I can see this tool becoming another in our line of “most used”.
As renovations contractors we love the impact, oscillating saw, and this will likely fill the gap we have when some more powerful and quicker than the oscillating saw can do.
For us the standard size circular is too large, the oscillating can be too slow, the reciprocating saw too rough, and the jig saw too delicate!
So they provide the rip fence/edge guide with a 100$ tool but failed to do so with the 300$ flexvolt saw... 🤦♂️
That saw would be perfect for doing timber flooring repairs
Great review thanks brother!
Looks a great little powerful saw 👍
Those are great for cutting back siding for Smart trim.
Sounds like a winner too me. I do alot of repairs so the cordless factor is big to me.
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Doug.
Makes me want to buy more tools i don't really need but want lol
Beautiful tools dewalt
I NEED to buy this saw! I don't need the saw, I just need to buy one lol
I love mine!!!!! You can use either hand.
I just ordered it!!
I just found out I have to wait till october to get my saw delivered(over a month and a half) because tool nut has it on pre order. That sucks becausei have some jobs and i need it now!!
Great now I gotta buy another saw I don’t need

Darn straight
At one time Rockwell made fine tooth woodcutting and a metal cut blades in that size. This machine would be a trim saw-finer tooth carbide and metal cut carbide blades should be made available for this machine. It would be a handy size-have a plug in Rockwell machine similar to this.
This would be too small to use as a framing saw.Wonder if the small motor would hold up in the tough world of framing.Could see this in a framers toolkit for cutting window openings.Don't know how well this machine would hold up on rip cuts on 2 by stock. You do hear the motor lug down in the 2 by cuts in the video.
It’s not made for framing
will this cut through 45mm?
Can you adjust so the saw can cut say only 1/2” depth?
Yes. You can order yours now at toolnut.com - thanks!
The action starts @ 3:46
Some heroes don't wear capes
I thought the saw was too large for 4.5inch, but it looks tiny in your hands.
Good demo! Will this cut hardiboard with the correct blade?
Yes, you can order the fiber cement blade from our website - www.toolnut.com/dewalt-dwa412pcd-4-1-2-4-tooth-carbide-circular-saw-blade.html
have you tried to cut 1/2" and 3/4" metal conduit?
This saw is designed to be used for cutting wood, fiber cement and similar materials. There's not a metal cutting blade currently available.

any 4.5 thin angle grinder blade would work?
@@KaneLono We cannot recommend attempting to use a blade not made for this saw. It's not designed to be used with grinder wheels.
I have it now. Great tool. The only thing I don't like it is the lower blade guard. Because is a flimsy plastic.
I dont like the plastic either
Hello sir, can i use my 18v xr 4ah battery on this tool?
No, the 18V XRP batteries are not compatible. Sorry. We do offer this tool as a kit that includes the newer 20V MAX batteries and a charger. www.toolnut.com/atomic-saw
Any links to a blade for it please?
@scott, we currently have the Diablo D0436X 4-3/8 In. 36-Tooth blade in stock. We are still waiting for product data from DeWALT for their blades, but those should be listed and available for purchase on our website in the coming days. Those blades will include a general purpose wood blade which comes with the saw, DWA412TCT, and a fiber cement blade, DWA412PCD. Otherwise, the saw will accept any 4-1/2" blade with a 3/8" arbor, regardless of manufacturer.
You didn't adjust blade depth.
nice tool but this is the base or intro version of this kind of tool. l will way until XR version with more accessories.
@minor25 Is there for sure a XR version of this saw coming out, do you have any more info on maybe when?
Nice review. It would really be helpful to know how long it lasts cutting through 2x or 3/4-in plywood. Also I highly recommend you lower the volume when firing up the saw, it's a little harsh on the ears.
Not long with standard batteries, I bet. It was already slowing down with this simple cut - for my nickel - for 100 I will get a good one someone wants to get rid of. That is my idea of a bargain.
I get 6 blades with my new 20 vol WORKS CIRCULAR SAW plus a laser guide..
Do you suggest it or just go with dcs 578
It's really this vs DCS512
Many other blades that will fit it? I just came from HD and they didn’t have a single 4.5 blade. I think the lack of blades will limit its utility. I could see using it for trim and molding, but not with a 24-tooth blade. And if there aren’t any fine tooth blades for it.....then it’s not worth buying.
Lee B. Unfortunately a 4.5” blade is probably not a common size blade for HD, also due to the smaller diameter of the blade 24T would be considered more of a finish blade. We’d recommend using a miter saw for trim
I bought a 4 3/8” diablo finish blade, 36 tooth which is really fine on such a small blade, works great on hardwoods and trim.
motor seemed to struggle a bit.
That isn't a belt hook. Could you imagine DeWalt's lawyers actually giving the ok for them to suggest you hang a saw from your belt? It is a "hang" hook, or if you prefer, a rafter hook.
There isn't a safety factor when hanging it from your belt. You'll need to depress a blade release button first and then the trigger button to get it operational.
Correct. DeWalt sells separate belt hooks for their tools. It's completely differently. That would never stay on a belt.
Not a bit of the saw dust was going out the dust port lol.
First?
Probably because a vacuum isn’t attached lol lol
I can not find anywhere to buy that size blade, I even went to the dewalt site. I like the saw but will not purchase one till I find a reliable place to buy blades
Here are the blades - www.toolnut.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=DCS571
Thanks
You can hear the motor laboring I’m just sayin!
Nice saw. I Might get it but Dewalt bascially copied the WORX WU520 and rebranded it.
The saw it’s very heavy and just barely cut a 2x4
$150 AND NO BATTERY? WTF
Welcome to tools. 😂
Here we go again. Buying another toy
Thanks for the order at toolnut.com, Alex!
