Enjoyed the first part of this restoration. Reminds me of my dad's '77 F100 Custom he had when I was a kid.

Once again, it's nice to watch you do your thing with this truck. I am still doing my inner and outer rocker job. I have been sidetracked with neutralizing rust using POR15 on my frame. I have to make flanges for my inner rockers at the floor. The factory used 22 guage so there wasn't much left. Why is it that weld-thru primer isn't available off the shelf? CTC - no, Napa (here) - no. I guess living outside a small town has its drawbacks. I had to order it through Amazon only to wait 2 weeks for it. Watching you work motivates me to move ahead with my project. Too bad I can't do the phooooooooooo! Thanks.

I’m surprised weld through primer is difficult to get. I live in a smaller town as well, but I guess if they don’t have the demand, they don’t stock it. Glad the videos help, and provide a little motivation 👊🏼

I neutralized my rust with water diluted phosphoric acid with a bit of ethyl alcohol. It took about a day for it to do its work. I sprayed the POR 15 with a 5% dilution with epoxy thinner. I didn't have the time to do the brush-on. The stuff is nasty and doesn't clean up very easily.

Yes, I usually put in some reducer as well, and yes, it definitely makes a mess! Also be sure to super clean the top of the can before putting the lid on, or you have to cut it open next time 😉

Think this may be the longest video you have ever put out and it took me two days to watch, but that's fine because I know that is a lot of work for a one man show ? Been there done that !

Indeed, I wanted to try to get the whole job in one video, but it would have been way too long, hopefully have part 2 out fairly soon 👍🏼
