Hey! Just to let you know you can train strength really fast by overloading your character and carrying a dead body while using martial arts. The exp rate stays around 80-90% as long as your encumbrance is topped out.
Eh, base game exp game. Maybe for the first 20 levels. With x2 exp mod, for the first 35 levels, 5x goes to 50 easily... Just don't want to spend hours leveling up. Especially when a minute in game is a second real life time.
bandits and band of bones are easy to recruit on the recruit prisoner mod. you have to have food inventory for bandits and for bones i think you just have to be stronger. i haven't been able to recruit a paladin yet tho. the ninjas you just have to say the right dialogue and get a lucky roll
also it's capped at 60 strength and gets really slow after like 45 so resorting to the 150% walk xp with overloading is still better but this way you can train without babysitting or microing
I found this game and thought it was amazing alone, but only some of the mechanics bothered me. Now I just found out there are mods that fix/help these exact mechanics 😍
Regarding the weight bench and dexterity mod, it's fairly easy to copy the mod from the steam workshop directory into the kenshi mods directory then use the kenshi creation kit (I forget the actual name of the .exe) to change its max effect to something lower that, player preference, that isn't cheaty. It's entirely reasonable that if you have your own militia you'd have a workout regimen for new recruits (ie, a more realistic version of manually running dudes around with ore filled bags. I chose weight bench over mining strength mod because I work out, so I can relate and also have control over people getting stronger without adding an economic benefit. But, getting stronger from mining definitely makes sense.
Great video and gave me couple of ideas for my future playthrough! One mod that I can never seem to live without is the 3x attack slots one, even for solo. It just makes the combat feel a lot more natural. Also Neko's clothing overhaul is great for variety, especially early game. And as a big fan of the shek, I really liked Shek Bandits Reimagined and Shek Ranch and Hunters.
3x Attack Slots is a great mod! I was considering downloading it myself, though I was worried it might make the game too difficult. I hear that with said mod it really pays to outnumber your opponents!
@@TheStreetMan I think overall it increases the difficulty, but in a very natural way. You can't just solo armies with your high stats character anymore, block speed makes a big difference when you're outnumbered. You generally need to micro more. On the plus side, a lot of the harder enemies that you can get cornered or flanked are easier. I really cannot play the game without it, anymore.
For the Recruitable Prisoners mod, make sure you disarm the prisoner. Ive recruited roughly 70 of the Fog so far and it became dramatically easier when I noticed that. Prior, I thought it was broken. Also theres a global cooldown of like roughly an hour to retry speaking to the prisoner. If the option doesnt come up, pick them up and toss them either back into the cage or into a different one. That usually fixes them.

@@Elvento if only, more mods means more lags and crashes, idk the exact amounts but uh I have about 10 small mods, the bigger the more consequences. Just speaking in general that the game uses RAM a lot. I have only 12 gigs and with those 10 mods it runs good. Something tells me more RAM won't exactly equate to more performance, most games have "ceilings". As I understand it loading and the like is RAM dependent. Objects,"people",areas, all that you've done, etc is RAM.
Some games use virtual ram, some are hd dependent, most use "run-time",basically a p recalculated area, nothing changes or moves except you and a small set of npcs. Kenshi being "dynamic" is a little different. Things go on in the background whether you're there or not. RAM stores the info. Then loads when you're near or while you're moving. All have pros and cons. Being able to write, code, and access large amounts of RAM isn't easy.
Let's use skyrim for example,it was written,in all it's splendor to utilize a 32 bit application at 4 gigs of RAM. Modded to "force" 8 gigs with issue because it wasn't written to use 8. Kenshi using 12 says a lot about it's dynamics, but pros and cons. HUGE amounts of codes, little obvious results, but necessary for it's separation from a game like skyrim that is static. Hopefully one day the two can marry and games will evolve.
"Wait he runs windows 7!?" Boots up PC runs Kenshi and turns shadows on. Quickly realizes that windows 7 doesn't mean that his PC's specs are shit. F*ck!
Yeah, on the topic you touched with people considering the strength and so on training mods, "Cheat mods", no, you are right, it's absolutely absurd and stupid how these methods to train those stats aren't also made into buildables just like other stats such as attack, thieving, lock picking, etc. I agree with you, no idea why anyone would ever call it a cheat mod, it's not. Unless they consider attack dummies and so on cheating? Understand that while there's a cap on those, it isn't the same as those stats and how they work with strength for example in just loading a shitton of items in your backpack and moving. Those base stats are different simply put.
@@TheStreetMan Yeah, but I mean, for this mod it really shouldn't be a debate, it should have been in the base game to begin with. Throwing rocks in your player's inventory and jogging around isn't hard to do. It's just annoying. I'd say it's more of an oversight by the Dev's to the extent that they decided not to make the character cap beyond 30 for performance concerns. And even then, it appears like you can go WAY beyond 30 characters with no problems, I haven't had any issues with it. At least, they should have just made it an option with a warning? But I think at this point they haven't done that because the mod has been out for so long, I assume anyways. So to say this strength training mod should be in the base game, but isn't now, i'd just assume it's because you can get the mod and Dev's are already working on Kenshi 2 so they CBA. don't vibe check me like this
Do this mods require making a new game?
Depends on the mods. You should be okay with most without having to restart.
@@TheStreetMan aight thanks for the reply
wish this game had cars like mad max :D
A wagon for the animals to pull would be good. Could hook two bulls with say 4 times what they carry. Maybe a mounted turret or two for protection.
Thanks for the set of mods that can crash my game.
Are there better gate mods?
how the hell could it be right to grow cactus on hydroponics!
im getting my head kicked in its hard to figure out how to train fast i want to play through with out mods but its rough
Did I hear it clear? The game will no longer be worked on by the Devs?
John Mascardo it will be worked on by the devs
*FLAVOUR*
Kind of random but I noticed he still runs windows 7! Woah
I still run windows 7 lol
That is because all MODer's were taught by Bethesda any MOD'ed game was highly allergic to Windows 10 running on Windows XP service pack 2.. Most games run smother on Windows 7 with compatibility on Windows Vista. Just ask the Millions who MOD Fallout 3 and got raped in Fallout 4.. LMFAO !!!
this game needs firearms, I don't mean modern types but more along the lines of muskets and poorly put together rifles., maybe even explosives like mines and grenades!
Andrew T, when I first saw that on the steam mods page I was filled with joy, but then I read into it further and saw that it doesn't have the sound and I think smoke or some sort of discharge you would get from firing a weapon like that. still looking for a quality mod to add in firearms.
Explosives would be cool with the ragdoll and limb damage.
Thank you soo much bro 👌
Thank you so much for this!
My mans out here still using windows 7
I'll be doing a vanilla run threw, then it's strait to NEXUS to grab about 40 MODS.. I just hope my Windows 7 Home Premium and NVIDIA Graphics 342.01 GeForce 210 doesn't get disease and starve to death !!!
I cannot recuit again,i think there are only 30 people in my squad can i make some more like 50 people? I dunno why i can’t invite some more people to my faction
windows 7?
Great video man
with mods kenshi eats roughly 11g ram, something gone wrong?
the way the engine works, much is stored and accessed in RAM
@@treynathaniel4075 oh... i see.. so, i need another 16g , 32g for play that game with all mods i want
I've been messing with Interactive World mod. Definitely makes a different play through.
Thanks
"Wait he runs windows 7!?" Boots up PC runs Kenshi and turns shadows on. Quickly realizes that windows 7 doesn't mean that his PC's specs are shit. F*ck!
where are those dang robots i can find them to save my life i've been running laps around the black desert for like three hours DX
Good video, make more videos of mods and talk about what they do.
Those base stats are different simply put.
it's the great debate of the kenshi community. I don't play anymore, but it's a singleplayer game. Enjoy it how you want to play
Again, I assume lol
@@TheStreetMan I liked the vid BTW, you gave some badass mod suggestions, these seem like it'll make the game a lot more fun. Cheers :>
kenshi 2 by 2035 lol
I have a awesome prisoner armory but I am awesome too with like 200 people

“Just a bit”
Okay, HOW do we ADD the mods to the game?
I have nearly half of 256. Only 121 lol it's hilarious. I got a archer battalion made up of 40 of them, rest are just warriors/craftsmen. Just steam roll those who go against my empire XD.
The story of human civilizations
I've got quite the capable pc, but the game still runs like crap.
Enjoying the gameplay though
less foilage , reduced weather , and i forgot the last one but these 2 mods help with fps a ton
Otoh it also runs like arse on a toaster.
Ya wish the dev had more money to continue this amazing game
I too have a capable PC, turning off shadows, and the less foliage mod made a huuuuuge difference.
More Names mod -- Yes, I have found 'Jesus' :)))
The nudity mods. yarp. Cannibalism is much more accurate , and FUN , with those mods.
I use a bunch of extra QoL mods. he mods that greatly reduce the grind so i can save time while playing are my favorites.
You're fucked up in the head, I like you
Damn they get universal basic income in kenshi now but corona virus is happening and we only get 1200. That’s bulllllllshhhhiittt
Very close to my modlist as well =)

I think there cheat mods as I tried a combat training mod and they level up so fast I be untouchable in a few hours. I had to load back and remove it. if I have something like that it hs to be as slow as the real game
Good
Awesome :D
No stronger group combat...................... Hmmm...............
