Edit/Update: The sync issue in Reaper has been fixed. Thanks guys! There's an issue with the sequencer playing by midi trigger in Reaper (6.63). It is not syncing correctly, and sometimes doesn't change at all with tempo changes. The drag-n-drop feature makes this less of an issue, because the midi works normally after added to the timeline, but when testing out ideas, using only single-key triggers it's not working correctly. It works perfectly in Ableton 10.

This is a great upgrade. InstaChord has been collecting dust on my plugin folder for a while now, but I think this could even replace PhraseBox for me. It's nice to see the AI features from InstaComposer pop up in other plugins as well. Will there ever be a similar update for InstaComposer? Being able to use modes and other scales, switch between multiple patterns in one plugin instance, and drag-and-drop chords from Scaler 2 into InstaComposer would really magnify its usefulness and help me recommend it more.
Interesting Tool, what about chrods played with two hands like 8 notes at the same time or arp over two octaves - I think 8 notes in sequencer would be better.. or even 10
Where is the installation and where to find it video? The written instructions for the Mac don't seem to work. Doesn't matter what this plugin is supposed to do if the user can't install or find it.
I couldn't try the demo because of Windows SmartScreen Filter: "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." I was hoping to see this demo before the sale ends. I've got Cakewalk by Bandlabs and that DAW isn't in the approved list... so I want to TEST before buying.
used it for two days and made 4 complete songs....ISSUES: 1. WONT EXPORT FULL MIDI, CANNOT SEQUENCE SECTIONS. i have to drag and drop each individual midi part out of the vst. you can try to record the midi on the fly but its not good, youd need to mark the keys you need to press and since quantize does nothing inrreaper this didnt work for me at all 2.MINIMAL PATTERNS, NO AUTO GENERATE FEATURE. all 4 songs i made sound very similar due to the extremley limited number of variations the vst comes with. i beleive they want you to buy expansions packs. 3.LOTS OF USELESS BUTTONS THAT DO NOTHING.theres an auto generate chord sequence button but once it shows you the chords it does nothing, they dont get moved to your pattern or anything they just sit there. if you want to change your chords to the ones generated you do it one at a time. 3.HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE HOST VST WHEN TRIGGER CHORDS. slightly annoying and throws you off when making changes 4.HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY MUTE AND UNMUTE/SOLO UNSOLO BECAUSE MIDI IN YOUR DAW WILL TRIGGER THE VST RESULTING IN GARBAGE SOUNDS.couldnt figure out why the playbacked audio sucked so bad, the midi was triggering the vst. interesting that you can program midi to trigger the vst which would then make it automatically change chords and patterns but youd have to route it in an insane way so that the track wasnt recording your output midi over the input midi

Hi Laurent, yes it is a MIDI effect plugin so it needs to be connected to another instrument/synth and does not produce sound on its own. And yes, you can easily drag/export the MIDI into your DAW :)
That's what it needed, more than any of the other features. Being able to build up your patterns, then drag midi to the DAW is in most other plugins. I have InstaChord 1, and I don't use it anymore, and this is the main reason why. I'd upgrade and use it if they'd add this feature.

This legit does not work for me. I am familiar with instachord 1 and wanted to give 2 a shot to use the drag midi feature but it just straight up does not play the chords/actions most of the time. Worst plugin ive ever bought for it does literally nothing lol

Not impressed. Nice though. I wanted to see just regular triad or dyad (with the option to make it 7th or 9th etcetera) chords with correct bass notes for each chord that we can drag and drop into our projects. How we normally would build a track from scratch. Only then manipulating the chords into Arps and sequences and all of that. What would be cool is if we could trigger Arps and sequences from Intsachord and have it replicate this action simultaneously with (after it's been dragged and dropped) the midi in said chosen DAW. So, as I build out my progression if I want to spice up individual chords I can do so while building my song out.
Now I can actually use InstaChord. I always struggled with the former version but this is a perfect upgrade.

not at this time, but you can drag MIDI into your DAW and adjust to your liking.

How do we import chords? like from cthulhu for example.
You can create your own custom chords. It is currently not possible to drag and drop MIDI files into InstaChord 2.
Add manually or by midi. I suggest by midi u can just click em in. A tad bit tedious!
