Rob Zombie said this about his musical philosophy: "If strippers can't dance to it, what good is it?"
Pole don't lie
No lie. We did a bachelors party in my buddies basement where I was spinning the tunes.
Set list artists: White Zombie, Rob Zombie, Pantera and RATM.
The dancers loved it and so did the victim who was getting married the following week.
@@michaeljamrozy4299 pole never lie 😂
The entire "La Sexorcisto" album is the musical like a grade B horror flick in musical form. Just as Rob Zombie intended. Great soundtrack for the Halloween season.
It's more like a Grade A+ wrapped with a B all over. Musically its wonderful, clever and unique. Every song on that albums is awesome.
It's still the BEST album he ever put out.
I wish Rob would get bk with White Zombie. Those were GREAT TIMES bk in the day
What are you even doing here?
Are you trying to “all bleed red”?
You’re weak. We don’t need these people’s opinion on our music.
If it's the album with iggy pop . I always heard it like a creep show comic book. That's the fun thing to each there own
The lyrics are whatever, but the song has one of the best beats, and grooves in metal. That bass riff ❤️❤️
The drummer on La Sexorcisto was Ivan de Prume; I LOVE his drumming on this album. He’s way groovier than John Tempesta, in my opinion. As far as I’m concerned, Ivan de Prume is the best drummer White Zombie ever had.
The bass riff was lit!
I'd disagree and say the lyrics got some swag to them.
It’s like if heavy metal and Funk had a baby
The bass mimics the guitar 99 percent of the time though?
This song I VAGUELY about the movie “Faster Pussycat KILL KILL!” But Howard stern once asked him about his lyrics and Rob said “It doesn’t matter if they make sense, as long as it SOUNDS cool!”
Think he has pretty much the same philosophy with his movies: doesn't matter if they make sense, as long as they look cool. Or something along those lines. ;)
And he definitely did that !!!
Nobody knows what it means, but it's provocative! It gets people going!
give "More Human Than Human" ago the distorted slide guitar on the main riff is AWESOME !
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head Yeeeep!
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head it’s not a white zombie song if you don’t hear any moaning 😂
Y'all need to understand that a metric shit ton of Rock music has lyrics meant to be interpreted by YOU the listener. Lots of these songs don't have a word for word literal message.
" i don't try anything. I just do it! Wanna try me?" Love that line
Hey hey hey "stop stealing my moves".
Great movie!
From the movie "Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill".
SAME!!! ❤
I know it has become kind of your thing, but I assure you the lyric breakdown of every song will not always yield some manner of understanding. Most great songs are as much about a feel or vibe, maybe a catchy chorus, noting more. Don't get too caught up in the message. If you can show a performance, all the better. "Thunderkiss" is a personal favorite, one that I have listened to hundreds of times and I still have no idea what it is "about".
Yeah, it's just imagery, it's not supposed to make too much sense.
I love this song because I can’t understand what he’s saying lol
Same!!
I don't think Rob Zombie ever really thinks or cares too much for lyrical content.... he's definitely more of a vibe. I am big on lyrics, but I absolutely love Rob Zombie and hie general vibe... sooo much energy, it's contagious
Yeah. Sometimes with great metal songs I don’t want to know the exact lyrics. Let your mind fill in the blanks.
Cadence
Lexi is correct. A 65 Mustang. He also references the movie Faster Pussycat Kill Kill which influenced his movie making. Black Sunshine is also about his 65 Mustang and more apparent in the lyrics.
I mean, most Rob/ White Zombie songs are perfect for October, but you should definitely check out Living Dead Girl and Spookshow Baby before Halloween ;)
I agree with that!
I agree LIVING DEAD GIRL!!!!!
Yup
It's just the year he was born. He was singing about himself.
Exactly. Duh
I've been a fan for almost 30 years and still don't know what the hell Rob is talking about, but it doesn't matter. It sounds good. Sometimes you've gotta get out of your own head and just celebrate being in the moment!
White Zombie was my first real concert. Badass is an understatement. Saw them in total of 5 times. Those were the days 🤩
Rob Zombie is a badass singer, has some crazy tones for his vocals. His debut album Hellbilly Deluxe is still the best he's done
I think the last White Zombie, Astro Creep was better.
@@themetalpig7613 I was referring to his solo work
@@vinniedixon1140 ah okay. I agree then. Second album had a few good songs. But since those first 2 solo albums I've barely gotten into his stuff except the odd song here and there.
Nothing he's done solo has topped Astro Creep 2000. I miss White Zombie.
in the studio, definitely. also great live if you like him dropping half of each line because he has no stamina.
This song packed the dance floor at the clubs every single time it was played. I miss those days.
I always interpreted this song as the yr he was born. 1-12-65. Listen to the lyrics with this thought in your head and his serious infatuation with old school horror. It is a game changer for the interpretation in my opinion
For all those who think the lyrics are random nonsense... It's actually a take on, a homage, you could say, to a 1965 movie titled "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!", in which three go-go dancers go on a killing/kidnapping/robbing spree in the desert. Lex wasn't far off about the car thing, since the girls like to drive fast.
Won't tell you the plot in case someone here gets in a mood for a 60s cult film, but it's actually a bit more interesting than my quick summary makes it sound, inasmuch just about most characters (not just the girls) are their own kind of twisted and there's no "good guy", in the end. Definitely an antihero movie.
This the original line up,,before the drummer died,,,RIP man...🤘
There is a moment, in almost all your metal/rock reactions, when Lex "gets it". She can't explain it, she can't describe it, but you see it on her face. She is a natural born metal head, and never knew it until you two started this channel. And that makes me smile. The moment when you "get it". AWESOME. LOVE Y'ALL
NAILED IT! I swear she was a goth/metalhead in a previous life, you can see she understands what the vibe is about. Brad usually seems a bit more skeptical of Metal songs.
To be realistic, she looks fake in general
Man that song grooves heavy! Love it. One of my favs for about a year and played it on my college radio show in 1990s. Good workout song too. Thanks White Zombie and Brad & Lex.
Their song “more human than human“ blew my mind when I first heard it.
I love the monster bass tone in their music. Bass guitar is very prevalent.
Especially on Black Sunshine.
That bassist is a woman if you didn't know
@@dionshare7103 Oh yes, Sean Yseult. I've always know that. I always have to look up the spelling though.
@@jimbodavis1944 Yeah the bass is busier on that one, but I'm referring more to the bess level in the mix. Very dominant, it's perfect, it drives the music.
My Man Brad: You have to understand that when you're dealing with hard rock /metal songs...sometimes the lyrics aren't the most important thing....
Exactly! Devil horns up and bang your head. It’s that simple!
Yeah this is a good point, sometimes the lyrics are deep and thought provoking (which surprises non-metal lovers), and sometimes they're just there as some singing over the top of a killer groove or intricate playing.
Brad you are thinking too much about it. Just fucking enjoy the music!
Their best album. I had this album and especially this song on repeat constantly back in the day. Also Rob Zombie at his best and back when his vocals we're great. Definitely do more songs from this album like Black Sunshine and Soul Crusher.
It’s October and I’m telling y’all you need to checkout King Diamond
GGGGRRRRRAAAAAANNNNNDDDDDMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
😂
Perfect Halloween stream!
@@adams9586 LET ME HELP YOU, OUT OF THE CHAIR, G-G-GRANDMA
I love KD and Mercyful Fate but I have a gut feeling they ain't gonna love KDs vocals lol
White Zombie: La Sexorcisto is a masterpiece. Best thing Rob Zombie has ever done imho.
Great album but I think he's a better director than musician
I couldn’t agree more, La Sexorcisto is the album that turned me off of classic rock and into metal.
OHHHH MANNN, I've been waiting for some White Zombie!!! Glad you guys covered this, Can't wait for more White Zombie.
From:
DETROIT
MICHIGAN
I REMEMBER THE FIST DAY THIS CAME OUT!!!
His, Demeanor, voice, sounds were on the NEXT Level at that time!!!
I honestly could not sit down listening to that!!!
It makes you want to jump, hit something, not negatively just posed so much RAW Energy!!!
Loved, and still love it!!!
The Original WHITE ZOMBIE!!!
I remember Dimbag Darrel always wore his White zombie T back in THE DAY!!!
¡Love n RESPECT!
THIS!🙌🏻💜
Dragula was the name of the "vehicle" from the show "The Munsters".
Thank you both for doing this, I know myself and others were recommending it, i just really enjoy the channel and wanted to share a song off an album that changed my life lol. Thank you again, it meant a lot to me to be able to check out White Zombie with some of my favorite reactors!
Love White Zombie. Great live show also. Saw them in 1992 with Kyuss and Danzig. And then in 1996 with Pantera and Eyehategod.
I too saw them with Pantera, Eyehategod and Nerousis. 🙌🏽
Nice! I missed the Kyuss(my favorite band) tour, but saw Zombie with Sepultura and Pantera. Such a great show!
@@BronzDano man, u got to see Nuerosis live!? I would have loved to. What record was the tour for?
I too saw PanterA, White Zombie, and Eyehategod. I've also seen PanterA with Biohazard, and Neurosis. PanterA, Soulfly, Morbid Angel, and Nothingface. And PanterA, Clutch, and Soilent Green.
Saw them with Pantera and Korn later on... Can't wait to see them AGAIN!!!
Having flashbacks to watching ECW.
"oh my GOD!!!"
Can't wait to see Brad's face trying to make sense of Rob Zombie's lyrics. It's almost always nonsense horror vocabulary.
This album is killer as well, and White Zombie is much better than the stuff Rob has made solo.
One of the best bands of the 90's!
Especially Astro Creep 2000
I personally love White Zombie over Rob Zombie's solo stuff
@@maroonknightCC Yeah, me too. When I was 6 years old, my uncle played Cowboys from hell by Pantera, Bleach by Nirvana and La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One to me. And I was fucking blown away.
I’ve always loved this song, but have never ever known the lyrics besides 1965 5 5….haha
I remember going to this concert with four of my buddies in a 2 door sedan, head banging to this so much the car was jerking back and fourth. Got to the concert and fell in love with Sean head banging and jammin' that bass. She Rocks.
I love that line "I never try anything I just do it.........wanna try me"
This is the only White Zombie album I ever got into. The stars were aligned just right.
Underrepresented group. Rob's solo stuff is good, too, White Zombie definitely heavier. Rob has a collection of covers that surprises people (e.g. "We're An American Band," "Brick House," "Helter Skelter," "Sweet Home Alabama," etc.) and is known to use a lot of horns. And don't be surprised, but many songs are incomplete without a woman moaning at some point in them for no apparent reason...humorous after confusion settles.
I used to love freaking out my non-metal friends in high school by just casually speaking a White Zombie lyric in the middle of a normal conversation. The look on their faces was priceless!
Never knew what’s going on in the song but I love this song!! Makes me wanna dance and is my favorite Rob Zombie song!!!
White Zombie was great, saw them twice! Once with the Ramones and once with Pantera!🤘
Soul-Crusher is a great White Zombie song! Great reaction!
Everything Rob Zombie touches is gold. You need to check out his films! He makes the best horror flix!! Excellent reaction, as always.
Rob Zombie's lyrics make a lot of sense ... to him! lmao! Generally he writes about doing something fast, crazy and/or dangerous so you can safely assume it's usually something to do with that.
His thinking is on a very different level which is part of his appeal.
Ahh! The beautiful Funk Metal of yesteryear.
That album was legendary back in the day.
Man i was just listening to this song yesterday and had wondered if you guys had reacted to it, come to find it in my queue today, beautiful!!
I heard this song back in the day...and it was, a breath of fresh air. So many over done metal songs. Zombie crushed forward!!!
More human than Human sounds like gibberish.😂🤣.
White Zombie is my favorite Rob Zombie project. I enjoy his solo stuff but there's something so raw about White Zombie I've never been able to put my finger on that just does it for me. I saw Rob in 1999 where he played this for the encore and just because doing that wasn't awesome enough he brought out Kerry King from Slayer on guitar to make this bone crunching riff even crunchier.
But I'd be remiss if I didn't suggest White Zombie - I Am Hell!
OMG I love you guys for doing this! I seen them live over 20 years ago with Pantera. They are amazing. Just brought back a lot of good memories. So cool you guys checked this out. Check out Black Sunshine. Same album Amazing song
I saw White Zombie around '98 at Arco Arena and Pantera was also playing. I got to go backstage and my friend and I took a picture with Dimebag. I'm so grateful for the Internet because I lost the picture but this girl that my friend knows still had it and sent it to my friend on Facebook, and then he sent it to me.
Did y'all do More Human than Human yet?
Ya might like it, has more of a Zombie ballad feel
Always love dancing to this song at the clubs!! I never could understand the words either but it was a great song to dance to. Now that I have read the words with you too, I would have guessed it was about his motorcycle with the old saying....cash, grass, or ass no free rides meeting up with a beautiful female motorcycle cop!! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rob Zombie is very unique as an artist. His little brother's band Powerman 5000 had a very similar sound and "bombshell" is still on my playlist. Good one to react to Brad & Lex 👍
Been listening to zombie for like 30 yrs... still don't "understand it" but def still "feel it"... and for me that is the understanding of it
One thing to remember About metal is that similarly to Eminem, the singer may be voicing several characters in a single song. Some songs are a conversation. Typically between some sort of protagonist and antagonist.
I love Rob Zombie Great musician Director and actor
Live this man has so much energy he does not stop and always goes out into the audience. Love the movies he has made, course I'm a big Horror fan as he is. Can't wait for his Munsters Movie to come out.
yeah always goes out into the audience, i saw him several times, and one of those times we were up front and he came up close to us and a bunch of people went over close as did i, and i didnt realize how close i actually was and i threw up the devil horns and accidentally stuck my index finger in his armpit lol and he imediately grabbed my hand and threw it away without breaking a note. if rob reads this i wasnt intentionally trying to tickle your pits.
From what I remember, this was about some weird murderous stripper movie that came out in 1965. Not sure how true it is, but that was our urban myth back when it came out.
Love Rob Zombie, he made music for strippers with a little bit of a spirit of Halloween . My favorite from this album was I Am Legend, it's a bad ass song that starts slow and grabs your attention. Thanks for doing some Rob Zombie, much appreciated!
Halloween Strippers????.......😍🤩🤘🤘
@@joshkyb3388 Halloween Strippers, they're scary good
The entire album La Sexorcisto is about classic horror movies from the 60's and campy movies, like Barbarella. All of the female lines in this song are from Barbarella, a crazy movie starting Jane Fonda. This song is a tribute to a cult classic move from 1965 called Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! Kill!
My son listened to this entire album... from the womb- literally.
He's 24 now & is still a Rob Zombie fan.
He's tellin a story about a car.
Excellent choice!
The lead singer of Powerman 5000 is also Rob Zombie's brother 😊 check em out. They are also pretty awesome. I've seen both bands live, and I was impressed by both.
Not many of his songs make much sense to me but I love them all!! I'm a huge Zombie fan!! Its just about feeling & hearing the music!! ❤ y'all!!
While you are checking out 90's industrial metal you should check out Ministry. Thieves, Just One Fix, Stigmata or Jesus Built My Hotrod are all good tracks.
It's awesome to watch you two groove to the music and just enjoy it.
This was my first c.d. still have it. This song was the one that made me buy it. They were a unique sound for the early 90's.
That laugh.... love your work guys
Old white grandma from NC here! I love you guys!
So good!! Love White Zombie! 💚💜
Manson and Zombie toured together in 2018. Manson bitched out in Toronto after they had set up the stage for him. Zombie played for over two hours to make up for it, including covering Sweet Dreams and Beautiful People. It was absolutely amazing.
1965 was the year demon Zombie was born - PEACE LOVE n HIPPYNESS!
Yeah...read somewhere that it was about his birth
you can tell, She really feels the music, all music. That's tight.
I love their power, their drive, their rhythm. Lex is getting it :)
RZ music is just fun and doesn't always have meaning behind it. His whole Hellbilly Deluxe album is perfect for Halloween lol
I'm a huge White/Rob Zombie fan. Seen him multiple times and met him once. Legend!
Rob Zombie lyrics: muddied mix of cars, horror, nonsense. As long as it sounds cool!
This song gain MAJOR attraction and shot up the charts after being on an episode of 'Beavis & Butthead'.
According to them, 'This song rulz!'
My late friend Phil was the drummer for White Zombie. RIP Brother
Welp... now you have to do Psycholohic Slag and Black Sunshine... enjoy!!
HI!!!!
Welcome!
We've been waiting for ya! 😎😈💯
I can play this album front to back, back to front allday. Not a bad song on there! Groove Metal with great riffs and killer drums. Its horror inspired lyrics and sound effects are great for halloween.
I had the hugest crush on the bass player when I was younger and I'm sure every other lil metal head boy did too 🤘
One of the best stage performers I’ve ever seen aside from Pantera
GREAT ALBUM 👍 From start to finish. I've been a fan since I 1st heard TK'65 on Beavis and Butthead.
Should check out White Zombie - More Human Than Human and or LA RATS - I’ve Been Everywhere. LA Rats is a metal supergroup (Rob Zombie along with Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, one of the drummers of Black Sabbath and the guitarist from Marilyn Manson)
Guitarist is John 5. An incredible guitarist in his own right.
I heard this on the radio a few days ago, I thought it sounded like Rob, then they said LARATS - glad u cleared that up for me, cool song, but I prefer the Hank Snow version(1962)
Yeah I love the original but there are some older songs that work really well as hard rock/metal covers if done properly. Godsmacks Come Together is one of them.
@@jeknechtphotography7106 I like Hank because I grew up on it - Godsmack also has a nice cover of "Good Times, Bad Times"
He is a big horror fan and it has a big influence on his music along with the fact he has made several horror films
Great series on both franchises
the demon warp is comin alive in 1965,5,5. la sexorcisto has been one of my favorite metal albums since first release \m/ fun fact- check out pm5k(powerman 5000) when worlds collide. vox(vocals) spider one is rob zombie's brother
Been a fan since 94, white and Rob zombie music is great for October.
He has an effect on his voice that makes it difficult to understand. He makes a lot of references to the 60s and 70s. Also, the term for the way someone delivers their lyrics is called vocal phrasing.
I liked White Zombie but wasn't a huge fan of Rob Zombie until he started making films. Amazing director!
The lead singer, Rob Zombie, worked on the set of Pee Wee Herman Show, now he writes and directs his own horror movies as well as the 2007 remake of Halloween.
That is so cool she said it was about a car. My dad is finishing a turbo charged LS, 1965 elcamino. I like to think this song is about it.
GROOVY is the word you're looking for!
This whole album is just one of the best out there. You should check out Black Sunshine, Thrust, and welcome to planet mother f'er from this album as well.
Livin' fast and dying young is like an endless poetry,,,,,😎
It seems half of his songs are about cars and the other half are movie related, usually horror. He's a great musician, is a super nice and down to earth guy, and he puts on one of THE best concerts. For my money, Never Gonna Stop Me is his underrated best and my personal favorite song of his.
Welcome to 90’s Groove Metal‼️💯🔥 Great Reaction‼️ La Sexorcisto definitely a true bench mark in this genre‼️💯🤯 More White Zombie and Rob’s solo projects‼️Brad forget about making sense of lyrics‼️If Sounds Great Just Groove To It‼️💯🔥🧨💃🏼🤯
They came through Austin 3 times for La Sexercisto, nobody 1st show and 3/4 full for the 2nd one, and more people than should have been in a space that size for the last one. They blew up as quick as GNR, but that only lasted a couple of years before it leveled off.
In just seen them last weekend at dte music theater in Michigan .what a blast it was !!! Keep on jamming guy's your doing great.
I always thought "the demon warp is coming alive" part meant that he or someone else was opening a portal to let demons cross over to earth and take over or something of that nature. Maybe that's just silly. I've always been a big fan though
