I've been hoarding and buying Paper Pads with the intentions of using them. I have decided to finally create junk journals with a few of them. In this video I'm showing you my thought process as to how I will determine what to make.

I've had several questions about the size of the journals. The pages are 11 in wide and 8 1/4 tall. The journal covers are 9x12. I will be making 6 journals. I hope this helps. :)

Love using up an untouched pad- makes me feel like I bought if a reason and let it sit far too long but sometimes you really hate to cut into it LOL! Will love to see the finished journals.

I just started on my Minnie and Mickey journal I started to cut my papers that is a great idea to cut papers first

Hooray I have some pads and they are starring and laughing at me. Now,I know what to do with them after you finish your tutorial. So cool and great. Even though,I need to know how many papers and the measurement of each one? Can't wait for the next tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Many blessings.
Mara Concepción another viewer had those questions. Scroll down to Rae Boyd’s comments and I talked about the size and sheets. But your paper pad will be different with how many sheets you use, since they all have different cut apart pages. The size is also up to whatever size you like most. But scroll

I bought one online once, but I feel it is so heavy, not like normal paper, can these be used in journals. They have also picture/pattern on the back.

i am really excited about this. I made a recipe journal for myself and have spent 2 mos making tags and fabric ruffles and journaling cards and envelopes and I am ready to start with journals but no one seems to use paper pads and that's what I plan to sew belly bands and tucks and pockets to, because the other papers are too thin for that. so ive been in a slump for a few days now, and just go on collaging and making ruffles and whatever you call when you just stack fabric and lace and ribbon etc, its daunting and scary. so I am really looking forward to this! but you kind of skipped showing us how many papers from the paper pad you used in each signature. did you use 4 for each recipe journal? so only 2 in each signature? and you had 10 to make 2 journals but made 4 so again you only used 2 in each signature? and what size papers? are the covers folded in half for 6inches width or cut down? and cut to what height? watched it again and it doesnt look like you cut anything off the 12x12 paper cover so they are 12x6? papers 1 inch smaller?

So when they are folded they are 5 1/2 wide

My stash.. tracing paper , coffee dyed paper etc. use whatever you have. :)
@@CaraBrandonCreations thankyou for answering me! so you used 1 per from the paper pad as your first inside the cover and 1 more in each signature? you have 8 signatures and started with like 10 and 10 so no, you dont even have 2 in each signature. so what are you going to glue or sew pockets etc to? arent the coffee stained and others too thin? oh, I need to watch again to see the weight of the papers in your paper pad. you are motivating me to go back out and put together some pages. I really needed this help. thankyou!
