What a joke, Audeze sends instant replacements out for RUclipsrs, but regular customers have been waiting for MONTHS to get a replacement due to their bad QC and headsets having issues. Shame on you Audeze!
Audeze support is a joke so far.. I’m pretty certain there are inconsistencies with my headset between left and right and they basically just insisted that it’s not possible for my unit to be defective…
I'm on my second Audeze Maxwell (first got replaced due to faulty ear cup). Guess what? The left ear cup gave up on me too! 😂 horrible QC from Audeze, buyer beware. Good sounding headphones, shitty QC
I wish they/HyperX sent me free superglue and graphite every time I attempted to fix mine cracking. I'd have paid for the complete cost of the headphones if I had shipped it my own pocket.
This company is stand tall. I bought the audeze penrose off Amazon. About year and half 2 years go by and the war piece breaks off. I emailed audeze before pulling the trigger on just buying a new headset since I spent 300 I figured it was worth a try. Glad I did. Audeze sent me a new pair of the new maxwell to replace them. Great company and the headphones sound is like no other.
Audeze mobius broke on me four times, my friend had a Penrose and broke too. Now the supposed metal headband Maxwell is also breaking . Audeze needs to change their stupid headband design on their gaming head sets
You got a pair but the rest of us would get jack... The Audeze Penrose X customer service is non existent!!! There build quality is junk! Don't waste your cash!
My maxwells just shipped and gots me worried a $300 headset thats not gonna hold up. I also have the g pro x2 and they're very comfortable and nice tho.
They sound amazing. For me, the accurate bass was truly something awesome. However, not trusting your headset to last when you paid over 300 USD for it? Not excusable at all. Sorry Audeze. Fix the design and I might consider another headset. Until then later.
I'm glad they took care of you; that was definitely a manufacturing defect. BTW, you should look into a different headband for it. Wicken Cushions make great replacement cushions, and last I knew they were making a replacement headband too. Maybe that headband will have more stretch and not place so much pressure on those points where the headphones are joined to the headband?
Have had stel series in like 6 years now have used them daily and they are still working but I wanted to switch up to something better but now I’m happy I didn’t spend my money on this bad quality thnx m8 u deserve my follow now
My Audeze Maxwells (Playstation version) have just done that exact same thing except on both sides! For SUCH an expensive headset the build quality is pathetic. I'm just about to contact the guys that sold it to me and figure out what the procedure is.
So if we buy this headset do we have to not use them? Can we use them every day or are they guaranteed to break if we use them every day to play video games?
I think most people will be fine, but if you use them daily on their tightest setting, I think them breaking is inevitable. Even if you're really gentle. Audeze says they've fixed the issue if you care to take their word for it: www.reddit.com/r/Audeze/comments/14q6c0x/comment/jqwpppa/?context=3

Stay away from the Stealth 600/700. I have had 2 of them break within 6 months. I personally don’t buy gaming headsets anymore because they break. I use a Sennheiser Momentum 3 over the ear headset. It has replaceable sheepskin ear cups and a metal band. I pair to to the PS5, Switch and PC with a Creative Labs BT-W3 for AptX LL. They also work great without a dongle on the PC and phone. Maybe look in that direction and talk about the shortcomings of gamer headsets in the video. Also: Dolby Atmos is really impressive on them. Extremely well balanced headphones when set to the flat eq. IMO they are better than the newer 4’s that came out.

I think the thing that is hard to guage is what percentage of the headsets are having build problems. Its that that bittersweet thing where if something you have purchased is Great, you are a lot less likely to post a review/comment/video about your experience, just because in most cases we are so busy with our lives at the best of times, whereas if you have paid good money and something is wrong, then rightly you have a huge desire to talk about that And/or mainly you want the problem to be resolved as it should be. Because its a new release its hard to know if this is a big build issue or select units out of batches of hundred/thousands that have problems.
So now we wait to see if this one also breaks, if that is so it's honestly embarrassing. Dude I have an old 90€ akg set that is almost 10 years old and the earcups somehow are still attached to the rest, must be some magical engineering!
