Some people actually do love bezel. There are people who had a big hand that can't use any bezelless phone. They often miss click something. The problem with Samsung is they put huge bezel but not having a front faced speakers.
The Fan Editions from Samsung are great option if you wait for an year for price drop. Given the number of years the phone will receive updates you will get a great deal for good screen and camera after a large price drop by 2025. Just look at the previous FE.

The S20 FE 5G was the best of the best! It had everything you could want in a flagship with midrange prices. Wish I was more careful after 3 years ownership. Bloody dropped it camera face first. No point repairing it when Google offered more than the phone was worth when upgrading
I have the A55 and I live in the US. It's pretty good. I have the S20+ but, it no longer will receive updates. I love the phone a bit more than the A55. The camera is just okay. The finger reader sometimes doesn't work. The updates are spot on. The call quality is much better then the S20+. The battery life is great. It supports AI.
I think we all need to just agree that Apple and Samsung have mostly peaked. It doesn’t matter which one is better,they both hit cozy spots and haven’t really been doing shit since. If you have a good phone just KEEP it and let’s start taking advantage of these software update promises.

This is the way. I have an S21+ and it's still enough phone for probably another 2 years as it's getting Android 15 and another year and a half of security patches. It even currently has a lot of the AI gimmicks people with shiny brand new iPhone 16's don't have yet lol. Gonna get a used S24+ for probably $250 on eBay by that point.

Especially when used S22's and S23's are around or even under $400 on the used market. Next year the S24's will be that price. Give you some way round this, buy a mini c type Micro SD card adaptor as it can be used as a mini card reader, but this is why They have done away with SD card slots because making more money with cloud rubbish, as no privacy at all,

2400e is actually a monster chip too brother. it can activated ray tracing btw, with npu high enough to process all the AI features and gaming is handled pretty well too. i think we need to give them a chance to prove themselves. their exynos is getting better every year

Agreed. My s20 fe battery is dying too, need to recharge several times a day, and the heating of the phone has been hurting my hands for years. I am looking for a new phone now, preferable the ones that has less heating issue. maybe xiaomi 14t, 14t pro, or vivo v40.
Sorry but Samsung really shooting themselves in the foot with this S24 FE. I had the S20 FE 5G and it was a brilliant phone! Had everything a flagship wanted it to be from high refresh rate screen, sd card expansion, stereo speakers along with ip68 rating and wireless charging and reverse wireless charging! For the price it was killer! These newer FE editions are not becoming cheap are they? They seem to lack as well! Only reason why I've switched to my first pixel phone (pixel 8) was due to me dropping it camera face down after 3 years ownership. Otherwise I would have kept it as long as possible. Now going to a pixel 8 is so so much better. I wanted a compact phone as I'm sick of having something so large in my pockets. It was either the pixel or Zenphone 10. But due to lack of updates, I thought the pixel would be a good workhorse. The haptics are violent. So bloody strong. The pixel is far cheaper with longer service life. They gave me £160 trade in for my smashed/broken Samsung phone making the pixel 8 256GB £390. Bargain! I love Samsung's but I don't want bigger screen real estate. The last smaller phones Samsung produced had mediocre battery. This pixel far FAR exceeds my expectations and puts my previous S20 FE 5G to shame which again I thought was excellent. The only thing which is p1ssing me off with today's phones is the lack of Micro SD cards. Without one, they charge a premium for you to have more storage or do online storage which I'm not a fan of. So my advice is choose a pixel over this S24 FE. Your getting everything plus more for alot cheaper👍
Samsung was smoking some weed when they priced this thing. This isn't should've been 400 at best. I mean the One Plus Ace 3 Pro Plus is like 400+ and that has insanely better specs.
They should just quit with the whole FE line. It's never a good deal for price/quality ratio when new. I would advice people to look for S23, especially in EU. I've seen them being sold for between 350-450€ and have snapdragon chipset.
Unexpectedly, Samsung isn't too bad for me, you just have to customize a bit I think as I don't use auto-correct. Happy with it, especially when using Keys Cafe.
A lot of people will buy this phone, the same way people will buy regular iPhone 16. Geeks don't represent the average consumer who still go in stores to buy a smartphone and doesn't have time to compare everything. The average consumer doesn't have time to compare chip, ufs, nits, etc.... 📌So stop crying: you don't like it, you don't buy it. Since 2020, every midrange and flagship can last 4 years at least and smartphones market is mature. Sales have decreased each year because of long term support. Brands don't need to innnovate that much. 📌FE is a way from Samsung to make medias speak about Galaxy until January and at the same time of new Pixel and new iPhone. It's not for fans.
So, $650- $700 seems to be the new price level for midrange phones. Samsung and Apple make this seem reasonable by placing the top models at $1500-$2000. And people keep buying their products and thereby endorsing this.

Smaller screen size and a bigger battery by increasing the thickness would've made me consider this as a worthy upgrade from my S21 FE. But with a bigger screen I just don't trust the battery life.

I think this phone will hit the sweet spot once sale prices come. 1. Samsung non-top flagship phones of late always start at a high price and see significant discounts. This will be A LOT of phone after the price drops another $100 to $200 in 3 to 6 months at Black Friday sales. It will be a real awesome deal then. 2. The bezels aren't at all bad. The chin is there, but it is actually a positive for people who use a case. The thin bezels on my s23 Ultra can be too close to the edge of a solid case that offers screen protection. The bezels are close enough to flagship that I don't care. 3. The speed is really great. Enough for 99% of actual users. If you want the Snapdragon phone, then go buy it and shut your cake hole. Half of the comments are China bots and middle schoolers anyway. 4. Thank you to the producer of this video for pointing out that the battery will likely improve after a week or two of internal optimization. 5. If you want a Chinese phone with great specs but a wonky UI, crap support and lacking updates, then get one and STFU for the 2 years it is actually viable. 6. The only things I dislike is the weight and slow charging. I would rather have a lighter glasstick back to bring the weight down, as I use a case anyway.
On my s20fe i get around the same battery life as you do on the s24fe....but mine is 3 years old at this point. I'd prefere if they put just plastic on the back of the phone instead of glass and put some better battery in there. Plus i am definetly not a fan of the exynos chipset. I experienced it before and while on the low end it is fine, on the higher end it tends to be hot. Realy hot.
This is a bad move to use the exons chip they should of use the same chips as the mediadencity 9300 as the tablets and saved in bulk it would have been better received I think I’ll pick up a s23 instead

Hmmm, it was kinda expensive even for a long time after and it has battery, heating and gps problems for me, camera can produce great images and solid video but also both sometimes very terribly for example in low light or weird circumstances where it just looks way overprocessed

In the US the S24 is $200 more and currently on pre-order they giving $250 for the s20+. Going to exchange for my mom so she can have security updates for the next 7 years (though probably exchange at 4). I don't think she will notice the change in resolution, but will appreciate the zoom lense.
S23 FE had launched when I wanted to buy FE series, went with S21 FE SD888 version Cuz 1) Snapdragon over Exynos 2) No ugly bezels 3) Cheap and value for money as S23 FE had just launched and FE series for launch price is biggest mistake. After a month or two they go cheaper which is actually "FE" price point. The launch price is just a gimmick. 8:21
Maybe if they added the SD slot, I might have considered it but that price though...I can buy 2x A55's for the price of an S24 FE here in South Africa. We also didn't get the 512GB version...only 128 and 256GB and if I'm planning to keep this phone for a few years, 256GB will not be enough I'm afraid. Oh, and Samsung's trade-in deals are trash here. If I trade in my A54, I only get R1600 off on the S24FE...no extra deals regarding the watch and buds FE compared to the US. I can get 5 times more by selling my phone on MarketPlace.

S20 FE had flagship level and cool features at an affordable price which was why it is the only worthy FE phone. Also, there was something about the mobile that was just awesome. It was a really good deal even in 2023 with snapdragon processor. The other FE's all feel lacking and there are really better alternatives to them. The opposition has catched up to them and Samsung better improve their game or just stop the FE gimmick.
S20 FE was the best FE model, S21 FE was okay but felt way too cheap. Since the S23 FE, FE doesnt stand anymore for Fan Edition but Foolish Edition. Chonky bezels, less performance, worse screen, lots of plastic ! The right naming would be A55 FE or A75 !

Agreed. My s20 fe battery is dying too, need to recharge several times a day, and the heating of the phone has been hurting my hands for years. I am looking for a new phone now, preferable the ones that has less heating issue. maybe xiaomi 14t, 14t pro, or vivo v40.

I had the S20 FE 5G and it was a brilliant phone! Had everything a flagship wanted it to be from high refresh rate screen, sd card expansion, stereo speakers along with ip68 rating and wireless charging and reverse wireless charging! For the price it was killer! These newer FE editions are not becoming cheap are they? They seem to lack as well!
Only reason why I've switched to my first pixel phone (pixel 8) was due to me dropping it camera face down after 3 years ownership. Otherwise I would have kept it as long as possible.
Now going to a pixel 8 is so so much better. I wanted a compact phone as I'm sick of having something so large in my pockets. It was either the pixel or Zenphone 10. But due to lack of updates, I thought the pixel would be a good workhorse. The haptics are violent. So bloody strong.
The pixel is far cheaper with longer service life. They gave me £160 trade in for my smashed/broken Samsung phone making the pixel 8 256GB £390. Bargain!
I love Samsung's but I don't want bigger screen real estate. The last smaller phones Samsung produced had mediocre battery. This pixel far FAR exceeds my expectations and puts my previous S20 FE 5G to shame which again I thought was excellent.
The only thing which is p1ssing me off with today's phones is the lack of Micro SD cards. Without one, they charge a premium for you to have more storage or do online storage which I'm not a fan of.
So my advice is choose a pixel over this S24 FE. Your getting everything plus more for alot cheaper👍
Samsung was smoking some weed when they priced this thing. This isn't should've been 400 at best. I mean the One Plus Ace 3 Pro Plus is like 400+ and that has insanely better specs.
They should just quit with the whole FE line. It's never a good deal for price/quality ratio when new. I would advice people to look for S23, especially in EU. I've seen them being sold for between 350-450€ and have snapdragon chipset.
Unexpectedly, Samsung isn't too bad for me, you just have to customize a bit I think as I don't use auto-correct. Happy with it, especially when using Keys Cafe.

A lot of people will buy this phone, the same way people will buy regular iPhone 16. Geeks don't represent the average consumer who still go in stores to buy a smartphone and doesn't have time to compare everything. The average consumer doesn't have time to compare chip, ufs, nits, etc....
📌So stop crying: you don't like it, you don't buy it. Since 2020, every midrange and flagship can last 4 years at least and smartphones market is mature. Sales have decreased each year because of long term support. Brands don't need to innnovate that much.
📌FE is a way from Samsung to make medias speak about Galaxy until January and at the same time of new Pixel and new iPhone. It's not for fans.

Smaller screen size and a bigger battery by increasing the thickness would've made me consider this as a worthy upgrade from my S21 FE. But with a bigger screen I just don't trust the battery life.
It's literally harder for them to make the bezels so uneven like that! They do it so you see this and say "just give me the s24 or 24 ultra" funny how the s20 fe had better bezels!
I think this phone will hit the sweet spot once sale prices come.
1. Samsung non-top flagship phones of late always start at a high price and see significant discounts. This will be A LOT of phone after the price drops another $100 to $200 in 3 to 6 months at Black Friday sales. It will be a real awesome deal then.
2. The bezels aren't at all bad. The chin is there, but it is actually a positive for people who use a case. The thin bezels on my s23 Ultra can be too close to the edge of a solid case that offers screen protection. The bezels are close enough to flagship that I don't care.
3. The speed is really great. Enough for 99% of actual users. If you want the Snapdragon phone, then go buy it and shut your cake hole. Half of the comments are China bots and middle schoolers anyway.
4. Thank you to the producer of this video for pointing out that the battery will likely improve after a week or two of internal optimization.
5. If you want a Chinese phone with great specs but a wonky UI, crap support and lacking updates, then get one and STFU for the 2 years it is actually viable.
6. The only things I dislike is the weight and slow charging. I would rather have a lighter glasstick back to bring the weight down, as I use a case anyway.
On my s20fe i get around the same battery life as you do on the s24fe....but mine is 3 years old at this point. I'd prefere if they put just plastic on the back of the phone instead of glass and put some better battery in there.
Plus i am definetly not a fan of the exynos chipset. I experienced it before and while on the low end it is fine, on the higher end it tends to be hot.

Hmmm, it was kinda expensive even for a long time after and it has battery, heating and gps problems for me, camera can produce great images and solid video but also both sometimes very terribly for example in low light or weird circumstances where it just looks way overprocessed

here is the thing. A55 is overall a good phone for now however unlike the S24 i can't see people use it for more than 2-3 years. from the S series (or iphones) people can carry 4-6 years the phone which results in an actual cheaper price and better phone

In the US the S24 is $200 more and currently on pre-order they giving $250 for the s20+. Going to exchange for my mom so she can have security updates for the next 7 years (though probably exchange at 4). I don't think she will notice the change in resolution, but will appreciate the zoom lense.

Maybe if they added the SD slot, I might have considered it but that price though...I can buy 2x A55's for the price of an S24 FE here in South Africa. We also didn't get the 512GB version...only 128 and 256GB and if I'm planning to keep this phone for a few years, 256GB will not be enough I'm afraid. Oh, and Samsung's trade-in deals are trash here. If I trade in my A54, I only get R1600 off on the S24FE...no extra deals regarding the watch and buds FE compared to the US. I can get 5 times more by selling my phone on MarketPlace.

I have s23 fe...and this phone feels like a budget phone..like cheap midrange...from display quality to overall feel ... although I got this phone for basically the price of a35...and s23fe feels like a35 .. crappy camera.. crappy display...I don't recommend s23fe to anyone...hope s24fe feels better in hand

S20 FE had flagship level and cool features at an affordable price which was why it is the only worthy FE phone. Also, there was something about the mobile that was just awesome. It was a really good deal even in 2023 with snapdragon processor. The other FE's all feel lacking and there are really better alternatives to them. The opposition has catched up to them and Samsung better improve their game or just stop the FE gimmick.
S20 FE was the best FE model, S21 FE was okay but felt way too cheap.
Since the S23 FE, FE doesnt stand anymore for Fan Edition but Foolish Edition.
