    Been able to catch up on my shake and bake content! Glad I caught this one. I'll say the obvious 6.4 displacement is bigger there's more power that could be had over a 5.7 for sure.....For some reason I feel like there's still a little bit more the 5.7 can do that was left on the table before you swapped to the 6.4
    like three pedal Jay said we're gonna keep things going for the RT guys 💪
    * for those reading Id like to add the motive for my build is to see what the 5.7 platform maxed out can do, i'm not trying to have the fastest challenger

    I have a 2016 5.7 RT shaker, 6 speed manual.
    The build only started when I got the hemi tick and a lifter was failing. And Of course the warranty had expired.
    Added a Texas speed stage 3 cam kit with hellcat lifters. While I was at it I did headers, Flowmaster exhaust, and the shop did a great tune on it.
    It runs and sounds awesome. Made 420 to the rear wheels.
    Wasn’t gonna touch it, but man I’m glad I did.

    The stand out difference between the two are the heads, 5.7 heads flow like 269 cfm versus the apache 6.4 340 cfm. That's a huge increase in flow and it's even amplified on boosted applications. The next thing that stands out is the strength of the BGE block, 5.7 tend to have cyclinder wall strength issues where the BGE does'nt. My son had his 5.7 block filled to help strengthen the walls to handle his twin turbo setup. At the end of the day, the 6.4 platform is just better. Was a very good move stepping up to the 6.4!

      @@ModernRedHemi I know I watch your channel a lot. It’s like you said, a Scat just wasn’t in the books for me right now, I do well but I live well within my means. Besides, I REALLY don’t feel that a 110 more HP on this platform isn’t worth the 10-15k more price tag, AND the much higher insurance premium than its competitors. We also have a '23 Chrysler 300C SRT limited production car that has the 6.4 hemi, it's in a whole different league! It hauls some serious ass!

Making 30 psi with twin 88/96mm and a nos spool jet

    i have an rt plus but am considering upgrading to a scatpack before modding. ive heard the 5.7 can safely handle 500-550hp, but how much can the scat handle? what would I need to do to the 6.4L in order to run more than 5psi of boost? is it just forging the rods+pistons in order to get more boost safely? i keep hearing online that the 6.4 doesnt handle boost very well, long term goal with the build is to whipple supercharge it at 12psi boost, any suggestions for a newbie?

    • @ModernRedHemi
      @ModernRedHemi  10 дней назад +1

      The 5.7 can handle way more than that. We pushed over 900 on the stock bottom end and ran 9s. The 6.4, all you need is some drop ins and a cam and the sky is the limit. I just ran several 8s on that set up. It’s the stock pistons that hold the 6.4 back, once forged you’re good. 💪

    I wish I saw this video back in april lol it's too late now though. Anyways, I'm looking up on suspension components. I'm going to redo most of it since it's pretty worn out now (2015 rt), but I'm not sure which sway bars or springs to get. My biggest issue is with the springs though, the only performance orientated springs lower the car. Does anyone know if there're some that leave the height alone? ..I added widebody wheels in the back & had to cut my fenders to make em fit. So if it went any lower, I'm pretty sure I'll be rubbing after hitting any bumps in the road. thanks for continuing to educate us btw
