I worked with Rob's mother Louise at a department store in Methuen Massachusetts called Ann @ Hope. She worked in the Health and Beauty Aids Department. She was so nice and always talked about their early life in the carnival industry. She brought Rob in early, before the store opened, one day because Power Ranger toys had just come out and he collected them. I didn't believe her until that day.

They broke up because it had “run it’s course.” They’ve been together since 1985. The drummer left and everyone was just done. Weird connections, on Rob Zombie's first solo album Tommy Lee, of Motley Crue, guested on two songs. Rob's current, until a few weeks ago that is, guitarist John 5 has now joined Motley Crue, to take over for Mick Mars, on the tour. Another one, the first song he wrote, for his solo career, Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn) was written and performed with Alice Cooper and nominated for Grammy. Rob is now on tour with Alice Cooper.

Loved this blend of horror, 60s vibe and hard rock. Came at exactly the right time with this formula to save me from Grunge.

Back in the 90's as a production artist at a print shop, I worked on Rob Zombie's graphic designer business card. It was a b/w drawing which I had to extend for bleeds. I knew who White Zombie was from Beavis and Butthead (who kinda made WZ famous for riffing this video) but they still weren't huge. Looked like he was keeping Plan B going just in case the band thing didn't fly. Then I learned of his art skills and that he did the animation for Butthole Surfers' Who The Hell Was In My Room? Wish I had req'd a printed copy when they were done. Then in the early 00's when my buddy moved to LA to do stand-up and act, he was standing at the bar in a club during the day, trying to hook up a standup slot, when he felt someone walk up beside him. Rob. With his "old lady". Just chillin'.

La Sexorsito and Electric Head were their own thing. They had a funk groove metal thing going that they did better than anyone else. Pantera had some good groove songs, but every early zombie song was pretty much on point. I still listen to those two albums with no skips.

When he became Rob Zombie, after breaking up with his gf in the band, he became neutered musically.
    White Zombie will always rule!

Rob Straker (later Zombie) formed White Zombie in 1985 and was actually a Noise Rock band (3 EP's and 1 album) and later changed to this heavier style on La Sexorcisto : Devil Music Vol 1.
They continued with Astrocreep 2000 (1995) and blew-up with fame. (They would actually play White Zombie at bars and dance clubs)
Rob decided to kill White Zombie and tour as Rob Zombie instead, fired the band, and (allegedly) released White Zombie's last album as HIS first album. (Hellbilly Deluxe in 1998)

White zombie first album was pig heaven, it came out in 86. More of punk rock album. He only produced 500 vinyls. He still has about 300 in storage. This album took the world by surprise! My favorite was astro creep 2000. From what I remember rob met sherry at a bar show when he was still white zombie but not big yet. They became inseparable just like Wayne static and Tera wrey were.

@@KenBober as a full album I guess sinister urge was great too but I agree the newer stuff has one or two really good singles per album, the rest of the tracks are too "experimental" for me to like...BTW try the EP God of thunder of white zombie not the rob zombie live with supergroup EP is better
