even though SAMSUNG heavily markets their "Nightography" for their S series phones , I will highly recommend using Pro Mode or Expert RAW App (its a samsung made pro app) for low light and even darker and darkest conditions . Yeah it might take a wee bit of tuning and testing at 1st to get to know how to change the ISO , shutter speed and EV but once you get used to it , it can take phenomenal low light snaps with very sharp and detailed images and properly exposed lightings and near to 0 noise .

This phone has its pros and cons, just like any other phone. But there are many reasons to buy this phone its definitely not a deal breaker, Here in the UK S23 FE is £599 and samsung is giving £150 discount, on the facebook market place you can get this phone brand new for around £350 which also comes with 12 months free disney plus. Now when it comes to samsung S23 FE it has DEX, ONE UI which is not very complicated like other android phones it has nice loud stereo speakers, Amoled x2 with 120hz display nice design, flat screen no edges and most importantly 5 years of support so it keeps its value for years. It is highly recommended against any other android phone for this price range.

Very happy with my S23 FE purchase. The screen is bright and sharp, photos are excellent and the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 chip performs flawlessly. No overheating or battery life issues unlike last year’s S22. The biggest complaint one could level at the phone is it’s a bloody heavy chonky brick. Seriously you can skip wrist curls at the gym if you use this phone one handed for any length of time. The form factor is almost identical to the A54 but it feels much heavier. Other than that no real complaints. Scored a deal for $399 U.S. (around 300 quid) last month so who can complain about that?

I've had the s23 fe for 2 months now. here are my overall thoughts.
    1. the phone tends to overheat while gaming especially graphic heavy games. if you lower the ram it helps but it still gets pretty warm.
    2. the phone also gets warm at random times out of the blue even if your not gaming. it usually only lasts a few minutes though
    2. this phone is excellent for emulation. silent hill 4, tekken 5, all ps2 resident evils and even even mortal kombat shaolin monks runs smoothly here. you'll have no issues running codm & genshin impact on max frames and graphics. I've had very little hick ups in genshin when played at max graphics, and 60 frames.
    3. the camera is great. absolutely no complaints
    4. the battery is alright. you could probably get 1.5-2 days worth of battery if you barely touched the phone at all but even light use on RUclips drains the battery quite a bit and gaming will absolutely destroy the battery.
overall if I think theirs better options available for the price tag. especially phones that have expandable memory. but if your a light phone user you'll be fine with this
    7.7/10

I feel that OneUI is actually better than stock now. Using a Pixel is like using an iPhone, actually not that customisable. I have my Samsung devices setup exactly the way I like them without fannying about with launchers etc.
I would counter the "Samsung duplicates apps" and point to Huawei, who have spent years trying to catch up with the US throwing their toys out of the pram, whilst still allowing government owned Honor to have the play store. In Korea Samsung are huge, and their own services actually have a lot of users. Although unlikely, if for ANY reason the relationship between Samsung and Google sours, or the US and South Korea, they have decent quality apps/access to apps on day 1.

I've had the A54 for a few months now. It's awesome for a cheaper mid range. Only gripe I have is the Exynos 1380 in it. Not for speed or performance, but just because wifi disconnects a few times a day and cell signal seems weak at times compared to other phones I've had with Snapdragon. Either way wish Samsung would get the connection issues figured out on their Exynos chipsets

Does the chipset make a difference with the number of bars on the signal? With O2 and noticed the signal has been a bit lower in last year and half. Have Samsung A53 with Exynos chip.
Thought was fault with the signal from transmitter, but would the chip affect this?

    • @Daniel-dj7fh
      @Daniel-dj7fh 11 месяцев назад

I don't know where you live, but in Germany O2 is a pile of shit. I'm less than a kilometre away from Frankfurt (central) and I get 3 from 4 bars sitting next to my window. And 5g is non existent at my place.
Generally spoken the chip can have effect on this because that's the component handling all the data/information to make the signal into something the user can use. At the same time it could also be your antennas having a problem receiving the signal or the network card not working properly, if this were a phone issue.
I wouldn't understand why Samsung would make your connection worse software wise tho.@@robinhosleftfoot

Good review and the advice about waiting a few weeks for price drops of the regular S23 range, when the S24 range is released. I have the S20FE 5G which I got with a good discount back in 2020. That was the best phone I owned until I bought the S23 Ultra in June with a big cashback discount and free Samsung Buds Pro. The S23 FE needs to be at least £100 cheaper! Samsung UK are doing a discount of £100 using a code at the checkout, as I type this! It is using 'old' SoC. My S20FE had the SD865 which was superior to the Exynos of the regular S20/+/Ultra and Note series in the UK. The regular S23/+/Ultra is Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Then it has already lost 1 year of update, since it will have Android 14 out of the box! And if you are not into the Samsung Eco system, there are other options.

Yes, battery life is the deal-breaker for the Exynos 2200. Having had both the S22 and S22U, they both sucked, 3-4 hours SOT, and 5 -5.5 hours SOT, respectively and despite updates over the year, they never improved (did resets and tinkered with settings). The S23FE would be okay for a light user, but considering I can get 8-10 hours of SOT with the same usage on the S23U, it isn't nice on Exynos.
I have heard that the S24 and S24+ will have Exynos in Europe so I cannot even recommend you wait for them. With sales of the S23 being below expectations, Samsung has warehouses full of unsold S23s and they are currently 44% off new on Amazon (reseller), at around £540, so that would be my choice over the S23FE.

I recently needed to update my dying Galaxy S10+ (from 2019), and I quickly decided on this. The reason is that in my Country, Samsumg decided not to sell the S24+. So my options are the S24 Ultra, which is too big and expensive and has an S-Pen that I dont need. Or the regular S24, which is too small for me. Or this, which is exactly the right size, fast enough for me, well-made and half the price of an S24 (or less than a third of an Ultra!)
