shorter wavelength) of militarized microwave devices, which means the holes need to be substantially smaller as well. A general rule of thumb commonly used in electrical engineering is in order to fully block radiation at a particular frequency, any holes in the shielding should ideally be 1/50th (and no larger than 1/20th or so) of the wavelength. For frequencies in the 120 GHz range (which you mentioned earlier in the video), the typical door/window screening like you showed would have holes probably only about 1/4 of the wavelength, which is nowhere near that. It would reduce the power somewhat, but would definitely not come close to blocking it completely, and thus (particularly considering the extremely high power outputs reportedly used) probably should not be considered a fully protective measure.. One of the other things that is different between 2.5 GHz and 120 GHz is that the higher frequencies can be reflected off of far more surfaces much more strongly, which means that even if they are fired from a single location, they can actually potentially be reflected off of all manner of things all around the target, and hit from basically all directions, which was also not mentioned or really accounted for. So the differences are not simply a matter of scale, sometimes wavelength does matter too.
But he did mention some of these things, like reflected waveforms being more diffused and less dangerous. (Or else even operator side would be under danger). Also the energy used against masses are not gonna be strong enough to kill, just cause pain and surface burns, cutting it in half may help big time.
A continuous sheet of foil with a small screen window could minimize the amount of energy that gets through while still allowing for adequate visibility.
Do y'all know anyone who's possibly made a generator a steam generator using a microwave emitter or two you know the whole complex thing but to create enough energy from that energy to power that continuously in a closed system and possibly I don't know abused the laws of physics and thermodynamics I would be interested in reading or hearing or watching about a study done by such a thing

How does it defeat the protection of a GFCI?

We call cows "commander's checks" now... because if you kill one, the commander gets to write a check.

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to belittle you, as your English is surely far better than my German, just hoping to help. HTH, and HAND.

I've seen the military's old microwave (radar) suits before they were for technicians on the flight line and were a whole body suit that was a metalized nylon mesh and was deisgned to distribute the energy away from the body. It had a warning that there would be arcing and it could focus the energy into your armpits and crotch

Would it be possible to detect the small voltage on the shield and have maybe an LED light up to warn the holder that they are under active attack? I guess that raises the question of how do you detect when high amounts of energy are being beamed at you?
...this was going to be my next question! ...it was between that and asking the best de-weaponisation clothing to wear. 💪
Why not just strap a cheap fluorescent light onto the front of the shield? If it suddenly lights up, I'd say something is wrong...
The little neon glow lamps light when exposed to microwaves and are very cheap and small.

You could try to accomplish this by overlaying multiple layers of ordinary aluminum screen, especially if you place them at varying angles to each other.
would a fine mist of water block said wavelength?
@@cereusareoles9123 A fog would block it, but how are you to carry a fog machine with you on a protest. You would have to rely on the amount of water you carry with you.
I find it most interesting the tube seems to light up in 2-5 inch increments (hard to tell from this angle).
Microwave energy is ionizing which is quite damaging to organic material, especially eyes and testicles.
@@jeffreyyoung4104 Microwaves are classified as non-ionizing. So it is not particularly harmful compared to other types of non-ionizing radiation.
@UniversalExpanse What frequency is it working at?

Short answer is yes it can. Of course they are not going to say it in the video for obvious reasons, because it can be an extremely powerful weapon, especially if you are close to the mouth of the uwave cannon. I suppose that if you do that and injure someone, they will sue you.
@@duven60 parabolic mirror is it possible to direct the signal back to the user’s??
My thoughts exactly, such as, with the previous test of the acoustic area denial weapon.
Thank you for the excellent demonstration and how to mitigate effects of microwaves. I didn't know microwaves could be reflected back to the originator source.
Thank you kindly for all you teach . Much love and mad RESPECT for you fellow earthlings
Someone should make a shield that reflects the microwaves back to the person who is using the microwave weapon. You could have some sort of light on the shield to pinpoint where to direct the reflected microwaves.
Large parabolic dish with compact florescent bulb on nonferrous rod at center.
Could double as solar stove. ;-)
Yes...like a blanket to sleep under.
Yes
Thank you so much, the way things are going you never know what could save a life while being innocent of any wrong doing.
Very careful tackling the big issues here. Amazingly professional as always. This is the best content on the internet.
Yes I agree!
2 years ago I had to learn about Sound. Your Previous Video on your research including the room with no sound was Outstanding with all the sound absorbing materials to common household bat insulation, Perforated Tiles & of Armstrong Mineral (2'x4') in Sound waves in Rooms to eliminate reflecting unwanted wavelengths. Very very much Loved them ALL.
Thanks!
Use 3 reflectors at a right angle to make a corner reflector to send back the energy to the emitter. That could potentially damage it. Those using whose weapons will be bitten at their own game!
Absolutely wonderful video!!! The part on protection begins at 19:15 in case anyone needs some help finding it ^
Tnx .. im in a hurry / hope'd somone'd in4m that info.
Fantastic explanation! Thanks for presenting this in a factual manner that is easily consumed by the average person.
Thanks!
Thankyou so much, I really enjoy this type of information, as someone who’s sensitive to emf’s. I know there is clothing and hats made with metallic fibers for deflecting radiation, though most are pricy. I look forward to following your channel.
A couple of small corrections:
(minor) A half-wave rectifier does not double the frequency. A _full-wave_ rectifier would double the frequency, but also could not be used to increase the voltage. It's basically one or the other. (Doesn't really affect the rest of the description that much, though, which was otherwise reasonably good)
Electromagnetic waves definitely can pass through apertures smaller than their wavelength.
It's not the size but how you use it. Very informative correction.
But he did mention some of these things, like reflected waveforms being more diffused and less dangerous. (Or else even operator side would be under danger). Also the energy used against masses are not gonna be strong enough to kill, just cause pain and surface burns, cutting it in half may help big time.
And now I'm pondering (which is not to say advocating) retro-reflectors for 120 GHz stuff. 🤔
I feel like he is preparing us for something. That's why I save all the videos and others should too.
He is. It's coming to a city near you. He'll ilive in a rural neighborhood. Cooking me as we speak

@@opnavesea Yep and people have forgotten good old analog capture and reproduction techniques. YOU VIDEO Tape the screen for later use. OR even do a digital screen capture and export to safe area for holding. The horsepower in tech is certainly available to all these days, And more dilute less evolved places understand these classic principles based on simple life REALITY. The digital revolution only holds as much power as we are CONVINCED it has. For now at least... That actually makes we wonder if you could and what would happen can they make LCD unavailable to older capture methods. I also get a kick of how they have fooled the world into thinking the digital cloud in the sky in the end all when in fact it almost makes anything you can access open for grabs. In terms of music people have become so blindly convinced that the soul originating digital source is the end all, and when all they would have to do is capture with analog mic, wire-to-device, or whatever set up and have reproduction capability to control for yourself without becoming a slave to the matrix. Shit that would generate a usable sound quality better in some ways than we used in the 80's as the 8track died out. Still in someway reality lost to time due to the limitations of digitization of analog reality. WE ARE BEING TRICKED/ the expression used to be "believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear". Now its "believe nothing unless we tell you to"... Now step into that box over there and let us digitize your soul, capture it, and enslave you for eternity... Its downright demonic... And its a serious and real question is that a hell that we are already being subjected to unwittingly AKA THE MATRIX of sorts. Did you ever wonder if Fox Moulder's poster on that wall really meant. "I want to believe - that it isnt true"....
